Review content:
The ONLY thing good about any Royal Oaks Medical Center is that they are a predominantly walk-in type clinic with late hours, therefore they serve as a good alternative to the ER in terms of saving money. However, if you are looking to save yourself a long ER-type wait time, don't bother going here. Time spent in the waiting room alone can often exceed one hour and you'll spend just as long, if not longer waiting to be seen by the doctor once you do get to the back, even though you often will never see one but will rather be seen by a nurse practitioner. And even though you never see your doctor, you will be billed as though you did and some how your prescriptions will bear one's name as the issues. \r
\r
And speaking of prescriptions, if you don't plan for your condition to miraculously cure itself in less than a week- DON'T GO HERE. They are the 'Nazi's' of prescription refills. And should they some how have a heart for a mili-second and decide to refill your script, don't think for a second that they will do so without first treating you like a heroine abuser. \r
\r
They NEVER return phone calls. All referral and prescription calls are diverted to a voicemail but you will never hear back unless you call almost daily. Should your request for a refill be denied, you will not be notified. If they have to refer you to a specialist they will not call you. Rather, they will send you an appointment card in the mail. (An appointment card which will more than likely get to you AFTER your appointment date- I know. This has happened to me TWICE.) \r
\r
As if these things alone aren't bad enough, they way that the doctor's and practitioner's 'treat' you is outright disgusting!! After waiting two plus hours, someone will walk in, robotically say hello and ask what your symptoms are, and then issue a whole rash of meds. (Remember, those meds that they won't refill when you run out bc you're not better because the doctor's don't really care at all about making you feel better...) \r
\r
So, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST!! Its not worth your time, your money, and the insult you will incur by being treated so shiteously.
Pros: Open until 8 p.m.- Good alternative to the E.R. after hours.
Cons: Very poor service. Long wait times. Incompassionate doctors.
