In Austin due to the Houston-area evacuation. Had the pleasure of dining at Rocco's Italian Grill last night--Despite the obvious tension caused by Hurricane IKE, my family and I felt welcomed by the owner and his wife. Such a great find-- Colorful and full of inviting energy-- very versatile as far as dress is concerned. We were very much casual while others were dressed up for a night on the town-- but we didn't feel out of place at all. Well- informed server, Amanda, who made an outstanding recommendation regarding wine selection. Very reasonable wine list, better pricing than most other restaurants, yet with unique selection and featured reserve list. This place can compete and beat any Houston restaurant. Will be back. Thank you for a making us feel at home. - Joel Crowl
Pros: Reserve Wine List, Genuine hospitality by owners and staff.
Cons: Recommend calling ahead; usually a wait- but worth it.
