After replacing the downspout on our shower, a leak developed that I wasn't able to fix myself. I was anxious about having to call a plumber for the first time as a homeowner, but the high quality service that Mike provided put my concerns at ease. He kept me well informed through the whole process, and was able to quickly identify he problem (it turned out a hole had developed in the copper piping). He was very knowledgable of the proper approach to the repair, and even went the extra mile in fixing a fit up issue we had with the new downspout I bought. On Sunday evening 8/7/11 Ineeded a plumber at my home in Tonawanda, NY (suburb of Buffalo) to unplug my sewer between the house and the main. I didn't hesitate to call Roto-Rooter since I used them before and received excellent service. The plumber called to let me know he was on his way and arrived as promised. He listened to my concerns, unplugged the sewer and ran a camera through the pipe to show me a potential problem area in a little over an hour. I'm very pleased with the service and would definitely will call them again. more

We called a plumber from buffalo, our kitchen drains were badly plugged, we called late Friday night and he came out that night. The service Man Scott Brown who fixed our problem did a great job, he cleaned up befr he left and you would have never known he was there (there was a lot of black tar looking stuff). They did not charge any extra fees for coming right away or for coming late at night. My husband and I would recommend to others. more

Servicemen were very professional and didn't waste any time getting to work on the problem. Drainage issues were discovered, handled and servicemen showed us where problem had occurred and how to avoid it in the future. Cleaned up after work was finished. more

We called roto-rooter the day our sewer backed up -(what a mess) in our stationery tubs in the basement. The two gentlemen came and were very pleasant and efficient. What a surprise I had early Sunday morning after dragging myself from bed and preparing to dress for church ... I went downstairs to grab something from the dryer and was met my a wet mess in the basement laundry room. After my husband "assessed" the situation, he announced that we'd better call those Roto-Rooter people. What great service! I was afraid to ask my husband what the charge was for a plumbing service on a Sunday. Price was much less than I anticipated. Service was quick - they were there for no more than 30 or 40 minutes, maybe less. They didn't leave a mess. The service guys were friendly and professional. It wasn't how I planned my Sunday morning, but it all worked out, water is gone, it didn't take call day, didn't leave us broke plus my basement/laundry area is cleared of a bunch of unwanted junk. I had a drain back up in the laundry room and the plumbers arrived right on time. I decided to get a whole house cleaning, which included all the drains and sewer lines; inside and out.The plumbers were very pleasent and courtious. They pointed out any additional problem areas and with my approval fixed them.They worked hard & efficiently and were done in 3-4 hours, I was very satisfied in the end and would recommend them and use them again if needed more

The main sewer line has been slow flowing for some time in our home in the Buffalo area (West Seneca). Actually, it has been a problem for a long time. The first time a Rotor-Rooter plumber visted our home was approximately over 20 years ago. I'm getting older and so is the plumbing in the home. periodically, I would snake out the line and flush it with a garden hose. But that would only last for several months before it needed to be done again. So, this time I placed a call to Roto-Rooter for help. Within 90 minutes a technician arrived. I explained to Albert my (and my wife's) concerns. I was certain that the basement floor would need to be ripped up and the line would have to be replaced at a cost of thousands of dollars. Albert assured me that probably would not be the case. The line was cleaned out under the basement floor as well as to the street. In addtion the plumber ran a camera throughout the system. I was given piece-of-mind after the viewing. Albert said that everything was OK. - What a relief. My experience with Roto-Rooter was very pleasant and assuring. Lets just say, dont believe everything you read. I desparately needed a new hot water tank installed and wanted someone who could do it right away. After calling around Roto-rooter in Buffalo said they could come right out and would give me an estimate at that time. After I booked appt I got on computer to search about Roto-Rooter and their cost and I found alot of negative postings so I started to panic after what I was reading so I called another place as a back up for another day just in case...But..when the Plumber arrived he was so friendly, he explained things, he understood our urgency and when he gave the estimate, I couldnt believe it, it was nothing like the postings stated. It was very reasonable, not even near what the postings were saying. So all I can say is they really do live up to what they say in their ad's. Customer service and the plumber were friendly, great and very helpful. Thank you Roto-Rooter for making a very stressful day not so stressful afterall. more
