I have heard that it is difficult to get in for dinner at Rocco's at Lake Travis-- that a reservation is necessary. Friday night, my wife and I took another couple out to Rocco's for dinner...and we FORGOT to make a reservation ahead of time. My wife had the great idea to call while we were driving out there to see what the wait was like...the hostess asked if we had a reservation, but we did not. She then asked if we would like to be placed on the waiting list since we were on our way. The wait time was estimated to be 30-40 minutes. By the time we drove out there from downtown, we grabbed a drink at the bar, and our table was ready--on the deck overlooking the golf course- Magnificent! Food and service were exceptional. And that ""Miles"" Chocolate dessert is out-of-this-world! Will be back soon.
Pros: can call and put you name on the wait list en route to restaurant; MILES CHOCOLATE!!!
