The stylists at Octagon go through a rigorous training prior to being allowed on the floor with their own clients. Each stylist has a rating which indicates how advanced they are...

Octagon Spa **Renni** 4/30/2009

Just wanted to say I love coming to Octagon Spa and I especially love my stylist Renni. She is the best stylist I have ever been to. I have very difficult hair to cut and style and she nails my taste every time! She is very experienced and professional. I have never left unsatisfied! Again, if you go to this salon which you should-see Renni! She's undoubtedly the Best! [] []This facility is very clean and professional as well. The staff is also very friendly! :) more

Kaye did my hair and I finally love the way my hair looks, I went to another salon and the person really messed it up, so I went to Ocatgon to fix it and I could not be any happier, she did such a great job and did exactly what I asked for...Thank you Kaye! more

My favorite spa 4/30/2009

I always feel confident when I leave , Kaye does my hair and shes the best, very professional, great attitude and never late for my appointments. The staff always smiles and makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I've also been to other stylist If I can't get in with Kaye and I know I can trust them, they are all very good. My stylist is what made my experience at Octagon Spa unique. **Renni** is very professional. I tell her what I want and she nails it everytime! I never leave unsatisfied. Cut, style, color it doesn't matter-Perfection! Expertise is the perfect word to describe Renni. Go see her I promise you won't be disappointed! -She listens to everything you say too! Amazing Service and Experience 11/25/2008

Thanks to the reviews on citysearch, I decided to try out this new place! Trust me people if u desperately need a new look (i needed one),or just a simple hair cut this is the place to go. Everyone makes you feel important right from the receptionist to the hair technicians (that?s what they call them) ....My hair specialist was Jennifer, she was great!! She had loads of suggestions which truly worked in my favor! more

Best hair cut and style I've *ever* had 5/29/2008

I'm kicking myself for not trying Octagon sooner. Natalie was *awesome.* I brought my magazine picture that I always bring when I try a new salon, and she suggested something that would look better on me. It turned out beautifully, and I'm stoked for my husband to see me when he gets home from work! I actually look my age again for the first time in *forever.* I have naturally curly hair, and after having it cut at a chain establishment (I looked like a poodle for months) I was scared to go anywhere but my trusted Aveda salon in Michigan. I'm planning to return to her for purple extension bits (which she suggested when I told her I bought manic panic after seeing the Cure) so we'll see how that comes out. I *highly* recommend Natalie for anyone with curls who needs an updated look. Pros: Incredible hair Cons: You pay for quality like this more

best place to get hair extensions! 5/5/2008

I got hair extensions and Vicki and Kira did an amazing job! No one could tell that they weren't real, and sometimes I forgot that it wasn't my real hair!!! The color and cut I got after I got them removed is absolutely gorgeous! Vicki and Kira are amazing!! I recommend this place to everyone and anyone!!! Pros: my hair!!! Cons: none!!! more

Best Color 4/28/2008

I moved from the Gurnee area couple years ago and have not been able to find anyone who can color my hair as good as Vicki used to. I can't wait until I can plan a trip back there to see her again. I was also there for a spa day before my wedding (manicure, pedicure, massage) and they really know how to take care of you. I recommend Octagon to anyone looking for a great cut/color and more. more

I would like to comment on the great & professional service I've received from Vicki Millard at the Octagon Salon. Vicki is a very talented hair stylist , who enhances the fine reputation of the Octagon business & it's years of excellant service. She will go out of her way to accommodate me as her client, find the right color and style to suit my personal apprearance & will always discuss new or unique products to ensure a healthy hair or skin. She will go above and beyond to achieve the best for me. I always leave feeling happier because of my improved appearance and special treatment. Pros: night hours Cons: none more

Gentlemen, if you need to get your haircut or want to change your style, Octagon is the place to go. Not only can they take care of your hairstyle but they also have a fantastic full service spa. Sarah has been taking care of me for about 6 months and has done a great job working with me to create just the style I?m looking for. If you want the best, ask for Sarah!!! Best haircut - for naturally curly hair! 3/26/2008

I was referred to Vicki and Kira by a good friend (with straight hair) and decided to give them a try. I have now gotten two fabulous haircuts and my crazy curly hair looks great. I would recommend them to anyone, they are both professional, nice, and give you the cut you want. They're wonderful! more

I have been going to the Octagon Spa and Salon for many, many years. I have had spa experiences at Octagon, all of which have been outstanding. The last time I had a massage, I left feeling wonderful, without having to pay North Shore prices. The staff is friendly, polite and always makes me feel welcome. The shop is impressive and one needs to commend Janelle for the frequent changes she has made to ensure that it is always at its best, not only for her customers, but also for her staff and I love the charming gift ideas she has for purchase throughout the year. Jancey has been doing my hair for the last several years, and I have been extremely pleased with her skill and her friendly conversation. She is a very talented, patient, understanding, and creative individual. My positive experience had led to my entire family (husband and two adult children) to having their hair done by Jancey, as well as other salon services. I would highly recommend Octagon and Jancey to anyone looking for a new salon and stylist. more

I have been going to the Octagon Spa & Salon for 4 years. I have always had great experiences with haircuts, colors, waxing, and spa services. Vicki has been cutting my hair since I moved here and her and Kira are exceptional. The salon is always relaxing, has items available for resale, and offers great service!!! Vicki is the best 3/20/2008

I enjoy seeing Vicki and Kira every six weeks (or eight, if I'm too busy). Vicki is one of those hairdressers who just "gets it" and I've always had a great cut/style when leaving there. Kira gives great head massages while shampooing and they have awesome hours -- weekends or weeknights, I can always get a time that fits my schedule! Pros: Vicki's skills more
