'F' RATED ON THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. BUYER BEWARE! These people are rude, laugh in your face, tell you lies and don't care about the customer. I can't wait until they go out of business. If I knew they were F rated I would have never gone there and you should listen to all the bad reviews- they're a horrible establishment. They won?t give dates or times when things will arrive. They keep pushing you off saying that ?things are on their way?. For Months! They have some crack head lady working there with about three teeth, some beat up, worn out dark haired RUDE lady (that happens to be ridiculously stupid) and the owner is no better than a used car salesman. First I ordered my dress more than 2 months in advance and paid $30.00 for a rush of 4 weeks. Instead they tell me at 5 weeks that there cannot be a rush and I would have it one week before I leave the state to be in my cousins wedding. I called the week it should have arrived and they said it would be there Friday. I called Friday and not only did they lose my paperwork but the dress too. Pros: Nothing Cons: Everything more

i went into the shop in November and purchased a gown off the rack. my fiance and i have been making payments on it, in march just one month before our april wedding we both lost our jobs and went in to try and negotiate possibly getting a cheaper dress for the money that we put down, the owners Frankie and Raylene were there at the time and they said that they wold not be happy unless i was in my dream dress, they gave us a substantial discount on the spot and brought our price down to something we would be able to manage! everyone is so helpful, the shop is always clean and tidy, and if i have any questions they are always happy to answer them, i would defiantly recommend them to future brides! i don't understand why this store is getting such bad feedback,it is a beautiful place! Ladies, please call this store before you purchase your gown. I had found a Maggie while out shopping at a different bridal store and fell in love with it. but the price was a little to high for me. My friend who got her dress at Once In A Life Tyme told me to call them for a price. She said when she was shopping for a dress they were the cheapest in prices and she had no complaints about the store. So the next day I called. They told me they didn?t have the dress on the floor but could order it for me and the cost was almost $500.00 less then the store I found my gown at. That put it in my price range!!! This store is great. I decided to move my wedding date up which only gave me a total of 4 1/2 weeks till ?the day?. I walked into Once In A Life Tyme and was met by Nancy. I told her my problem with a quick wedding date coming up and she was so nice. she told me no problem she could get me on schedule. I told her what I was looking for in a gown, she pulled three and the third one was MY GOWN!! The price was amazing, the gown was amazing I was on cloud 9. Let me tell you girls, by the time I left the store Nancy had helped me purchase my gown, veil, tiara and had my alteration apt. already set. We also picked out our tuxes and even placed a super rush on my two brides maid gowns. When I left the store I started crying. I couldn?t believe I had such a big part of my planning done. I thought I was going to have to settle for my dress and tuxes and bridesmaid dresses just being ok. But with Nancy?s help I was the prefect bride I always dream about. Don't waste your time going to ""ONCE IN A LIFE TYME BRIDAL""!! Are Bridesmaids dresses were guaranteed to be here the first week in February and just now arrived giving me less then 3 weeks for alterations. For weeks I called the bridal store asking about the dresses and every time i was given a excuse for the absence of the dress and told my phone call would be returned the following day, and never was! The staff is rude and don't even take the time to help you. The bride was given a price for her alterations and when she went in for her fitting she was given a bill that was hundreds of dollars more then the price they originally gave her.The owner Fredde is rude and arrogant, When he was confronted about our issues with the dresses and alterations he started yelling and made the bride cry!!! He in no way tryed to resolve the situation. I told him that I was going to tell everyone I know not to shop there and he simply replied ""I don't care"" DO NOT GO TO ONCE IN A LIFE TYME BRIDAL!!!! I PUT MONEY DOWN ON A GOWN AT THE JUNE BRIDAL SHOW, I WAS TORN BETWEEN TWO DRESSES BUT MADE MY DECISION AND WENT FOR IT. FOUR MONTHS LATER I WENT IN TO RETRY IT ON. I STILL LOVED IT BUT... THEN I SEEN ANOTHER GOWN ! ANOTHER BRIDE HAD IT ON AND IT WAS GORGEOUS! AFTER I TRIED IT ON I COULDN'T TAKE IT OFF! I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO BUY TWO DRESSES. AFTER I TALKED TO THE SALES LADY (I THINK HER NAME WAS NANCY) AND EXPLAINED MY DELIMA, SHE CALLED THE OWNER. THEY LET ME APPLY THE MONEY I HAD PUT DOWN ON THE FIRST GOWN TOWARDS THE OTHER GOWN! I currently visited Once In A Life Tyme it was great. They made me feel at home. I was able to have the whole store to myself and try on as many dresses as I wanted to. WOW what a great experience. I did find two dresses I really liked. I'm making a list of all the likes and will go back to the shop to try them on again with my bridesmaids. Thank you for making my visit enjoyable. I went into this store really leary due to some of the reports on this site. I have to tell you, I am so glad I did. Despite other peoples letters, I had nothing but tons of help from Nancee and Anna. I could not decide between three dresses. I had to come back with my mom and bridesmaid to help me. Again on my second trip, nothing but good service to me and my bridesmaids. I still couldn't decide but I did narrow it down to the final two. I went to other stores at my mothers encouragement just to make sure I had found the right dress. I did not like the other stores attitudes, especially once I told them that I had found the same dress at their store for $300.00 cheaper at Once in a lifetime. I went back the next weekend and Anna wasn't there, but Nancee and Rebecca was. They were helping other brides but they were still able to help me too even though I didn't have an appointment. This time I picked my favorite dress plus found the perfect veil, shoes and bridesmaid gown. Anyone who reads this, go in this store! You won't regret it! The store is beautiful and clean and everyone I have dealt with were really nice. Even when they were busy with other brides! Next I am taking my fiance in to do his tux! I would NOT recommend Once in a life tyme bridal. I put a deposit down on a dress at the bridal show in June and was told that if I decided not to purchase the dress in full that I could use the money that I had already put towards the dress as store credit. I specifically asked if I could use the money on shoes or a veil and I was told yes. I ended up getting my dress somewhere else and when I called to tell them that they could take my dress off of hold I was told that they were keeping the money unless I put it towards another dress. I told the lady on the phone who was also talking to everyone else but me that the manager told me I could use the deposit on either shoes or a veil. She was so rude and told me that she had already talked to the manager and the manager said that she did not tell me that. YEAH RIGHT!!!! I had a friend with me that specifically remembers me asking about the deposit. They were VERY rude and dishonest. I would stay far far away from that place. OMG!!! I had a makeup trial today after a friend of mine referred me to this young lady. I am not a big makeup fan and had a horrible experience last month where the ""mac artist"" turned me into a CLOWN. .. Needless to say, I was unhappy. Regardless, I tried her, because my wedding is less than 6 weeks away. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS! My fiance, who does not like makeup, looked at me like I was a supermodel. He couldn't stop looking at me. Now I know my day will be great. I called my friend and thanked her. I told my new Makeup Artist that I would refer her to people, so I am keeping my word. Her name is Natasha, her number 646-641-5501 and she travels to her clients throughout New York. Her fee was surprisingly affordable which was good for me, because I am on a tight budget. I'm getting married in October.. I went in December, ordered my dress. I was told 3-6 months and it should be here. Its now July. NO DRESS. I've called and tried to follow up several times but they ""dont know"" where my dress is or where it was coming from, but they did know that it would be here by my alterations appointment--how could they possibly know that?!. I asked for a tracking number so I couild just locate it myself but was told they couldnt give it to me. (I work at a place where we send things to customers, we give tracking numbers all day long). I asked to speak with the owner (who apparently cant call anyone) but never recieved a call. I was told by ANNA she would follow up with me. I called her back and it was coming from China (before she told me NY). So, she then said she would track it daily and call me. Again, no calls. I called back and it was there. Great why didnt they call me?? (Also, why didnt they call me when it was 2 months past the arrival date?) Anyway, I go to pick my dress up and its damaged... Lovely. of course, they cant do anything. I am a bride getting married in March of 2008. I walked in there even after the bad reviews on here. Safe to say I was cautious. I saw that I knew one of the girls working there. She is extremely sweet. She had been working there, I found out, since she was 15 off and on. She had a great knowledge of the product and pointed me in the right direction. her honesty was refreshing considering most bridal salons said EVERYTHING was beautiful on me, and were usually too afraid to tell me what looked best on me. This store has the worst service and product I have seen in my ""Life Tyme"". Upon ordering a dress in January, I was given a verbal agreement that I would be able to come in an exchange the dress if I decided that the one I ordered was not for me. In order to compare dresses (like any future bride would want to do), I made a list of numbers of other dresses that were possibilities, and decided to go to the shop and try them on. After coming in several times the lazy sales people told me that the ""codes"" I gave them for another dresses I liked could not be identified, instead I needed pictures for them to be able to be found (huh?). After hearing five different stories from five different people, I began to get frustrated. more

