Extremely Happy with Jocelyn 9/28/2011

It was a little nervewrecking trying to find a new salon and stylist. So I dared to try out the Octagon, checking out other people's reviews. I called and had an appointment for 15 minutes later. I was VERY satisfied with Jocelyn. She has been working there for 6 years. I showed her a few pictures of the layers I wanted. She knew exactly what to do. It turned out great! :) She didn't try to overdo it. She seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. I'm glad I have a new haircut and stylist that I actually love again. The staff is friendly and they have a nice waiting room, filled with sweets, munchies, and a coffee machine. Yum :) I will definitely go back! Thank you so much ladies at Octagon! :) more

Excellent customer service!!! 4/21/2011

Just wanted to thank all the ladies at Octagon they are FABULOUS we had such a wonderful time over the weekend experiencing our head to toe spa package and the limo ride was relaxing too... love the pink & zebra print. If you looking for a great Spa this is the place for you the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING!! thank you Janelle and all the ladies at Octagon your the best!!! Bernadette is great! 11/9/2010

I have Fibromyalgia and other arthritic conditions and Bernadette has been a great relief to find and add to my treatment regiment. She is sensitive to my needs and very good at her job as a massage therapist!! If you go there and I advise you do, ask for her!! I hate to share this because she is hard to get as it is!! more

VERY IMPRESSED 1ST TIMER 6/1/2010

I received a gift cert. and went in for several spa services. Walking in the door I was immediately greeted, & had come early per their request as I was a new client & needed to fill out paperwork for the aesthetician (which they never gave me). Pros: courteous staff, comfy, elegant atmosphere Cons: scheduling mistake that was gracefully fixed more

Octagon Spa and Salon is phenomenal! 3/29/2010

The stylists at Octagon go through a rigorous training prior to being allowed on the floor with their own clients. Each stylist has a rating which indicates how advanced they are in expertise. I have loved my experiences at Octagon and have enjoyed massages, manicures and pedicures too. []They are also well equipped in dealing with multiracial hair types as well, and take good care of my children's hair which I appreciate. Check them out; you won't regret it! more

I only go there because of Natalie 9/21/2009

Natalie has been doing my hair for over 7 years now I believe. I couldn't find a stylist that knew how to cut and style. Mind you, my hair is coarse and curly and I like it straight. She has an amazing hand on cut because it grows out beautifully and she knows angles and how to straighten. Every stylist should learn from her because it's nice to finally walk out of the salon happy. I've been to her for updo's, cut, style, and relaxers. I recommend her. The salon itself its too pricey and I wish they would rethink the price because that is why I gave it 4 stars it would've gotten 5 if the price was lower. more

Vicki is fantastic! 6/30/2009

I've been going to Octagon for hair care (ie. color, cut and extensions) for 6 years and have had a couple stylists. Vicki is the best! She keeps up on all the current trends and products to provide her clients with whatever interests they might have. Every time I've come in with a different hair style (via picture) Vicki has created the style to a tee! As far as the spa services, they are o.k. I was not impressed with the nail services (manicure and pedicure). more

Vicki is good at doing what she does. I came to her with a really bad perm and color that i had no idea what i wanted to do with. I told vicki that i wanted my hair to be healthy and she helped me get my hair healthy,vicki wont use or have you buy any product that is not good for your hair. She gave me a amazing haircut and the color is great, she really knows what she doing, i felt that when i was in her hair she really listened to what i did and didnt like. So if you want amazing results and a stylist who listens to what you want go to vicki. more

I have been going to Octagon Salon for almost 2 years now. I first went to get extensions by Vicki Millard. They looked so fabulous and Vicki did the most amazing job. She took her time and was so nice to be with. I've gotten my extensions out since, but I just loved Vicki so much that I continue to get my hair cut and dyed by Vicki. I just went on thursday this past week and I love it!!! I recommend Vicki to everyone , she is AWESOME!!! more

Great Overall Day Spa 5/30/2009

Great hours for those of us who need Sat & Sun appts. Front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. Renni is great for new and creative (but not unprofessional)hairstyles. Everyone at the office always asks me who does my hair. Katie is a great massage therapist - can work out anything with as much or as little pressure as you like.. more

Octagon is a terrific place. Friendly staff, great environment. Best of all is Renni! She's fun, creative and professional. I get lots of compliments every time she colors my hair. I've never gotten so many nice comments about my hair. Renni also makes the appointments fun. She suggests new things, but isn't pushy. She works really hard to make sure you have the style that looks best. She's awesome. You won't be disappointed. more

EXTEND YOURSELF!! 5/29/2009

I have had extensions for 8 years and they have never looked so natural and beautiful!! Vicky has taken the time to learn many different product lines available and it has paid off for me! She helped me understand the difference between the lines and recommended the best value for my thin hair. I now have thick long blonde hair that I am always complimented on! She has given me a new look and made me feel like a brand new person! I love my hair, and my appearance! I have done the homework, and tried other stylists. I no longer need to shop around. Vicky is the BEST! The salon is also very nice! It has a warm felling to the decor and offers many services. A top notch place to go without having to spend top notch dollars. They are always running specials and their prices are very competitive with the area. more

I have been many places on the north shore and paid way to much for so much less! Vicky has perfected hair extensions and color! She has helped me find the perfect extensions to give me the look I always wanted but didn't get naturally. She colored my hair to match everything perfectly and no one can ever tell my hair is bought. I am always hearing how beautiful my hair is and how lucky I am. I am not shy...I tell the admirers to call Vicky! They too can have it! Seriously though, I live on the north shore and I have had extensions for 8 years. I will NEVER go to another NS salon or pay NS prices again. I will take the 30 minute drive to see the best! Pros: #1 IN HAIR EXTENSIONS AND COLOR more

Vicki Millard is the best stylist I have every gone to. She is a professional in every since. She does my hair the way I like it done & makes me feel that I have been treated special. She will go above & beyond to make me feel uplifted & beautiful when I walk out the door. She gives her all & continues to gain additional knowledge by attending hair demonstrations & classes to keep up with the modern trends & products that best suite our needs. She is especially talented person & has foresight. She will organize photo shoots, not only for herself, but will include her fellow associates so their work can be published in international hair books. Vicki is a leader and adventurist. more

Vicki Millard has been cuttin my hair ever since my wife threatened to divorce me if I didn't stop going to those Chain hair cutting places like Great Cuts. She threatened to talk to a barber that massacred my head. I have a goofy head with cow licks. Vivki tames the beast and makes my wife happy. She has orders from my wife to not cut it too short. My wife goes to her also for color, cut and extensions. Vickie is very good at what she does. She keeps my hair looking great and my wife happy. I hate getting haircuts, but Vickie makes getting a haircut painless. She gets me in and out. Most important she makes my wife happy. more

Amazing experience 5/27/2009

I have been going to vicki for about a year and i couldn't ask for a better stylist. she has made my experience at Octagon Salon amazing, there is no way I would ever go anywhere else. While the price is never to high, and the service is phenomenal there is nothing else you could ask for. From the minute you step in the door they make you feel at home and whatever you need they will make sure you have it. I would recommend this salon to anyone. I cannot stress enough how excellent the service is and how great the price is. I used to go to another salon and i was paying way overprice, Octagon Salon is the place to go :) Pros: excellent service overall more
