I purchased a Rainbow vacuum over 18 years ago and I still do the happy dance each time I use it. I LOVE it and the motor still keeps on working. When the time comes to purchase a new one, I will get another Rainbow for sure. \r \r HOWEVER, the place where I purchase that vacuum will not be at Rainbow/Bry Enterprises. The hose for one of my attachments has become worn and needs to be replaced. We called this company and left a message about needing a replacement and two weeks later still have had no response. I have been going crazy without that hose and decided to see what I could find online. I went to Amazon and found one there that was only $15 more than what was advertised at the Meridian store but with free shipping. I bought it and will be doing the happy dance again next week!! \r \r I feel bad for Rainbow/Bry Enterprises who lost a small amount of money now and a large amount of money in the future when I need another vacuum. They should answer the phone or at least return messages. more

BigeBear, you are sadly mistaken! I have owned a Rainbow for over 35 years purchasing my first one when I was 23. It never wore out but I wanted a new one so gave gave it to a family member who desired one for many years! She was thrilled to get it! I never had ANY trouble with it in 25 years!!! It was serviced every 5 years whether it needed it or not! My second unit is an E Series and the experience in the past 10 years has been equaled to that of the first unit! Perhaps your salesperson was not well-informed on all the features and benefits. That it sad because you are the one who was cheated from a high-quality and valuable piece of equipment. If one were to 'cost-average' what people spend on replacing a cheap vacuum every few years he/she would realize that a one-time investment of quality outweighs the up front expense many times over!!! Not to mention the quality of performance and health benefits of cleaner air to breath. I have never needed to replace any of my carpets since owning a Rainbow; it is dirt that wears out carpets! Most people don't even calculate that expense in savings!!! more

What a great air cleaning machine!!!! 7/7/2009

The representative was very well informed and able to help us understand the wonderful benefits of cleaning with a Rainbow air cleaning system. It cleans virtually everything in your home and uses water as its main filter. Truly amazing. great warranty and quality. can't wait to use mine. Every home in the world should have a Rainbow in it. Pros: Fun and Very Educational Cons: Showed me my new cleaner doesn't and never will work, yikes! more
