Replacement of garage door motor 1/27/2016

When my garage door wouldn't open, I called Abel. Their telephone number is posted in the garage for a reason: Greg had a busy afternoon but kindly fitted us in to his schedule, explained that the elderly motor had failed, gave me choices for another, installed the new one, tidied up completely and in addition was understanding, kind, and pleasant. This was an entirely pleasant experience. Thank you Greg. more

Good work fair price 1/27/2016

I had to have a exterior light put in. Miguel head technician came out fave me a quote when they came I decided to modify the the job slightly by going into attic and pulling electrical. They were efficient and consciousness . I think the company needs to provide boot covers so they don't track in any mud. It had been raining. But they did sweep up after. Definitely would recommend them. more

Outstanding service 1/5/2016

The technician quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. The work was done on a chandelier with several bulbs, some which are difficult to change because of their height and location. This, I especially appreciated that, on his own initiative, he offered to change some of the harder-to-reach bulbs as a preventive measure, thus saving me from aggravation down-the-road. more

Very satisfactory. 12/15/2015

I've used Priority 1 Electric before, and they always do a satisfactory job. There was a switch in my kitchen that wasn't working, which means my refrigerator wasn't working. They came out and changed the switches and everything seems to be working so far. I will continue to use their service. - Marian W. more

Not confident in the service provided and will be looking somewhere else 12/9/2015

Priority 1 Electric brought out a representative who was unfamiliar with the task that I needed to get done at my house. It was a relatively easy task and not very complicated, just fixing a doorbell. However, he just seemed completely overwhelmed by what I wanted to get done. Then, when he looked at the electric set up and gave me the assessment, I was charged an additional couple hundred dollars on top of what Priority 1 was already charging me. I thought it was absurd and needless to say, I will not be going back to them for any future services. more

landscape lighting 11/5/2015

Should have considered changing 2 of the 4 transformers. That is all I needed and a few light bulbs. Did not need to change the entire system. more

The electrician was very polite and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem and knew what he needed to do to fix it. However, after shopping around with other electrical companies, I found the pricing was high for what work had to be done. RESPONSE FROM Priority 1 Electric: Anyone can give a ball park price over the phone but until an electrical repair has been properly diagnosed by an electrician no one can actually give a price. Our rates are at Standard Industry Rates and this customer was not over-charged for the type of work that was required. more

My experience with these guys were great!!! 8/26/2015

From the minute the two electricians showed up on time, they were very professional and eager to work... I showed them my plan and the problems they were to encounter as this was actually now replacing existing wiring... It was more than what they thought... This home is 30 years old and the trees in the backyard had roots that wouldn't quit... Every foot they trenched, had to have had at least 50 small alive roots...UGH!!! But they worked through it, and did a fantastic job ... I now have my new spa up and running all thanks to those two gentlemen... Thanks guys!!! more

Responsive and trustworthy 8/26/2015

My project entailed doing something to every electric outlet and connection due to the condo having aluminum wiring. Priority 1 had experience with this type of project and was interested in doing it while several others I talked to did not have the experience. Because the property is rented, to minimize disruption to the tenant, Priority 1 and I agreed to a price per connection based on an estimate I made of the number of connections. After completion they gave me an accounting of the price based on the actual number of connections they fixed. The final price was less than the estimate indicating that I over estimated the number of connections and that they only charge for what they did. more
