Best

Bob and preferred properties are very quickly responsive to any problems. These seem to be few and far between anyway. Security deposit return was prompt. Very professional.

Worst

Bob was impossible to get in contact with, for weeks at a time... then he will call you at some inconvenient hour, leave a message, and even if you call him right back, it will be...

Preferred Properties 5/3/2011

The landlord is very helpful. As toyband wrote, he does a lot of works himself, but he seems to be knowledgeable and experienced in repairing things. He knows what he is doing. Also, it is easy to contact him. When I reported a problem with the furnace one night, he came right away to check and fixed it!! He also replaced the whole window to a new one when I complained about the old screen. more

impossible to deal with- very unproffessional 9/1/2010

Bob was impossible to get in contact with, for weeks at a time... then he will call you at some inconvenient hour, leave a message, and even if you call him right back, it will be weeks before you hear from him again. even my letters went ignored until i sent certified mail. 'office'? i don't think so. i've never had a problem with any of my landlords before, so i consider myself a pretty decent tenant. do yourself a favor and get a tenant reference from HIM, see if he can provide one. more

PREFERRED PROPERTIES REALLY IS 7/10/2010

Preferred Properties/Bob were probably my best landlord. At first I thought it could be bad because he does a lot of repairs himself(there seem to be others helping sometimes) but he really seems experienced and knows a lot about houses. i felt secure becasue he appears like he told me, to be the only one with a key. The halls were even cleaned often by a lady and how many landlords do that! Pros: Good maintenance, clean halls, security Cons: Snow removal could improve more

Awful Landlord 1/11/2009

Bob Galli and Preferred Properties should get a half star but, I gave one since I had too. He doesn't even have an office for you to meet him it is an answering service. I ought to know I worked for them and he wasn't one of my clients but, I should of gotten his home number just in case. Because after what happened to me I could have used it. I will tell you he is not around at some apartments but, he was around a lot at mine. He needs to fix things but, he is the one who causes the problems in the first place. He is not around for some places unless your rent is late then he comes a calling or should I say crawling to your building. I will say the building and health inspector need to check on him because our garbage wasn't picked up on a several occasions for almost two weeks. And, he lets someone get away with using your things while you are not at home, mine were. One person's monitor was stolen after someone supposedly broke in the same day the front locks were changed. Hmmmm. Also, other people had things come up missing or stolen as well. One tenant had a small $20 suitcase stolen. Another had a diamond necklace taken. Don't rent from him because he is one of the worst and ladies have him see your boyfriend or brothers coming and going out of your apartment. Then he will not mess with you for awhile and then move out. One tenant did after two months. Don't take him to court or he will retaliate he did to me and I lost everything. When he controls the heat move out or else you will freeze without an electric heater or blanket. He even has a problem with the type of heater or lamps used because he is worried about a fire or something. And, document everything when moving in and out, he thinks hardwood floors are the latest trend and he will try to gauge you on your security deposit to rip up the floor's carpet for the next person. Hardwood floors are a lot noisier than carpet. The Bulletin should put him in their paper because he needs it. Pros: When he is no longer renting apartments. Cons: Too noisy, salt for snow removal limited, parking not well lit. Too many break-in for apartments with alarm systems more

Bad landlord 8/13/2006

Bob Galli is the worst landlord. He called me back once in 2 months when I called everyday. He is rude. I tried to have someone sublet my apartment and he wouldn't return their calls. He says he mailed me letters that never came. Tried to get me in trouble by saying my rent checks hadn't come when they had. He has done this to other friends of mine. He is an okay landlord until you want him to do anything for you and then he disappears. You can call him back two minutes after he's called you and his office will tell you he's not in. He appears friendly and his appartments are in okay shape but don't expect him to be helpful once he's suckered you into a lease. After you've paid your deposit he wants nothing more to do with you. Cons: never around, never returns calls, not helpful more
