Great helped us out of a real jam. We were installing a brand new scottsman ice maker and in connecting the water line my watch got caught on a refrigeration line and kinked the line. I then tried to straighten the line. BIG mistake. I heard the freon spray out. Loaded the machine in my truck and ran over to see Rod. He was able to repair the lines and recharge the Freon in an hour. Great service!!!\r more

Horrible service!!!!! They came to my home to fix my air conditioner on July 17, told me I would be fixed and back to me by July 27th...it's now September 10th and I still don't have it!!! I've called every week for the past month and keep getting told its the fault of lg and a part. Spoke to lg who called them and was told I would have it back last week. Just calls again and was told they would drop it off nxt Monday and whn I said I'll gt it, they now have to call me back after they make sure it's actually fixed. This place is completely unprofessional. I would NEVER use them again!!!!! more

I work for a living - they missed a total of 3 appointments that we set over the phone. There wasn't miscommunication - just consistent and repeated negligence on their part.\r \r 2. I work for a living - they did not drop the tv off when they TOLD me to be home and to be ready to receive it - of all missed appointments, this one hurt the most. First world problem, but i really missed my tv.\r \r 3. If i had time to sue for lost wages, I would. \r \r Do yourself a favor and use someone else. If yo're getting warranty work done - find another service provider. In person, the people were nice, but they're really missing the ball on the customer service aspect of their business. Never have I ever been more disappointed by services received. \r \r Don't make the same mistake i did.\r \r To their credit - my television works great. Too bad it took 8 weeks. more

My LG Dishwasher stopped working about 2 months ago. First i shopped around for a replacement but couldnt see replacing a unit that was less than 5 years old. So i called LG customer service who scheduled service with Rod's TV & Appliance. The next day a very knowledgeable tech named Andrew came to my house and diagnosed my problem as a clogged drain hose. He removed the unit from the wall and inspected the interior of the machine. He informed me of a warranty extention LG had on my machine that covered the sump assembly and that LG would be paying for the parts and labor for my machine. I was estatic. To think i was going to replace this unit when i was about to get it fixed for free!! Interestingly enough even LG customer service didnn't inform me of the warranty extention. Great guys great service. more

The most humiliating experience ever!!!! 4/2/2012

I purchased a LG Front Loader washing machine from Home Depot. Of course, after the warranty expired, it broke. I called Rod's TV and they came out, told me what was wrong and charged my credit card. Since then, I have waited nearly 5 months for them to come back out to actually do the repair!! They have rarely returned my calls, had me sitting around waiting for their guys to come out and then they never showed, and were plain and simply rude as can be on the phone. If you can get ANYONE else to come to your home and fix your appliance, I recommend you do so. With the economy where it is and small business hurting, it is good to see that Rods is so busy they can treat their customers this way. I am also self employed. If I ran my business this way, I would be out of business!! I gave them 1 star as this site won't let me give it 0! more

About a week and a half ago I dropped my Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 Ultra's in for service...widely regarded as the best computer speakers ever made even as I write this review even though production stopped shortly after 2003. Within the week and a half they were able to fix them and did an amazing job, I even asked expert-level questions that were professionally answered by the tech who did the work. Their store was loaded with countless repairs both times I went in (once to drop off, once to pick up) showing how well-known and trusted they are. I would not hesitate to return to them for any other electronic-related repairs I would have. Thank you on a job well done! more

You have a Jade refrigerator that is manufactured by whirlpool. Your original complaint was the unit was not dispensing water or ice. Service was originally scheduled for 6/27/2011.The technician that went to your house ordered the main PCB and water solenoid valve. Main PCB p#67006854 was ordered from the whirlpool national distributor on 6/28/11.It was not a stocked item and was special ordered through the distributor and was going to be drop shipped from Whirlpool. After the ETA had been pushed back for the third time we made the decision to repair the main PCB and replace the water solenoid while we waited for the main PCB to come off backorder. The ETAs that you were give were the dates that we were given from the parts distributor. Backordered parts often have ETAs that change. All the order information was given to the claims department, customer service and the NY liaison, of your service contract company. They were all informed of the status of the part. We cannot control part backorders. The main PCB could not be repaired in home the only other option available would have been to repair the main PCB to component level at our shop. This would have meant pulling the main PCB out of a fridge that worked except for the dispenser and rebuilding it. Not a realistic option because it would have left you with no fridge for a week. We diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and tried to repair the unit using what we had available. What more could we have done?\r more

RUN AWAY!! Rude and Unprofessional 10/19/2011

This is the most unhelpful, unprofessional group of people I have ever had to deal with. I had to have my refrigerator fixed. Under my warranty they came to my home. The first guy that came in to diagnose the problem explained that a computer panel would need to be replaced. They were going to order the part and it should be in within the next 1-2 weeks. Three weeks later I had to call the company to find out what was going on. They explained that the part was back ordered but they will have it in within the next 3 weeks. I waited until a week past when it was supposed to be in and called again to find out what was going on. This time I was told that they just located the part and it will be in within the next week. Again no phone calls were made and still no part. Finally 3 1/2 months later the part comes in and the guys come to fix the fridge. Which by the way I was only called the morning of to be informed what time they might be coming at. The guys came and spent two hours installing a water valve, which to everyone's surprise didn't fix the problem. Why the computer panel was not order could not be explained to me. So again I wait for the part. I was told multiple times the part would be in, and those times have come and gone. Now another 3 weeks later, I am told they do not know where the part is or when it is going to be in. When speaking with this company they are rude and unprofessional. They only got 1 star because you have to give something. Your crazy if you even consider using this company! more

Call them first for your LG!! 10/3/2011

In june our LG front load washing machine stoped working. It would not spin and flashed the LE error. We purchased the machine from pc richards so we called them for service. Two months, four service calls and a new stator, main board, wiring harness later pc richards gave up and told me to buy a new machine. I called LG who gave me the number to Rods. They came and replaced the stator and rotor and had my washer fixed the same day!!\r more

My miele dishwasher stopped working so i called Miele customer service who said they would contact Rods and i would get a call from them within 24 hours. They called as soon as i was off the phone with Miele. They had the parts in stock and were there that same afternoon. Can't get any better than that. more

Terrible Experience---Please read! 8/9/2011

Avoid this repair show at all costs! Had to have our refrigerator repaired. The warranty company sent Rod's Repair Service to our home. The repairman was very professional and said the fridge probably needed to be replaced. The problem is Rods never sent in the estimate to the warranty company. We have 2 young children and NEEDED our fridge repaired. We called REPEATEDLY to have Rods send in the estimate. Time and time again they said they would or made an excuse. The warranty company informed us all Rod's had to do was call in the estimate. It would take 5 minutes. We called again and again and was told the estimate would be sent....it never was. We had to escalate and file a complaint against Rod's and now have to start over. For your own sake, please avoid Rod's Repair Service. They do not care about the customer or family members who also might be impacted by their lack of service. Feel free to contact me if you would like further details. -Tim more
