I checked my credit report for the first time with another company and found out that an account had been sent to a collections agency. So I called in to solve this problem, HOW can a human being can be that RUDE!!!! I call in to solve this problem, this is the first time i dealing with Them, they don't allow me to questions and hang up on me. more

Ken Ray made my life miserable for about 7 months. He broke every rule a debt collector can and seemed to take pleasure in it. He called A LOT and was so rude it was unbelievable and said so many lies that I can't believe it. Every time I told him he was breaking the law using his guerilla tactics, he laughed and said, ""It's a matter of opinion."" Don't send him a dime, because everything he told us was patently wrong. If I owe a bill, I will always pay it--but strong arming and trying to intimidate people is just WRONG! \r And here is an interesting update (9-1-11) I just wanted to add another note here. Yesterday, I received a check back with the entire amount that I had sent Provider Recovery Scam 9 months ago. It was from the hospital. This scum company pushed and pushed for this money and in the end it was not even owed. They stole from me and I bought their line of b.s. If these people (especially this urchin Ken Ray), tell you that you owe them money, don't beleive them. He lied and lied to me, and this check is the proof. He called me and I explained to him that I had been approved for Medi-Cal. He said, ""That's opinion, not fact. I'm going to destroy your credit right now. It's done."" I said, ""If I can get you a check today, will you stop it?"" He agreed, so I rushed down there with the check.Now I've discovered that he already knew i had been approved for Medi-Cal, yet he bullied me into giving him $$ I did not owe. He knew! Be very careful, because guys like Ken Ray make a living doing these things. It's fraud, no question! Hospitals are not in the habit of sending refunds to patients, believe me. These people should be run right out of the collections business. more

Unbelievably Rude! REPORTED TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! 8/4/2011

As if my first attempt was not bad enough by telling me its not his problem I have debt...just pay my bill now and hung up on me. 2nd phone call...Said he had no idea why he was charging me interrest and would not stop interrest from occuring on my account while my insurance was verifying my bill. When I asked to speak to his manager he said there was'nt one and in the same breath said his name was ""Mr. Brent"" and refused to give me a first name. Said I was only good enough to know his last name, and hung up on me. 3rd phone call...I asked for his name he would not give it to me then told me to pay my ""Fing"" bill. By now Im very angry and am on call #4 to try to settle this problem. Simply asked him for his name again when he tells me to ""F"" off and that he is through with my phone calls. I spoke to the same person every time and he said it wasnt him. WOW what a joke. I have reported this co. to the BBB along with others and to the Dr. office that use this fraudulant, crazy, scam of a so called company. BE WARE!! Do NOT send payment to them! more

This company is by far the worst. Ken Ray is a sick man and extremly RUDE! He sent me a letter that said in bold letters: ""YOU HAVE FAILED TO PAY THIS ACCOUNT. DO NOT IGNORE YOUR DEBT. CALL ME IMEDIATELY TO DISCUSS HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR DEBT, OR EVEN BETTER, MAIL THE AMOUNT SHOWN ABOVE""... For a bill that was already paid. And when I asked where did this bill originate from he told me I had to contact a lawyer and that he couldn't give me legal advise. Then hung up in my face. So I called him back to ask to speak to a supervisor and he told me he was the supervisor and that I couldn't speak to anyone else. I said can I speak to your boss and he told me I had to do it in writing. Pissed me off. Something needs to be done with this company seriously because people shouldn't be able to do this to other people. I told him to kiss my A** and that he wouldn't get a single penny from me!.. Avoid this company by any means. He can make you very angry!!! more

I got a call from them on April 4th and when I answered my phone the guy just said he was ""Ken"" and wanted to talk to Joseph. I asked who it was and he just kept on saying he was Ken and needed to talk to Joseph. I told him that I'm Joseph and how could I help. He was instantly rude and was asking me how I was going to handle this problem of a $10,000 + hospital bill I have and wanted credi card #'s and everything. I told him I'm hardly making it paycheck to paycheck and I have nothing to give at the moment. He then rudely followed up with ""Well we've just established you're employed so how are we hadleing this?"". I had to tell him again that i couldn't do anything right now. This went back and forth for about 10 min and they eventually hung up on me. I think it was because I couldn't give them wated. I called back the next day to get info from them--info like who they are, where they are so I could mail a check, etc. They then told me that they wouldn't give me any of that info because they don't just give it to any stranger who calls. AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!! Needless to say, that go me a little...angry. All I wasnted was to know who I was talking to. NOTHING!!! Because they kept on hanging up on me we went back and forth like this for about 15-20 min. I was HORRIBLE!!!!! more

I checked my credit report for the first time in a while and found out that an account had been sent to a collections agency. When I attempted to contact that company I got the impression there was something more to it than just collections! As if they might have a different motive.\r \r I had to call THREE TIMES within 7 minutes because the employees there kept hanging up on me. I don't understand why one person said rude things and hung up on me. Another person asked me only if I was ready to pay them money and hung up. Try and ask any questions they'll hang up on you. I've never been so humiliated and with bad language too. \r \r They hiked my original bill up HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS by now! No doubt they are waiting as long as possible so the bill reaches a maximum penalty without attempting to contact me. Frankly I believe this is their way of pissing people off so they'll keep calling back and overpay. I believe also it must be some primitive form of ""mental torture"". If I were contacted by this company I would be found in favor of mental distress, in court of LAW! Pros: I look forward to the court date! Go ahead and CALL ME! Cons: They wont get a penny out of me and my credit report wil officially be ruined! more

Poor business practices 8/8/2007

This company practices unethical collection practices. One of their clients is SFGH Medical group, who despite having an in-plan contract with my medical insurance provider, United Healthcare, handed over a ""balance"" bill for collection (in violation of their contract with UHC). Contacting the collection agency to correct this was fruitless - they maintained that UHC was ""lying""(!) about the contract (even with the UHC representataive on the line). Unless paid immediately, they threatened to file a negative credit report. In short, unprofessional, short on facts, and simply unethical (everyone is a liar except them, right?) I've referred this to an attorney, because these people think that by threatening to damage consumer credit of average people, they can obtain quick payment for unfounded and disputed claims. Avoid this company at all costs if you are practice seeking billing resolution (think of the customer relations nighmare), and if contacted by them as a consumer for a bogus claim, don't even attempt to discuss it - just get an attorney. Pros: Answered the phone right away Cons: Everyone is a liar more

Worst nightmare 7/24/2007

I just had the worst, most unprofessional experience. I will be telling as many people as possible including the company that says I owned the debt, the FTC etc etc that this company treated me horribly and hung up on my 3 times. They called me saying the hospital which claims that I had a balance with them from a year previously sent me to collections. It was a year after the date of service, I never received 1 invoice but was sent to collections. In the process of moving out of state, I didn't collect my mail for 2 weeks. When I got the collections notice I called them, it took them 6 days to call me back, and the my attempts for more info were blocked. He said I could dispute but they would be hitting my credit before my dispute could go through. When I asked to speak to his boss he declined and hung up on me. I called again asking for his supervisor and he said my boss doesnt take these kinds of calls and hung up again.\r \r Enough. I don't deserve to be treated this way.