The owners Frankie & Raylene are the worst business owners ever! They are only concerned about your money! Not only do they hire uncompetent & lazy staff they care nothing about their customers and any ""problems"" they encounter with their establishment. We bought wedding gown at the Bridal Expo and they were very attentive there . We felt very pleased with our experience with this shop....well the Expo was all a farce. When you walk into the shop you get ignored by the staff & when questioned they act like you are putting them out, they have NO idea what they have as samples, inventory, or who they represent as designers. We ordered the BM dresses thru them and asked if we could get swatches of the fabric and after 3 months and several phone inquiries one of the employees basically called me a liar that I never ordered swatches! We also ordered the veil (8 months before the wedding) we found out 2 months before the wedding that it never was even ordered! & that the veil was no longer in stock.. after chosing a different veil that could be customized My daughter went to pick it up 2 weeks before the wedding and it was not even close!!! Our alterations lady (not associated with the shop anymore because she was treated awful by her ""friend"" Raylene the owner) happened to have a veil just like my daughter wanted told us the shop COULD get the veil but they were not using this particular vendor . My daughter insisted the shop order her veil (1 week before the wedding) They wanted to charge her the rush order fee plus the difference in the veils. The day the veil was to be in my daughter called to make sure it was in and guess what NO VEIL 4 days before the wedding!! My husband went to the shop that day and demanded to speak with the manager Nancy, She has no authority to do anything for the customer. She got Raylene on the phone and basically Raylene said take it or leave it she was NOT discounting the veil or compensating us for anything, we were screwed! I truly am shocked about the previous ratings and comments posted. I had quite possibly the best experience with Once In A Life Tyme Bridal. I didn't intend on buying a dress and I was pleasently surprised when I walked in and was greated by a few ladys. They told me to look around and try on anything I would like. I especially liked the fact that they were not breathing down my neck and they had multiple sizes unlike other stores that only carry a size 8. Really, I'm not a size 8. I could look around and take as much time as I wanted to take. They also helped me when I requested them to. I was undecided after walking out and went to other stores where I was highly disappointed! I when back to Once In A Life Tyme and told them about another quote on a dress and they met and beat the price by $400!!! They told me it would take about 5 months to get the dress but I got mine within a month and a half and have it in my posession. I could not say anything bad about them!! They made my bridal shopping experience so relaxing and fun!! more

My wedding is April 5, 2008 and it is March 29, 2008 and it is still not in. Some of the girls in the wedding party were fitted wrong now have to pay much more in alterations. No matter wheter we call or go into the store there is no results and nothing offered to compesate for all the problems. I would never ever recommend this store to anyome. more
