Sarah Allen recommended me to Crissi Crutcher to cut my hair, since Sarah ran out of time. I showed Crissi the picture I wanted for my style, she did not even consider the picture and her lack of technique made it obvious that she was no where near the level Sarah was at. Her reply was, ""ok ok ok"", almost like she did not care, she seemed in a big hurry and she also seemed very annoyed. She even asked my friend to sit somewhere else after my friend was trying to help me with the questions about my hair. She asked how much I'd like cut and I said less than an inch, before my haircut my hair was a little bit above my waist and now it's a little below my shoulders, she took about six inches off! She cut my bangs and did not replicate the bangs in the picture I showed her and she made my bangs really short. She cut all of my hair in less than 10 minutes and as though it was a piece of paper, no technique what so ever. As soon as the haircut was finished she pulled off my smock and said, ""You can go now"". I was shocked, she did not let me look at my hair because she knew I would be upset. I glanced in the mirror and thought the back was not the shape I wanted and mentioned this to her. She tried to persuade me to believe that it was fine but I was skeptical and wanted more time to look at it, I was trying to ask my friend to come help me but she rushed us away. When I walked to the register I noticed that the price difference was different from the one process color, I remembered Sarah said she was going to perform a two step process instead of one so when she started with the foils on top I thought she was going to do all over color on the bottom, she didn't, she left it completely alone and then put toner all over my hair. As for the price of the haircut, Crissi's price was a lot lower than Sarah's which proved she had not been there as long as Sarah. This is when I realized that I was overcharged for what I paid for and not what I wanted. I wanted a uniform color but instead they highlighted only the top of my hair and were not going to give me a uniform color. Like I said, I have had highlights before but I did not ask for them, and after she highlighted my hair she used toner on my hair and did not say that it was toner, unfortunately I mistook the toner for hair dye. After I paid I went home and finally got a chance to fully examine my hair since Crissi rushed me off. I noticed the underneath of my hair was totally untouched and realized that I had received a partial highlight, so I decided to come back the next day with my friend because I am shy and discuss all my problems with the owner, which did not go well at all. Mike Carter, the owner was unwilling to give me my money back when I said I did not want it to be fixed at this salon. Mike tried to persuade me that his salon had done nothing wrong and he was not going to debate the $10 price difference between a partial and a full highlight so my friend kept trying to take up for me and he yelled at her, telling her to stop talking and he was trying to talk to me. Once he said that he absolutely would not refund any money my friend said that we would have to call the better business bureau and Mike yelled, ""Well we're done then!"" and walked away. Obviously they don't care too much if they lose customers...
Pros: Stacia, but she's gone now. :(
Cons: Irresponsible stylists, bad attitudes, horrible owner.
