Rent King

This is the worst place to do business with. I had a miserable experience with them. I have rented a house for a year and I was the best renter anybody could ask. Single boring person, no pet no smoking. I was out for business trip most of the year and the place was unoccupied. I kept it obsessively clean. At the end, they kept a big chunk of my deposit for an itemized lies. They are legitimize(in their mind) thieves. I will never ever suggest them to anybody. Stay away from an unfortunate condition. more

I urge you not to rent from Rent King. They are very unprofessional and rude. Our family has rented from Rent King for over a year. We have nothing but problems from them. They never return your phone calls, you have to walk in and make sure they are typing your request in the computer or else it will not get done. Every problem that we have had with our rental unit they tell you ""I don't think you understand how hard it is to be a rental company."" It is so manipulative! They will not work in your favor or try to help you understand why they will not do something. We have talked to them over and over again about same issues but they assure us that things are going to change. NOTHING has changed! We own a house and rent it out, we take really good care of our renters so that they are comfortable and have a reason to take care of our house. I do not understand what Rent Kings issue is!!!!!! Please save yourself the headache and the heartache from Renting with them. \r \r more

Rent King is an unprofessional company. We had rented from them for 1 year and could not wait to get out of our lease. If there is any issue with your rental house it will take months to get it fixed, if it gets fixed at all. The worse part is that they do not communicate with you about there decisions. We had left many messages and talked with them personally about important problems with the house. One issue it took the entire year to get it fixed. It is so frustrating working with them. Everyone is nice but nothing gets done! I would recommend finding someone else to work with. more

I called RentKing about a house and had a really hard time trying to get an agent to show me a house. They said they couldn't show the house because they had to give the tenant 24 hours notice. When We finally got on the same page to where they could show the house we were to meet there at 8:30 am. I sat there for 30 minutes and no one showed up. When I called they informed me that there was a miscommunication and that someone should have called me. They said the house was already rented after someone looked at it the day before. The day they told me they couldn't because the tenant had to be given notice. I was late for work all because of this! I called the broker and left a message and no one ever called me back to discuss this problem. I called several more times and never got a call back. After reviewing the other comments on this page I am glad that I did not rent the house. I will recommend to all my friends and Facebook friends of this a company not to rent from! They seem to not care about anyone and are very unprofessional! more

RentKing has been an accredited Business with the Better Business Bureau since 2008. We would not be able to keep this certification with out taking good care of your customers. I do admit that I have ran this business strickly as a contract based business and have upset some customers by working that way. But we are required to follow what contract we have signed with our customers. more

I was renting a house in Norman from Rent King for 3 years. I paid $1150.00 for the Security deposit, plus an extra $25 a month for three years for a pet deposit. The house that I rented was not a new house, I lived in it for three years with my husband, our two daughters and a cat. After 3 years, we started recieving mail addressed to the owner of the house from a morgage company. We passed these letters on to Rent King. My husband and I were later served papers saying that the house was being foreclosed on. Long story short, we let Rent King know that all of this was happening and they helped us find another rental property. Cons: They are crooks more

I rented from them for almost three years and hated every year. I only stayed because the rent was cheap and my roommates and I couldn't afford anything else. Over and over we requested repairs and they said they would do it, then never did. One time, they came out to fix a screen door, but they only fixed one part and never fixed the rest (I had to request three times just to get them out). There were a lot of problems we reported and like the contract said, they would repair them in order to get the house safe and running. Well, they never did. I rented from them for a year and always kept my house looking perfect. When it came down to the last week I had my mother and grandmother help me clean. I left it exactly like it was when I moved in. They kept 2/3 of the deposit and then are still to this day are saying I owe them $100. They are rude and a terrible place to rent from. I wouldn't reccomend them to my worst enemy! Pros: NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING more
