Park Avenue Properties\r Loved it\r I am in my first month in a rental under Park Avenue Properties management services. I have a large extended family and the rental house we had had for many years developed issues that made a move necessary for heath reasons. After many weeks I was ready to give up on finding a property that met our needs. I needed my children (one is autistic) to be in the same schools. I needed space on all one floor as my mother is blind and her mobility is limited. We run a business and trucks may be in late at night and leave very early in the morning....so we needed privacy as not to disturb close neighbors. We have pets, we are loud, we love Mt Pleasant lol..... When I finally found a property that looked like it fit, I was ecstatic and crushed when I learned it was a new and unready, mostly uninspected property. I implored with them via email and Brenda was awesome, bending to our very tight schedule and taking the time to meet us on the weekend. She let us take our time and was absolutely ~awesome~ to us. Tara Moore was our contact person and from the initial app, and through all my overbearing and pushing (lol) she has been amazing. Several maintenance issues came up immediately as they suspected and Tara went above and beyond and was in contact with me daily for updates and assurances. I was not sent to someone from maintenance nor had to file a request.... Tara Moore made sure my family had what they needed to make this house our home. She has really raised the bar on what I expected from a management company. When we are ready to buy... or God forbid, move again, Park Avenue will be our first choice and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a rental or a property manager. The outside maintenance (Heating and Air, Plumbers, and Septic) have all been fabulous, it was as if I were standing there with a checkbook myself. I had appointments made and kept, phone numbers and names of who was at or in my home, and they each made me feel like an important customer which, as a consumer, tells me Park Avenue's business is very important to them. 5 stars, hands down! I had never used a rental agency to rent my home until recently and I must say the experience was seamless thanks to Ann Bradford! I couldn't believe how easy it was, I signed paperwork on Sat and by the next Sat I had renters moving in. Ann was very professional and I would highly recommend her and Park Ave to anyone that may need there services. more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Actually takes the joy out of finding a home you like and being excited about! I met with the agent to view the home, Tried reaching someone to discuses the rental amount and special that was going on. Called several times, \r Waited for a response have yet to receive one!!! I completed the application along with the not $40 but $45 app fee. The company whom they use for verification was very helpful, I was told there was positive feedback regarding my application so there should be no reason I'm not approved... I then again called several times to follow up being that the property is no longer showing on the site yet again no response. I've come to think they don't take their applicants serious and do not specialize in customer service which make you second guess if you would rent from this company and if so how would they treat you as a tenant . I am at this point upset because I feel I've wasted money, will be looking elsewhere to take my business!!! more

I completed an application for a property managed by Park Avenue less than 24 hours ago. This morning Colleen set an expectation of 3-5 days for a response. Imagine how excited I was when I was contacted 2 hours later with an approval. While the lease is not yet signed, I am thus far very satisfied with the service I have received. more

Tara Moore is by far the most attentive, patient and helpful property manager we have dealt with when working with Park Avenue Properties. We have only one rental home and are more hands on then most owners. We were a bit disappointed with the service we were receiving until Tara took over our management. While I rarely take the time to write reviews, Ms.Tara Moore has been so very exceptional at her job and so great to work with, that I feel I must write a review commending her. Tara has just been the very best property manager EVER and she deserves the very very highest marks. When Tara was assigned to my properties she was very new at this profession, but she has far far far exceeded my hopes and expectations that she would do a good job. Tara was honest that she was new at this job but I felt it was only fair to give her a chance and hoped that what she lacked in experience she would make up for in willingness to learn and desire to do a great job. Tara is simply awesome! She has done a PHENOMENAL job and is the VERY BEST property manager I have EVER worked with and believe me, I have worked with a number of different property managers over the years. Tara is extremely intelligent, a hard worker, has excellent follow up on matters, and gives her job 100+% of her efforts. Tara cares about my problems, works diligently to get them resolved, and always accomplishes her goal! In a society that I have come to sadly think doesn’t care about their work product, Tara is an exception – she cares and she works hard and she gets it done and she does that efficiently and pleasantly and with a great demeanor! I cannot say enough positive things about Tara – she is one TERRIFIC property manager and one TERRIFIC person – they just don’t come any better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

