My dog is very very social and loves being around other people and dogs so I chose Rover Oaks when I went out of town last November. I was told they were booked but would be able to take him if I upgraded to the special ?puppy package? which included a treat and extra one-on-one playtime. It ended up being pricier than other places (around $200 total for 5 days) but I went ahead and did it.\r \r Fast forward to today, I made an online reservation for doggy daycare and was informed that he would need a temperament test. I call to clarify, since he?s already boarded there before and was informed that he had been left ALONE most of the time, with the exception of bathroom breaks and the short one-on-one play sessions. \r \r If I had known in advance I NEVER would have boarded him there. The website even states under dog boarding ?group play in doggie daycare?, which is a LIE. I was completely disgusted and the person on the phone wasn?t even the least bit apologetic. I will never come here again but instead will board him where he is able to play in doggy daycare while I am gone and there are cameras so I can look in on him instead of relying on their fake ?report cards?. Now it makes perfect sense that he was so clingy when I got back since he had little to no interaction for most of his time at Rover Oaks. more

Amazing, amazing and more amazing! Rover Oaks Houston provided excellent service from my first phone call with their training department director. I was given unlimited time to ask my limitless questions. After that first interaction, I knew this was the perfect place for my Rottweiler puppy to receive training. The trainers at Rover Oaks are first class in every way. I am not a person who likes to leave their pet in other's care but my dog was so well cared for and loved at Rover Oaks, it was hard to get him to leave with me at the end of the day. From the front desk, to the pet technicians, to the training staff and my dog's personal trainer everyone was more than courteous and professional. My dog and I felt like part of the Rover Oaks Family and we will continue to use all the wonderful services they provide for many years to come. The benefit far outweighs the cost, and when you leave Rover Oaks you can't help but feel that was money well spent. Rover Oaks and their remarkable staff are an asset to our community and come highly recommended by me and my now well-behaved puppy! Jill G. Houston, Texas more

I have been taking my dog Sophie to Rover Oaks for almost 2 years now (she is 2 years old). I board Sophie when necessary and I always feel relieved when I leave her there because I know she is in great hands. Sophie LOVES the staff and I really enjoy that they call her by her first name. I also take her to daycare once a week at Rover Oaks and she always has SO much fun. I can tell because she is so tired when I pick her up and also based on the awesome pictures I see on facebook. I absolutely love Rover Oaks and feel confident to say that I 100% trust them with my baby. I would recommend them to anyone! Great/trustworthy staff, awesome facility with so much space for the dogs to play, and happy dogs for my Sophie to play with! Rover oaks also has great customer service and a great facebook page. :) more

I've been taking my dog to Rover Oaks for about three years now. It amazes, every time I walk in they immediately know Dallas (my dog) and recognize me by name. They have always been able to accommodate any requests for lodging and doggy daycare. The staff there are genuinely concerned about your pet, and you can tell that everyone who works there are animal lovers! When I leave Dallas there for boarding, I don't worry about her, as I know she is receiving top notch care; that in and of itself is well worth the price! I very highly recommend Rover Oaks for both boarding and doggy daycare!! more

Rover Oaks!!!!, I must say was a wonderful experience for me and my husband. We had many doubts in leaving our dog Sasha at any dog boarding facility. We just were afraid to leave her anywhere. Our Vet gave us a list of reputable dog boarding facilities. We checked three facilities and found Rover Oaks to be very personal, pleasant and upmost professional. Amy Hoffman did a wonderful job of discussing and reassuring us that Sasha would have excellent care and , and informed us in detail what to expect in the V.I.P. Gold program which also was obedience training.\r Our puppy, a beautiful German Shepherd, definetly needed lots of work on her behavior. As the days went by and we would visit with her for classes she turned out to be much improved than before, on her manners, jumping on people, and various commands. Sasha was there for 3 weeks and we felt very much at ease with our puppy having a great time at Rover Oaks.\r Thanks to Amy and Jim, the trainer, we knew our puppy was in good hands. Amy shows great concern for animals and makes you feel comfortable with any issues you may have with your animal. Amy follows up on any issues and reassures you that every thing is O.K.. Sasha enjoyed her stay and is going back for 2 more weeks.\r Every one is pleasant and polite and the atmosphere at Rover Oaks is A+.\r \r HIP HIP HOORAY!!! for Rover Oaks.\r \r Suzanne and Richard more

Everyone at RO are so nice and helpful when it comes to caring for my beloved golden/sheltie!\r they even were so honest and reported that she did not enjoy interacting with other dogs and bringing her to doggie daycare was a waste of my money. How sweet is that?!!! The staff truly cares about the pets well being. Hard to find in today's world!! more

My dog didn't want to leave! My senior canine, almost 14, hated being boarded at our vet's office. I took her to Rover Oaks and she lounged in luxury in a suite with a tv and cuddle time. She was in heaven and hated to leave when I picked her up. We have found our pet resort! more

Awesome Customer Service!! 4/3/2011

I finally found a Pet Resort that is perfect for Tristan. We've tried 3 different boarding facilites in the past 2 years and I wasn't pleased because Tristan would be sick or sad for about a week after boarding. We did our first over night boarding with Rover Oaks the beginning of March. I must say that Tristan was so happy when I picked him up and we had no stomach issues. It seems to be perfect fit. I recently emailed to get Tristan reservations for the remainder of the year and the customer service was great. Toni helped me get Tristan in during their busiest season. Toni worked with me and my schedule to secure his reservations even after making changes for a couple of days. Thanks so much for having individuals like Toni work for Rover Oaks. I have been pleased with the customer service and care Tristan and I have received. "I am a happy mom.." Thanks again Rover Oaks and Toni!! more

I have been using Rover Oaks to board my dog for six years. I have been so pleased with the care my dog receives, as well as the customer service I have received. It makes me feel so much more comfortable and confident leaving my dog when the staff take the time to get down on my dog's level and greet her before leading her to the back. When I call to check on her while she is being boarded, I either am able to speak with someone immediately or I get a return call in a reasonable amount of time and I receive a detailed and honest update on how my dog is doing. Great grooming! 2/22/2011

Sherry did the most fabulous job on my teacup maltese! My dog has never looked better. I am so happy since my dog can be very difficult to groom. Truly the best cut my dog has ever had. Kudos to Sherry and Rover Oaks. more

Wonderful Boarding and Grooming 12/29/2010

I have been boarding my dog Coco at Rover Oaks for over 8 years. The facility is beautiful and the people that work there are wonderful. Just recently, I started grooming Coco there because I have been very unhappy with the previous places that I've taken him. The groomers are fantastic and accommodating. I brought Coco for a grooming just before the holidays and it was one of the best cuts he's ever received. I am grateful to Rover Oaks for taking such good care of my baby! more

Wonderful customer service and boarding 12/6/2010

One of the hardest things about moving to a new area is finding excellent care for your pet when you are travelling out of the area. We have an energetic 4 year old dog that is truly a member of our family and I was determined to find a quality daycare and boarding facility for him. My search lead me to Rover Oaks and I couldn't be happier. The excellent customer service (especially in the reservation department...thanks, Toni!) and the caring attention that is given to Duke provides me with a total sense of comfort while I am away. He returns home relaxed and tired but is always eager to return to his "home" away from home. Thanks, Rover Oaks! more
