Roto-Rooter Plumbers 7/23/10 8/12/2010

We called Roto-Rooter on the night before we were supposed to go on vacation. One of the downstairs toilets was overflowing and it was also coming through the shower drain. At one point it was coming through the shower drain so fast it looked like someone was holding a hose underneath the drain upwards. I shut the water off and called. They were out within a couple hours and ended up getting the problem solved. I was very thankful but did want to make sure to note that you really need to not jump to conclusions right away. He asked where we get our sewer pumped and I showed him and right away before looking a bit further he said " Well there is your problem. Your sewer collapsed." I about had a heart attack right there as replacing a septic would have been 15-25 thousand dollars. He then after a few minutes said "oh wait here is the pipe" I told him he about gave me a heart attack and he should probably think before he speaks!! Promptly Got The Job Done! 8/11/2010

I woke up and found my basement floor drain had backed up. I called the Company, spoke to a very pleasant lady, scheduled an appointment and waited. To my astonishment I received a call, in about 45 minutes that a technician was on his way. The technician arrived shortly after the verification call from the Company.\r \r The technician, Tim (Number 630), advised me of the cost, prior to starting the job. Upon approval he went to work right away and after a short while had the problem resolved. The issue was a plugged pipe from the drain to the main sewer line. While he could have charged me for a major job, he was honest. He was also a nice guy to boot. I would recommend both Roto-Rooter and Tim to anyone who needs their services. more

I have had on-going issues with a drain in my house for the past year. Finally got tired of trying to fix it myself, so I called Roto-Rooter. Nate (tech #2484) came out, late on a Sunday night. Very good on the basics, BUT... 7/30/2010

The tech came out and cleared our drain and was extremely helpful. He suggested that we use their camera service because he saw some things that suggested we had a bigger problem.\r \r We were very glad that he did so because it turned out that we had multiple problems and the crew that came out did a great job of making sure that we fully understood the scale of our problems.\r \r They failed to earn a 5 star rating because the solutions they offered and the prices were simply outrageous. We told them we'd have to shop around and they turned on the hard sales pitch which caused us to completely lose interest in hiring them. But they WOULDN'T leave! They kept repeating the same points over and over and refused to accept the fact that they were continuing to alienate us.\r \r We shopped around and found, as expected, that their services were more than double the next highest bid.\r \r So I give them excellent marks for basic sewer service and the camera crew did great technical work but the more

Did a great job 7/23/2010

I called roto-rooter and within 2 hours they were at my house. I had water in my basement and the drain leading out of the house was blocked. He came in and immediately knew the problem and with minutes it was cleared. I could not have asked for better service. I would tell my friends to use roto-rooter because they will not be disappointed and will get outstanding service. Thank you for a great job. Roto-Rooter service 7/8/2010

I was very pleased at such a quick response to my request for service. The technician was out within two hours and identified my drainage problem right away. He was careful to keep the area clean while he worked and he took care of the roots and whatever else was in the main line. Roto-Rooter plumbers of Minneapolis came out to my house today for a yearly main line cleaning. The service was prompt (they arrived an hour after I called), the plumber was curtious and respectful of my home (kept it clean). Excellent Service 6/28/2010

I had to change my appointment from a Monday to a Saturday, on that Saturday. They were able to have the technition out when I requested. The job was thorough and everthing was taken care on in quick, clean, and professional manner. Technition @ 936. I was very pleased with the service I received. more

Roto-Rooter 6/27/2010

After having some toilet issues I decided to give roto-rooter a call to see what they could do. They told me they could have a tech come out within in next two hours and ten minutes later I get a call informing me that Jeff was on his way (this was on a sunday no less!) He arrived after about 20 minutes and got straight to work. Jeff was very polite and explored multiple options while troubleshooting my problem. After all was said and done, my toilet worked perfectly and my pockets weren't too much lighter. Great work, speedy arrival and not too costly! Pros: Fast, Speedy, Friendly Cons: none so far! more

We were inpressed at the time the tech took to explain the problem and how to prevent it in the future. Roto-Rooter Plumbers May 25 6/16/2010

RR came out to snake the main drain. After 2 hours, the tech told me he hit a blockage and that I would need a camera to determine the problem. The camera tech came out a few days later and showed me a root ball in the middle of my line and suggested I buy a $6,000 liner to prevent pipe breaks. The first step in installing the liner is removing the root ball, so I asked him to do that first. He refused saying his crew wouldn't come out just to remove the roots. I called another company to remove the roots and they found the pipe to be in good condition. RR was clearly looking to sell a higher-cost, unnecessary product than just finishing the job I hired them to do. They have lost my business for good. more

Roto -Rooter's Helpful & Quick Response 6/16/2010

We called with a main drain problem and the serviceman, Anthony, was promptly at our home the next morning. He spent quite a while cleaning the main drain and then spent time explaining to me what caused it to back up and how to avoid it happening again. EXCELLENT SERVICE 6/15/2010

ROTO-ROOTER PLUMBERS 6-14-2010\r \r ROTO-ROOTER was at my household today. He fixed a clogged kitchen drain. PLUMBER "Spencer" was on time, very friendly, neat in appearance, knowledgeable and very polite. He cleaned up after the mess, suggested a filter on a hose from the washer. PLUS, he also noticed the dehumidifer coils were very frosty & suggested to turn down the unit a bit. He could also smell gasoline coming from the garage. We moved the car, nothing was on the floor although there was a lot of old junk that had been sitting for decades. He suggested some of the "junk" cold be recycled and perhaps salavagable for some cash. It was a delight to have him here. We will recommend "ROTO-ROOTER" to out friends and family. Our mother is 90 years old and it was good to have someone who recognizes issues that we overlooked. P.S. It was proud to hear he was also in the U.S. service. Thank again, Jane Pollari more
