Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service

I live in Nashville, TN, and my shower plumbing was leaking. Roto-Rooter sent a guy out the same day. He was very helpful and friendly and spent time teaching me about what he was doing. He even fixed a few minor things around the house for free. The final bill was a bit higher than I had expected though, with the part costing 50% more than at Home Depot and the labor $180 for a half hour worth of work. I guess plumbers are expensive though. more

We had an emergency early Sunday morning. There were a few plumbing services who advertised "24/7" responses, but the first two that I called didn't pick up the phone. In fact, one went straight to a voicemail. Not exactly a comforting thing for us, when we needed help quickly (water was dripping from the ceiling onto our kitchen floor). I then called Roto Rooter, who picked up the phone immediately, listened attentively, and dispatched a plumber to our house within an acceptable timeframe. Roger arrived at our house, appraised the situation and solved it rather quickly. He then gave us our options, both of which were not as expensive as we thought they would be, and took action. The problem was actually one we've had before; a blockage outside. Roger stayed at our house cleaning it out for twice the amount of time the plumber from the other plumbing service did, which I think shows pretty well how thorough he was. We could tell he certainly wasn't rushing, even though the job was a fixed price job (i.e., not paid by the hour). He answered every question we had, and we thought the price was fair. more

Called Roto-Rooter on Sunday, 1/9/2011 with a backed up sewer line that was plugged somewhere along a 130 foot stretch between our home and the city's trunk line. "Mario" arrived promptly at the house toward the early end of his estimated arrival window. He provided a reasonable estimate for removing the clog. His initial snaking along the first 100 feet didn't reveal a problem, so he joined my brother and me in digging out an access area by hand near the far end of the line. This shovel work took us quite a bit of time. We located the line about 3 feet below the surface. He cut into it, cleaned it out, and proceeded to inspect the pipe with a video camera, revealing what might be structural problem with the city's line capable of causing problems again in the future. My brother and I purchased repair materials at our local Home Depot and put our sewer line back in business the same evening. What impressed us about Mario was that he didn't charge above his initial estimate for the extra effort it took to solve our problem, and his camera work equipped us to address the problem with our city's sewer department the next day. We had a coupon but didn't even try to use it because we felt he treated us so fairly. more

Twas the night before Christmas Eve, and my wife was knee deep in food preparation for the annual family feast. Suddenly , she let out a yell,informing me that our two sided sink/garbage disposal was backed up and would not drain. I had a major blockage in my washing machine line and water was coming up through my kitchen sink.After one attempt from the first plumber, I called Roto-rooter and they were out within the hour. They didn't leave till the job was done and then I got a 6 month guarantee as well as a preventative drain cleaner that should last a year or so. Our technician, Bill, was very professional. He arrived promptly. He worked efficiently to get the job done. We called to repair our kitchen disposal but it required replacement as it was severely rusted. He showed me the damages and that it was more cost effective in the longterm to replace it rather than just unglogging it. more

We live in Nashville, TN; our toilet clogged in our master bathroom and of course we tried to fix it ourselves. Needless to say we got the toilet to drain but it wouldn't flush right. So, I went online and booked an appointment with Roto-Rooter. I had a confirmation for that day within a few hours.The technician that came out was super friendly and helpful. We had a serious plumbing incident on Sunday night (November 7, 2010) and called Roto-Rooter in Nashville, TN. They gave us an approximate time that they would be there and showed up at that time. After assessing our problem, they told us what would be done and the price. The next day they showed up at the specified time, fixed our plumbing problems and cleaned up their mess. They were very thorough, courtesous and very explanatory of all they did. They showed us on the receipt where the warranty was and told us that if there were any problems, they would be back out pronto. After finally getting my kitchen cabinets and counter tops installed following our recent flood in May, I called Roto-Rooter to attach the sink, install the plumbing and the faucet. Roger arrived in a timely manner, retrieved all the necessary parts and tools from the van and started work. He made sure the sink was secure and double checked to make sure there were no leaks in any of the pipes or the faucet. RotoRooter was very helpful all the way through the initial call to the repair. Our kitchen sink had been flooding down into the basement and into the dining room. I knew something was wrong but I couldn't see anything. Our plumbers name was Matt and he came out and noticed that it had been going on for a while, fixed everything, warned us that we had significant water damage and referred us to a mold removal company. He was super personable. They kept in contact with me the entire time prior to the arrival as well. I will definitely call them for future needs :) more

Our shower valve broke off spraying water with no way to turn it off without turning off water to the whole house. Unforuntately had visiting company and needed it fixed ASAP. Called Roto Rooter at 6:30 Sunday evening and they had someone out to fix the problem by 8:30 that evening. They called me back several times to give me the status of when the technician would arrive. I really appreciated that extra effort.
