i recommend roto rooter. they came to my house yesterday within an hour of my calling. they found my leak and replaced the pipe and fixed a couple of other minor problems. He was very helpful and efficient. Roto rooter is the one to call. more

Wish I had listened to the Yelp but the lack of reviews there and all the positive reviews here made me think otherwise. Now I know better. NEVER EVER USE Roto-Rooter. They're a corporate company that charges outrageous prices. $215 to replace a showerhead? Another $215 to fix a leaky faucet? And this is not including the fees they pile on at the end. Being ripped off aside, I was pretty much sexually harassed on top of it all. Plumber gave me a ridiculous quote for the services I requested (fixing a faucet and replacing a showerhead) so I declined replacing the showerhead. He then proceeded to offer me a discount on the showerhead replacement because I was a ""pretty Asian girl"" and that he was into Asian girls. Said if I was a guy, he wouldn't offer me the discount but since I'm girl, he worried I would not be able to fix it on my own--basically implying my inherent incompetence to be able to fix things because I was a woman. He then refused the $40 coupon I got from the website because he said it was company policy to only give one discount and he was already giving me a discount on the showerhead replacement (Note: getting a discount on an outrageously priced service in the first place = still getting ripped off). Kept bringing up that I was a nice Asian girl and that he wanted to marry someone like me. Asked for dating advice about Asian girls while drafting up a huge bill and then sold me some expensive drain solution that I did not want. Felt sexually harassed after the whole experience as well as ripped off by Roto Rooter. Will never use this company again and I encourage people who don't want to be ripped off to do the same. more

We had a serious plumbing issue - with a house full of guests and the roto-rooter service person was there within the timeframe mentioned and was very quick at solving our problem. Would recommend roto-rooter 15514 Cohancy Street, Jamaica, NY 11414 to anyone looking for a plumber. more

On May 30,2011 I appreciated that Roto-Rooter came as quckly as they did The man ( dont rremember his name) that came was very nice very polite and seemed to know what he was doing as he repaired my clogged kitchen line in a short time I was very satisfied with is work but felt the amount charged was a bit high more

I scheduled service on line. Within no time I had a reply. I received a time window and exactly at the beginning of the window they were at my door. I have never received such good service. The gentleman worked constantly, no rest, no break. He gave excellent advise and what I admired most: when he left, everything was clean!! Totally unbelievable. I am very happy with the service and result of the work. Will for sure recommend Pat 368 to whomever is in need of plumbing service. more

Roto-Rooter came within the hour on a Saturday evening. Plumber Steve was very professional. Spent a long time working on the clog. I made arrangements for him to return later in the week for preventative work on all the other drains in the home. Great Job. Great Service. more

I called Roto-Rooter on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 11:30A.M. They said that someone would be there within the hour. They were right on time! The technician, Tim was friendly and helpful. I had a clog in my upstairs toilet. He unclogged it quickly. I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone. Thank You Karen Lessing more

The plumber from Queens NY came on time and immediately assessed my problem. They camera snaked my toilet and then pumped out the cesspool after finding it right away. They are awesome!!! more

The plumber that was dispatched from Queens NY had 38 yrs experience. He was able to find my cesspool cover (saving me $400 for not needing a camera), pumped out the pool and now the downstairs toilet is working perfectly after other companies made me waste my money with chemicals and jet rodding. I will definately recommend to ALL my neighbors more

On the evening of Feb 5th we had a serious plumbing issue at our home in Greenport N.Y. all our drains where backing up and the toliets would not flush I realized that we had a serious problumn so I decided to call Roto-Rooter the plumber expert from Queens n y they where at our house within an hour and did there job in a very professional way the two men where very polite and they really got the job done in a very short time and they will be back with a camera to run down the line to prevent future mishaps.Great job Thank you Roto-rooter and John and Mike more

On Sunday I woke up to find a leak in my basement. I tried to fix it myself, after many trips to the hardware store over the next 3 days it was still leaking. I woke up to no running water in my house. They froze overnight. I called about six places right away that were all booked up. I called Roto-Rooter and the receptionist booked my appointment right away, which relieved a lot of stress. The plumber, Tim (#3745), from Jamaica, NY arrived and was very professional. He had a task ahead of him as I have a small crawl space which itself was iced over. He didn't complain and did an excellent job. He somehow fit himself in the crawl space after digging away at all of the ice. In about an hour, my pipes were thawed out and I had running water again! more

Josh #348 was great- came in thinking he was just doing a repair & ended up also installing our new kitchen faucet! Very friendly, polite; even wiped up the muddy snow tracks he brought in with him ;) Now THAT's great service! He made suggestions as far as what he thought we may need done down the road; things we may not have realized until too late. Kudos to the guy who isn't coming into my house in a nasty mood because it's a late Saturday afternoon in the middle of winter to hang out under a kitchen cabinet.
