Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I called Roto-Rooter because I had a slow drain at 11:30AM and they had a technician here before 2PM. Joe not only figured out that I had a slow drain, but he fixed the flapper in my toilet which was contributing to higher water bills. Now that is what I call full service! I have had a slow drain in my downstairs bathtub for over 6 years. I have used lots of Drano and even rented a drain snake, but I was never able to get the drain to clear. I decided to try Roto-Rooter. The Seattle Plumber spent some time trying to resolve the slow drain. He was about to give up when finally he was successful. George – One of Roto-Rooter’s Most Dependable Employees “You’re not going to want to see this,” my wife said to me. At 11:00 AM a few days ago on October 20, 2011, while in the midst of a hectic day, everything went on hold when we surveyed a flood in our laundry room. After I cleaned up the mess, I discovered the cause was a backed-up sewage line. As I have done many times in the past, I called Roto-Rooter and asked if George was available. I was told that I could have the next plumber available and someone would come by within an hour. I said, no, I wanted George. When told that she didn’t have George’s schedule, I asked her to track him down. After being on hold for several minutes, I was relieved when she said George was indeed available and would be at my house within half an hour. When George arrived, I felt like I was seeing an old friend again. As I look back on my records with Roto-Rooter, I note George has cleaned out the roots and debris seven previous times at my house dating back to August 2001. As he came into the house and walked over to the clean-out that he knows ever so well, his first words were jokingly, “Still didn’t put that clean-out outside the house where I have suggested in previous years.” I told George that I could rent his equipment at a tool rental shop or even I could have purchased his electric snake several times over, but then I would miss seeing him. He smiled and went straight to work. Minutes later he found the problem and came to me with a fistful of tree roots. He suggested that, because there were a lot of roots throughout the line, it was time to think about replacing the old sewer line with another line that could be installed without digging up my lawn. At his suggestion, I put on my calendar a note to call after the winter for an in-line inspection with Roto-Rooter’s remote television camera to identify the bad joints and broken sections of pipe in my 70-year-old sewer line. Once the problems are identified, I will ask Roto-Rooter to install a new line in the damaged sections. Once again, I was very pleased with George’s work, and he left with a smile. Our only toilet, shower, and kitchen sink were all plugged. Florin (The roto-rooter guy) was over in a couple hours and had it fixed in about 30 minutes. Really nice guy and a pleasure to talk to. Definitely the guy to call if you need a plumber to fix something fast in the Seattle area, these are your guys. more

The main line backed up Saturday night, washing machine emptied into the showers, toilets too, water was everywhere - family was coming over for Easter brunch! Called the Roto-Rooter number for the Seattle area after 10:00 pm and they had someone out first thing Easter morning - the plumber asked a couple of great questions, quickly identified the reason for the blockage, cleared the lines and had it all wrapped up before family arrived!! I had a leaking pipe in my garage that was causing a huge mess. I called my local Roto- Rooter & they had a tech out here in 2 hrs. Actually i had 2 techs that came out, Jerry & Ceasar. They were very nice & explained all my options. They got rite to work & had it fixed in no time. Anytime i have a plumbing problem you can bet they are the only people i call. Our kitchen sink was plugged. We called our seattle area roto-rooter and they sent a plumber out promptly. They sent Giovanni. He was very courteous and efficient. He was also very diligent about keeping everything clean as he went. I would recommend Giovanni and roto-rooter. more

Last week, we put cream of broccoli soup down the garbage disposal ...and found it in the tub. Our pipes were backed up. We sank an entire bottle of Liquid Plumber but even by morning, nothing had moved. My dad said we'd probably had a root grow into our pipe from the street and told us to call Roto Rooter. At 8:30am the next morning we called. The Roto Rooter plumber dispatcher in Seattle said they would be here right away and were in our driveway half an hour later. (That's what you want on a weekday when you've got one dysfunctional shower and you've got to get to work!) My husband showed him the problem, and their service technician, Florin Regus, took a look at all fixtures and quickly determined what the problem was (not a root after all) and worked quickly to get the pipes flowing (somewhere under the house between the kitchen and the bathroom). One thing I especially appreciated is how careful he was about the mess; he put slippers on over his shoes and even worked over a tarp. Because Florin was so efficient, my husband was at work in time for his morning meeting and our pipes have been great since. (And with a 6 month guarantee on the work, we don't feel like we've got to tiptoe when we go near our kitchen sink!) My basement laundry room drain backed up and left a puddle on the floor. It was quite disgusting as I was told that there was food that came from the garbage disposal in the puddle also. I called and made an appointment for Monday morning between eight and ten for them to send someone out to hlep me. They called at 7:30 to ask if it would be too early for someone to be there at 8:15. That was super for me. Giovanni was here by 8:15 and ready to give me an estimate. I know things have gone up in price, but I was rather shocked to find out how much. Giovanni was very polite and sympathetic to my plight. I told him to please fix it and I would be glad to pay as It was needed. He worked for an hour and got the drain unplugged and also snaked a drain in the basement bath tub. He told me that there was a six month guarantee and also gave me some drain cleaner and told me how to use it. I am thankful to have the problem fixed and thankful that Giovanni was so nice and helpful. more

Before calling Roto-Rooter, I called other plumbing companies for a bid to clear our wash machine drain and they all required a service fee of $75.00 if we didn't accept there bid to do the job. I then called Roto-Rooter and asked if they had that same policy and they assured us we would not be held hostage if we decided not to have the work done. Had Roto-Rooter Plumber came to my home on 1/24/2011. Kitchen sink was not working, the gentleman that came was very polite and had the job done in less that a half an hour. Cleaned up and was out the door. I called about 1pm and was there to do the job in 20 minutes, wow. Jim more

Imagine this; it was the day after New Year got a house full of family members staying over from out of town when all of a sudden early in the morning someone shouts that the ground floor toilet is backing up. After unclogging it and figuring out we got the problem solved, it continues to backup when someone else would use the toilets from the other floors or when the washing machine would drain its water. At this point the problem was bigger than what we could handle and it was time to call a professional, Roto-rooter was the first company that came into mind. We had used them in the past and we were happy with their service. The dispatcher was very prompt in answering my call; she told me a technician was in our neighborhood finishing his work and can swing by within the hour. Giovanni arrived as promised, looked at the situation figured out what was wrong, told me the work it would require to fix it and the cost for the work. On my agreement he promptly started, and got the drains unclogged in a couple hours and left the work area and its surrounding clean. When he presented the bill no surprises at all and I was even able to use the discount coupon from the Roto-rooter website.