This is my first time renting with Park Avenue Properties. The company as a whole is a bit frustrating to get a hold of. There seem to be too many hands in the bucket if that makes sense. I had sent ""info requests"" from sites like Zillow. I eventually heard back within a few days that the units were still available. I am renting a unit in Greensboro but live in Charlotte. Because I do not live in the area I wanted to view various places in the area while I was passing through on a recent roadtrip. Knowing that I would be passing by 2 units in the same community (and knew all the details as far as rent, # of beds and baths, due to listing on Zillow) I called the contact number a few hours in advance on a Monday (Park Avenue). The woman who answered the call asked 100 questions as if I did not already have a place in mind, when in fact, all i wanted to know was if I could view the property. She took down allll my info and told me a different agent would then contact me. I don't recall if this ever happened. I wound up going to the community and ran by a different agent (not affiliated with Park Avenue) who was able to get access into the units and show me around. Unfortunately my 1st unit was rented before I could get the application completed (I was called by someone from Park Avenue about 4-5 days later the unit was unavailable... I already knew this due to my initial contact person in the community who also had trouble getting in contact with the property manager) Luckily I was able secure the 2nd very similar unit at a great price. Once I applied I was contacted by Colleen Mcglynn who has been extremely friendly, helpful, and prompt at answering any questions or concerns during the leasing process. She even called me after hours on a Friday to assure me my application had been received and I would be contacted within 3-4 days when it was approved. There were also two minor fixes that needed addressing before I move in, Colleen Mcglynn has assured me both would be handled before my move-in date. Although a very rocky start, I am glad I finally have a contact person like Colleen who is prompt and informative. Now that I finally have a place secured, I hope things continue to run smoothly. more

We have been with Park Ave for 2 years, and we have not needed much from them. However, the other day a young man hit our mailbox. I met Tara Moore that same day, and she mentioned she worked for Park Ave. I asked her if she would be able to handle the situation for me. She was not our property representative, but she happily agreed to help. Tara followed up with me the next day to let me know the information was passed along. This is OUTSTANDING customer service. I am grateful that Tara is a part of the team at Park Ave, and I am glad when a situation came along the Tara and the team were there to help. more

I noticed my A/C was not working, so I took the face off of the thermostat and noticed it didn't have any batteries in it, so I put some in there and re-attached the thermostat So after that I could read the temp. in the condo. I tried to see if I could get it to work because the temp in the condo was already 80'. So I then checked the breaker, no luck. I even went out side to check that breaker as well. It was on also.\r \r Well, the temp outside was 80' as well, so opening the patio door would do no good. I worked with power companies all my life. One day I got heat exhaustion and since then, I can not handle the heat without getting sick from over heating!\r \r All this took place after 7:00pm. I called your agent for instructions on what to do. She called her A/C people and called me back. The A/C called me and asked me to cut off the unit and asked if it would be ok if they could come the next morning, which they did first thing and fixed my A/C unit. I forgot to fill out a request form after I had talked to the A/C people that night. I am very well satisfied with the time and the way it was handled. We had the same poor experience with Anne Bradford from Park Avenue Properties unfortunately.....I've never in my life had to deal with so much unprofessional nonsense as I have with this property manager and company. They're truly awful. You will pay more one way or another even if you follow all the rules and do everything correct. I regret ever leasing with this horrific company. RENTER BEWARE! more

Anne Bradford from Park Avenue Properties was one of the most unprofessional agents that I have ever been affiliated with. At first she seemed caring and helpful, but that all changed after we signed out lease. She began calling me almost weekly to complain about things in our neighborhood that I did not do or had any control over. I felt like she was accusing me of these things because she harassed me every week. She also stated she loved renting to us and would like to renew our lease. When It came time to renew our lease she stuck us and said she decided to changed her mind after she told us a month prior that she would love to. So there I was stuck without a place to live and had 2 days to move out. Not only did she do me dirty there, she also did not return any security deposit. She said the condition of our house was to bad to return our deposit. With that being said our place was left in immaculate condition. We moved out and cleaned the house all day. It was cleaner when we moved out than it was when we moved in if I must say so myself. I am not one to leave a mess for a landlord because I know that they have to get it ready to rent to another tenant. I was raised with better morals than that. Even though she left us out to dry we still did the right thing and vacated and cleaned the house top to bottom. I have talked to several other tenants that have rented off this company as well and they stated the same issues with Anne. She is nice at first and then once your locked in a lease she nickles and dimes you until the end. She runs her management company like a scam. I would not recommend her to anyone because she never gives back security deposits for any house or unit she rents. I advise you to take pictures and document everything with her if you do rent from her, because she will lie and everything else. more

We rented from this so called realty company. The air conditioning stopped working in the middle of the summer. Park Avenue refused to repair the air conditioning in temperatures in the 100's, we were forced to move again from our home, due to our family's safety. This was the second instance in which we were forced to move by this Realtor. We did not and would take anymore abuse by this organization and decided to leave. They will not take blame for anything and WILL stick it to the renter at any chance they get. There are better realty organizations out there, please continue to look. more
