I went to Rocco's last week for the first time and I fell in love! The bartenders and wait staff are great and made me and my friend feel very welcome! The pizza's are great and I love the house salad with shrimp!! The drinks are strong and I have to say I will be back very soon!! Pros: Great drink and Bartenders!! I would recommend Rocco's to anyone who wants some AMAZING food in a wonderful setting! My husband and I went for Valentine's last year and could not have asked for more. They had flowers and candles on the tables to make it a more intimate atmosphere. Beware: Once you have experienced this food, you will want to go back again and again. I love love love the chicken marsala...it is my favorite - and salads are great also. Every time we have been in, the service has been perfect...I love the quirky atmosphere and how the family who owns it is so involved in greeting customers...very welcoming. Rocco's Grill is outstanding! The peppersteak is out of this world. My husband loves the tomato basil soup and I can't get enough of the spicy pecan salad. It is absolutely delicious!! Great wine list!! Definitely one of my favorites!! more

What an awesome local find tucked back in the heart of Lakeway! It is the prefect place for cocktails after work, a romantic dinner for two or a fun laugh filled evening at the bar. i can honestly say Rocco's bartenders make the strongest and BIGGEST martini pours in the city of Austin!! Try the Marg Piazza or the Shrimp Alisondra... a scampi style shrimp that is served with toasted garlic bread... it is FANTASTIC!! \r \r And you gotta love a local business where you can find the owner on site mingling and talking to customers. Rocco's Grill is a great little Lakeway find tucked away in a shopping center off of 620. The walls are painted with these beautiful murals and the atmosphere is inviting and unpretentious \r \r I was impressed with the great patio that overlooks a creek or river (not sure of the water source) and a golf course. It looks like this area can be set up for private parties as well which would be nice.\r \r Overall, a fantastic place to eat, I recommend the Spicy Pecan Salad, the Filet Minon, and the Rack of Lamb. I went to Roccos for a rehearsal dinner last year and was impressed with the food and the view we had from the private area they had set up for us. The wait staff was very attentive and the meal was delicious. It was a perfect setting and atmosphere for a private, intimate dinner. Definitely check this place out! more

We have been going here for many, many years, food is good and service usually decent. Last night another couple and my wife had the worst experrience and we will NEVER be back. Waitress would not come by as drinks sat empty for 15 minutes we could not get her atentiion she was way too busy with other tables, when she finally did come by the drinks sat at the bar and melted for 15 mintues as she passed them by 3-4 times, we were only a few feet away, so I asked the bar tender to have someone else deliver them to us. When I finally got the manager over she listened and vowed to make it right. Who would of thought the manager herself would bring only 1/2 of our meal...then asked are you four sharing? She had no clue that our our wives order were not even placed by the waitress. Their food finally came 15 minutes after that...but of course we were almost done eating at that point. Again the manager came by said she was sorry, it was just a busy nightt and not her fault! Said she would take care of us. The bill arrived from out waitress who just dropped it on the table in passing and went on her way without a word. I decided to hand it to the manager as I felt she needed to know, so when I gave it to her she rolled her eyes as if it was a bother and a few mintues later she returned, dropped the bill on the table and said she too was having a bad night and I am tired"". With that I pointed out it was not my issue.....She then decided she would like to debate this with me....she didn't even act to care that our night was a disaster Not only were we disgusted by her actions and professionalism as a manager. We were extremely disappionted as we have been here over 100 times.....Avoid this place......unless you enjoy DIS - SERIVCE and DIS-RESEPCT. The old days of delighting your customer are gone. I was in the area around lunch time and stopped in for a quick bite. I had never been here before and was very surprised by the large size of this restaurant. It opens up to a large covered deck which overlooks the pond and golf course. \r \r My spicy pecan and pear salad with gorgonzola cheese along with the warm bread a dipping oil was delicious and the perfect light lunch for me. The bill was perfect as well!\r \r I will definitely be back here with my husband and perhaps other friends too. This is a great place to know about! more

I just moved to Lakeway and had heard great things about this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. The decor is a little strange on the inside but the patio was beautiful and the heaters made it very pleasant even though it was quite cold outside. The bar area was crowded and loud but I couldn't hear them on the patio. The clientele was about what you expect in Lakeway. A lot of older married couples and ""high-roller"" types in suits. The menu had about anything you would want at an Italian restaurant and had many different price points. The wine list was very impressive. The salmon my husband had was great. I had the house salad with chicken and it may be the best salad I've ever had! I loved the crab cake appetizer and, being from Baltimore, that is quite a statement! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant. I will definitely be back and may bring my parents when they come to town. Pros: Great food and service! We attended a wedding reception the other night held on the patio at Rocco's. With the change in time it was soon dark outside and the atmosphere was superb with small candles, low lights and a beautiful view overlooking a large pond on a local golf course. Several of us remained and enjoyed a very nice bottle of wine and casual conversation. We'll return soon to sample the menu items (the buffet items were delicious). This is truly the ""Cheers"" of Lakeway. Most of the clientele are locals and it shows in the greetings from the owners, from the servers and from the cooks. The food is always consistently good and the service rarely falters. The view from the veranda is like looking at the Italian countryside. They have an extensive wine list and the prices are very fair. The bar crowd is lively and can get a little loud, especially on Fri. nights. But it's all in fun and obvious that everyone knows everyone else. Without a doubt, the best deal in town at the bar, the drinks are amazing! In Austin due to the Houston-area evacuation. Had the pleasure of dining at Rocco's Italian Grill last night--Despite the obvious tension caused by Hurricane IKE, my family and I felt welcomed by the owner and his wife. Such a great find-- Colorful and full of inviting energy-- very versatile as far as dress is concerned. We were very much casual while others were dressed up for a night on the town-- but we didn't feel out of place at all. Well- informed server, Amanda, who made an outstanding recommendation regarding wine selection. Very reasonable wine list, better pricing than most other restaurants, yet with unique selection and featured reserve list. This place can compete and beat any Houston restaurant. Will be back. My family all had a very pleasant meal at Rocco's Grill this past week. This is not fancy food, but solid, well prepared, very flavorful and generous in the portions. The atmosphere is both casual and relaxing but anything other than plain. The Barramundi Special (an Australian fish I think) was tender and was perfectly paired with the crab salsa topping. Granted even though everything seems to get more expensive by the day lately; I found the steaks very reasonably priced and - judging by the neighboring table - pretty popular. I have heard that it is difficult to get in for dinner at Rocco's at Lake Travis-- that a reservation is necessary. Friday night, my wife and I took another couple out to Rocco's for dinner...and we FORGOT to make a reservation ahead of time. My wife had the great idea to call while we were driving out there to see what the wait was like...the hostess asked if we had a reservation, but we did not. She then asked if we would like to be placed on the waiting list since we were on our way. The wait time was estimated to be 30-40 minutes. By the time we drove out there from downtown, we grabbed a drink at the bar, and our table was ready--on the deck overlooking the golf course- Magnificent! Food and service were exceptional. And that ""Miles"" Chocolate dessert is out-of-this-world! Will be back soon. Pros: can call and put you name on the wait list en route to restaurant; MILES CHOCOLATE!!! more

This place surprised the heck out of me. Had a business meeting at the Lakeway Inn--- Rocco's restaurant was highly recommended to me...and I can see why. The happy hour was hopping...great people watching, good bar scene...classy and tasteful with a nice mix of young professionals and retirees. Had a great time. The food was excellent, I tell you what, I have not had a better filet anywhere in Austin. Service was above average but not the best in town...but the view made up for that. Highly Recommended.
