Good for Geriatric Dogs 10/9/2011

They are very punctual bringing dogs into and out of their playrooms. When I drop her off they are quick to bring her in and fast at taking her out when I come to pick her up. Our girl is old and small so they put her in the geriatric playroom which she needs since she can't stand hyper dogs and puppies, they upset her. Large enough greeting room so that you can keep the dogs away from each other when you drop them off. The location is very convenient to-and-from work and home more

LOVE LOVE LOVE Piedmont Bark! 5/25/2010

I'm a single mom on the go and love the exceptional treatment they give my dog. In the midst of changing careers and going back to school I found I needed help with the care of my 3 year old pug. The answer......Piedmont Bark! Some days I am gone up to 14 hours and need someone to give the love and attention my dog deserves and I am just unable to at this point in my life. Piedmont bark knows my dogs behaviors and gives me updates on how she is doing. Also, my dog gets extremely excited when we get in the car to go there so I know she has a great time. Pros: Friendly staff, safe atmosphere, willing to go the extra mil Cons: they're not open 24 hours! more

Major screw up ruined our beautiful Golden Retriever!!! 4/27/2010

We brought our beautiful Golden Retriever with long flowing light golden hair in for a simple bath (no trimming or cutting what so ever).....After being at the facility since 11am, we finally called at 4:30pm to find out if she was ready yet because no one ever called us. We were told that she was ready and that they close in 30 minutes! \r Upon arrival, we were presented someone else's dog to take home. Once we informed the receptionist that that was not our dog she asked us to come in the back to identify our dog. At first we told her that none of the dogs were ours but after a closer look, realized with a startling shock that our dog was there, but had been shaved!!!!\r This experience has shaken our entire family. We're still trying to get used to seeing her so butchered. They didn't even blend the fur on her head smoothly into the extremely short shaved body. It looks hideous and all we asked for was a bath. \r Warning: DO NOT take your beloved dog to this incompetent business!!!! more

Fellow pet lovers I need help! 6/15/2009

The rating is a little premature, but I'm hoping to leverage the power of the internet to find my dog, Disco. As a pet lover, I hope you will forgive the brief intrusion into your Citysearch browsing. For those of us who don't have children, our pets fill that void. It is only when they are missing, that you really truly understand how much you love them. Please visit discoinatlantablogspotcom. I now return you to your regularly scheduled browsing session. Pros: Open mindedness Cons: None more

Better Options Available 1/29/2009

We used this facility for daycare and boarding extensively before discovering that it had been eclipsed. Yes, these are nice people and they will keep your dog for you. But the ratio of staff to dogs is quite low and the dogs are packed together in a very crowded area. You don't generally see the area where the dogs are kept, so you don't realize that they are often there with no staff in the area with them... the staff are at the desk, or grooming a dog, or doing other tasks besides actually supervising the dogs. Another problem is that the place is extremely noisy from the barking, which isn't the case everywhere, and which is a sign of crowding and stress. There are better options in Atlanta. more

Fun Place 7/8/2008

Piedmont bark was a very nice place to take your pets but when I went to visit they were a little high in prices and did not offer what some of the other doggie day cares offered. I liked their attitudes but I chose a location closer to my home. But over all I would recommend them. more

Good Vibes 7/1/2008

After two years of taking my miniature schnauzer to another doggie camp, I switched to Piedmont Bark. I switched because, among many other strange clues, my dog - who NEVER does this - peed on the floor out of fear when I left him at the other place. At Piedmont Bark, his behavior changed dramatically for the better! Even though he is still anxious about being left by me, after his 6 hour trial run, when we came back for boarding he actually recognized the girl that came to take him away and jumped up on her excitedly. The staff and the entire air about the place is highly professional - which leads me to believe that as is often the case in business, that professionalism will translate into how my dog is treated when I'm not around to supervise. My dog was happy to see me after 5 days at Piedmont Bark, however, he was not the anxious, Get Me the Heck Out of Here dog that he was when I retrieved him from the old doggie camp. I am very happy with my new choice for boarding my dog. Pros: Professional Staff, My Dog Seemed Happy There Cons: No Outdoor area that I know of... more

The best doggie daycare and boarding place in Atlanta! 12/3/2006

We have two dogs and frequently have a need for doggie daycare and boarding. Our dogs are always excited to visit Piemont Bark, and when we pick them up it seems like they don't want to go home. They have made several great "doggie" friends during their stays, and the staff is always very attentive and friendly. We've tried other places, but are convinced that Piedmont Bark is hands down the most convenient and professional facility in town. Pros: convenient location and friendly and attentive staff. Very clean facility. Cons: none more

Pretty good. 11/6/2006

They have a great facility. They are very good about following specific instructions (ie: Our dog can only have the food and treats we bring, he can't be exposed to harsh cleaning agents and he has to be washed with our special medicated shampoo). Our dog used to get a bad upset stomach after going because they would only place him with small, yappy dogs at first and he's just too agressive and rowdy for small dogs. Finally they agreed to put him with large dogs despite the fact that he's a medium sized dog and he does much better now. The only bad thing is that he has to have a bath everytime we take him (regardless of how long he's been there) because he comes home smelling like urine, otherwise. Overall, the location is very convenient, I love that Taj-Ma-Hound is located there and the staff is very kind and attentive. Pros: Nice, competent staff, Location Cons: Pet needs a bath after every visit more

Reliable doggie day care 7/20/2005

My German Shepherd plays at Piedmont Bark at least once a week. William, Jason, and Rodney are personable and accomodating, and my dog is always thrilled to see them. I can stay at work later with a clear conscience because I know that she is in good hands. The facility is large, fully air-conditioned, clean, sunny, and is designed to resemble a park (but indoors). They also provide boarding, grooming, and have self-serve doggie wash stations (no mess to clean up at home, and they provide the shampoo and towels). You can save money by purchasing a package of visits. Highly recommended Pros: Personalized care, clean & professional, NICE people Cons: limited outside area more
