Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We had a major blockage in the kitchen sink on 7/6/11. Called Roto-Rooter and had a plumber out within hours. John Williams was polite, efficient and fair! more

I had a problem with my toilet not flushing water all the way. John 3623 came out and snaked and it's working now. John was very informative as to what he was doing. He then took a camera to find out what the problem is and it turns out there is a big belly impeding by the front step. Thank you very much John for your work. Mel arrived at out house around 7PM. It had been a long day for him and it was about to get even longer...... \r \r After talking with us and checking the drains and cleanouts in our basement, Mel determined that the problem was a partial blockage in the main line. The next step was to find the cleanout in the front lawn, which turned out to be impossible. Our house is about 40 years old and to my knowledge, no one has ever had to use the cleanout. In fact, after probing the lawn for about 10 or 15 minutes and creating a “Swiss cheese” pattern, he decided that the best approach would be to use the main cleanout in the basement. So Mel got the ""big"" snake out of his van and carefully maneuvered it down the 11 stairs to the basement.\r \r But, it didn't get any easier once he was down there. The cleanout plug refused to cooperate and he had to break the brass plug to get into the cleanout. We have a 50 foot set-back, so he figured that he would have to use about 80 foot of snake to clear the blockage. After feeding about 60 foot of unwieldy cable into the cleanout, he found the problem. The snake made quick work of the blockage and the sludge dissipated into I can only assume, the main sewer, buried somewhere under the street pavement.\r \r Mel set up his snake tent and let the ""big snake"" do its thing to rewind and recoil. Then he resealed the cleanout with a brand new brass plug and cleaned up the area immediately adjacent to the snake. All that was left was to verify that the drain was working (the easy part) and then lug the 300 pound machine up the 11 stairs (the hard part) and put it back into his truck. With the snake put back in the van, it was time for Mel to show us how to use the organic cleaner, which he did.\r \r It was now almost 10PM, and after a 13 hour day, Mel’s last task was to run my credit card and give us the receipt.\r \r During his almost 3 hour visit, Mel was always courteous and answered all of our questions. I would not hesitate calling Rotor Router again, but next time, I’ll making sure that I ask for Technician #3150.\r more

After I called Roto-Rooter for service, I received a call after a few minutes from Adrian, who said he would be over within half hour. He came right on time and got to work immediately. Adrian was friendly and cordial--a real gentleman. Adrian was quite confident and enthusiastic about his work. He explained all that he needed to do to clear the kitchen double-sink drains. Before he started work, he was considerate to plan his work so not to make a mess. I appreciated that. He snaked the pipes below the sink and the drains are back to normal. He made suggestions to keep the drains clear and left me an estimate for possible future work on a second floor bathroom drain that is drawing slowly. I was surprise on how expensive the work was, but the speed of service and end-result were excellent, and no mess. Hope the drain stays clear for a long time before I have to call for service again. From my experience today, I would recommend this company without hesitation. more

my plumber was ted from cleveland. he and i talked about the problem for a few minutes. Then got to work. When I asked if he \r felt any blockage after snaking. He was honest.\r ""he told me with the bath tub yes. With the toilet no. He said its the toilet. I said, I was thinking that was my problem. I said, i think its time for a new one. I really dont want to have to call you back in the fall for the same problem. He agreed. Went and got my mother and i a new one. We cant get over how fast it flushes. thanks. more

Thank you Roto-Rooter. It is not common in this day and age to have such good service and workmanship. What we thought was a simple drain cleaning turned out to be a complete sewer line replacement. All the staff at Roto-Rooter were very professional and informative. I watched Dustin and Steve work hard all day in the terrible heat and they finished the job in one day to my amazement. My kitchen sink was totally blocked. Couldn't do dishes, couldn't cook. Not a good time. Mike came in and once he was done, my sink never drained to good. Ever since I bought my house, the drain in my upstairs shower/tub has been getting slower and slower. We tried all the store-bought drain cleaners and even rented a snake, but with very little result. At first it was a minor annoyance, but when we got to the point where our showers were in ankle-deep water, we had to do something. Luckily, John (#3623) from the Willow Parkway Roto-Rooter in Cleveland, Ohio was there to help! Within an hour or so after he arrived, the drain was flowing better than it has since I moved in. All the while, he provided me knowledge about what he was doing and helpful hints about how to prevent this from happening in the future. Before he left, he made sure my tub was clean and in perfect working order. John was a fast, efficient, and very friendly plumber. Truly a professional! I had rain water coming up through my basement floor drains during heavy storms. I rented a drain snake & tried to fix the problem myself but was unsuccessful. I decided to call a reputable plumber in Cleveland: Roto-Rooter. \r Jonathan from Roto-Rooter worked after hours to get to the bottom of my problem. He jetted out my main drain line & then did a camera inspection to locate the problem. He was very helpful and informative. He showed me the source of the problem on the video monitor. Luckily, the problem was a broken city line which tied into the sewer drain. Jonathan gave me a DVD copy of the video & then called the city to inform them of the problem. \r I will definitely use Roto-Rooter again! more
