Above and Beyond Service 10/10/2011

I love taking my car to Roy's for service. I know that the entire staff goes above and beyond the "standard". I don't mind paying a little more for an oil change because I know he inspects all kinds of safety issues. Also, I am single woman and they serve rather than take advantage of me. They make sure what is done, is done right. Honest suggestions for future service are given. I NEVER have to worry about scams that other shops participate in regularly. The shop and waiting area are clean. I don't have to listen to the typical "Mechanic talk" so prevalent in other places. Roy Foster's Automotive is the "friend" you can go to who is honest: a family tradition. I used to use the cheapest service I could find, but this is clearly a better way to take care of my older car, even in this economy. more

Awesome service! 10/8/2011

I'm from out of town and had a brake problem. I had my truck towed to Roy Fosters (recommended by tow truck driver) they were very busy, but they diagnosed the problem fixed it that same day and got me back on the road. The price was very fair and the quality of the work excellent. Friendly and honest, I highly recommend them to anyone. more

friendly, professional and efficient 10/4/2011

We were having problems with our battery holding a charge, saw the shop, and drove in. Not only did Mr. Foster help us immediately, he was friendly, professional and efficient. He tested the electrical system, verified the battery was the problem, and sold us a battery with a better warranty and at less cost than a competing shop had quoted us over the phone. The shop is clean and well maintained. We were so impressed with the level and quality of service we received, that we have told our friends to use this shop for their car maintenance needs. more

I've been taking my cars to Roy Foster's Automotive since 1985. Service has always been quick, accurate, and professional. The new facility at 6th Street and Keystone is great. Taking our vehicles to Foster's is always easy and stress free. They are friendly, true mechanics, and always helpful. My bill was a little cheaper than they originally quoted me -- That's always a good thing! more

5 on car service, 1 star for quote 10/3/2011

The service was great as usual, but the quote was not good. Twice it was requoted and each time it added $100 to the total; ending up costing $200 more that was originally quoted. Not sure what to do next time to be sure that the quote is correct. more

Definitely a 5 star service: Friendly, competent, timely, & honest about the work being done & yet to be done They didn't force anything extra but explained needed to be done now & what could wait until later with full explanations about what had been done. more

Great Service 9/22/2011

My car broke down on the snowiest day we have had so far a right before Thanksgiving. I had the car towed to your station and withing hours you had a diagnosis for it and it was fixed and finished the next day. That is what I call service. I appreciate all of your help. You are the Best!!!!! more

I have been looking for what I call a neighborhood service station since I came to Reno. At last, I found what I consider to be the right place: Roy Foster's Downtown Service Center. Prompt, clean, friendly service and people you can trust. That makes a difference. I guarantee that is where I will take my cars for service. more
