R J Veitch Appliance Repair

Well Bob has been here two times to service my old Subzero. He put in a new compressor (it is 30 years old) Now, two years later, it is not working again. I will give it another shot. That is the trouble with built ins. If too much this time a new fridge. I think Bob did his best and no complaints. I think he knows his stuff. more

I have never in my life dealt with a company that knew nothing about the product they service. After seven times to fix a sub zero fridge i have given upThe last time they were here the owner stuffed all the wires in my frezzer on top of the heater\r They are the biggest dumbest jerks ever\r Do your self a favor\r Don't call them more

Never even scheduled an appointment. The person who answered the phone was rude and decidedly not customer friendly. I can only imagine how much business has been lost by this person. When I asked for the email address, I was told that they don't have an email. I went to the internet and guess what I found - an email address! I wonder if the owner ever looks at the reviews that his business has received? more

I had been having constant problems w/my new dishwasher. Veitch is the manufacturer's service rep. They were at my home 4 times but never submitted the repairs to the manufacturer therefore, the manufacturer would not replace my dishwasher. When I asked why they never submitted the forms, the owner said, "I didn't get around to it". I did give a 2 star because the service tech seemed capable but when you have a lemon, no one can fix it. You need a new one. more

I wish I had read the other reviews first before calling Veitch Appliances. I explained my appliance problem over the phone - told them I thought it was the motor, gave make and model number and asked them to bring parts when the (eventually) arrived 9 days later. Technitian came looked at dishwasher for 5 min - ran cycle for 1 min and said, yes, it is the motor. No spare parts - did not even replace broken filter. Left after max 10 min. visit, leaving $100 "repair" bill. When I called to complain the service rep was extremely rude. Never Again. Call someone else if you want good service. more

The minimum stars allowed on this review is one. I believe that is too many for this company.\r I have reluctantly used them in the the past, only to have the same problems as the other 1 star raters had.\r This time takes the cake !! I called in advanced, and asked for a price to remove and install a doble door refrigerator. I told the long time employee who gave me the answers I requested, that I was considering buying a $ 10,000.00 refrigerator from Sears warehouse and needed a price to remove the old, and install the new. I was given a price from Gloria and I agreed and proceeded to purchase the unit. Once it was delivered, I called as (as instructed by Gloria) to set an appointment, and with that call, I received a return call from the owner telling me "THEY DO NOT INSTALL THE UNITS", maybe he should tell his employees that !!!! You Think ???\r Be Cautious !!!! more

I have been using these guys for years and they are great! They come when they say and do great work. If every business worked this well we could all save a lot of headaches! more

Came to our house for 10 minutes to tell us our washer was completely broken and charged us $90.00 for that information. I think that is ridiculous to charge us almost $100.00 for ten minutes of their time! more

I had a technician come out and take a look at my washer. In ten minutes they made a diagnosis, and in 2 weeks came by and replaced a part. The tech claimed he ran a load of laundry as a test. This was incorrect as the laundry still had a sour smell. I then started a load of laundry and the washer is acting the same as it was 2 weeks ago. Therefore we had to wait 2 weeks to pay over two hundred dollars for a lie and incorrect diagnosis. So far they're not answering their phones either. more

I had a local appliance company repair my expensive European style oven (the place where it was also purchased 15 years ago), and after many frustrating repairs that were supposed to have fixed it and never did, I gave up. Since I have 2 ovens I could get by with the one that worked. I saw that PJ Veitch repaired this brand of appliance, so I set up an appointment--a final try. They were prompt, courteous, and instantly found the problem and ordered the part needed. And, the best part is that my oven actually works. I can't recommend them more highly. more

My 86 year old mother and I had a horrible experience dealing with an employee at this business while the owners were gone. To make matters worse, Bob was just as rude as his employee when we tried to rectify the situation. These are NOT people who care about customer service, on any level. I would never recommend them to anyone. more

They have worked on my washers and dryers and have never failed to fix or give the right advice. Their machanics are very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend them. \r \r Sandy M more

Bob Veitch is a class act. He has been in business for years and years. You probably cannot name a person in the area that hasn't had Bob service it at one time or another. Located off of Middlesex Turnpike, close to the Essex Town Line. Easy to find, great staff working for him, and always service with a smile. more
