I KNOW THIS IS PHILLY, BUT CAN WE GET SOME LITERACY, PLEASE? 11/22/2009

I am about to purchase my first car ever and the Hyundai site where I ""built"" the car I want sent my info to Northeast Auto, who in turn sent me a rambling email riddled with awful grammar, punctuation, and misspellings. I wouldn't go out with a man who sent me an email like that, so why on earth would I buy a car from a dealership that does? Presentation is everything, and I don't trust people who don't understand the concept of 'you never get a second chance to make a first impression.' No thanks, I'll go somewhere else. This dealership seems to exist only to reinforce every negative stereotype about people from Philly. Cons: Extremely unprofessional more

HORRIBLE 8/4/2009

Went in last Friday to but a Hyundai (2009) that was advertised in NE Times. Was immediately told that since I didn't have a trade in the price goes up $6000. After 2 hours of going back and forth I was offered a KIA Optima to pick up Monday(8/3). Was told KIA was owned by Hyundai. They had all my financial info to process everything and made an appt. with Anthony(sales manager) for Monday. I e-mailed and left a voice message for him to call me as I wanted all the paperwork done before I got there and neither was answered. Went in to sign paperwork and pick up the car and was told they sold the KIA they had for me and that the only car they could get a bank to finance was a 2004 Hyundai Elantra. Then I was told that Hyundai didn't own KIA anymore and they weren't getting anymore KIA's in. Said that a new finance team started that day and was still working on the loan. Finally, the finance manager came out and told me that they couldn't do anything as my credit report said I was deceased since 2003. That's when I left. Immediately went to another dealer and got exactly what I wanted for the price I was looking for and putting through the financing took less than half an hour. I was in and out of the dealership, with my new car, in under 2 hours.\r DON'T GO TO NORTHEAST TO BUY A CAR!!!!!!!! Cons: EVERYTHING more

GREAT PLACE/ SUPERB PEOPLE 3/3/2009

I HAVE READ A FEW REVIEWS ABOUT NORTHEAST AUTO OUTLET AND MUST INSIST THEY ARE WRONG. I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE\r I WAS IN LINE ONE TIME WAITING TO BE WRITTEN UP AND THEIR WAS THIS CUSTOMER YELLING AT THE SERVICE WRITER BECAUSE THEY WANTED A REPAIR COVERED UNDER WARRANTY THAT WAS BROKEN BY THE CUSTOMER. THE CUSTOMER STATED THEY WERE BACKING OUT OF THEIR GARAGE AT HOME AND BROKEN THEIR MIRROR. SO THE WRITER SAID THAT IT WAS NOT A DEFECT , THAT THE CUSTOMER BROKE IT AND WAS RESPONSIBLE. IT WAS THE DUMBEST THING I EVER HEARD A PERSON ARGUE ABOUT. I FELT SO BAD FOR THE SERVICE WRITER, HE WAS JUST DOING HIS JOB AND HE WAS RIGHT. IT MAKES ME WONDER ARE PEOPLE THAT STUPID OR JUST CHEAP?\r I HAVE ALWAYS PAID A FAIR PRICE AND HAVE HAD EXCELLENT SERVICE. I GUESS PEOPLE TRY AND GET OVER ON DEALERSHIPS BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY HAVE MONEY, HELLO HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING THE NEWS? MOST DEALERSHIPS ARE CLOSING AND THE BIG 3 ARE IN FINANCIAL RUINS\r IT CAUSES PEOPLE LIKE THAT CUSTOMER WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THEY BROKE AND EXPECT A DEALESHIP TO PAY, TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS\r THANK YOU NORTHEAST AUTO FOR BEING THERE\r A LOYAL CUSTOMER Pros: VERY VERY FRIENDLY STAFF Cons: HAVING TO SIT NEXT TO RUDE SMELLY CUSTOMERS IN THE WAITING ROOM more

Terrible, terrible dealership...Avoid these people like the plague! 2/15/2009

This is the worst dealership in Philadelphia. I am proud to say that I did not buy a car there and my biggest regret when it comes to them is wasting 2 hours of my life there. I went in to buy a Chevy Cobalt for a daughter and I wasn't 100% sure which one I'd exactly get. I looked through some of them and I found one that was from the previous year, brand new. I figured it would be cheaper, but the price they offered me was actually much higher than what a brand new one would cost, from the current year. I literally laughed when the sales rep. ""congratulated"" me for making a deal with him at $300/month for 48 months. I walked out at that point.\r \r Everything about how they do business screams foul. The way that the sales reps and managers will only discuss deals near their desks where you're not allowed to go (if you approach them they all suddenly stop talking) obviously shows that something's up. The manager is overly aggressive, somewhat rude, and I can only imagine how they would treat you once you buy a car. I went to a different dealership outside the city where I got a fair price and no attitude. Do not buy a car here if it's the last place on Earth. The workers there are poster children of the image that people get when they think of a cheesy, steal candy from a baby, salesperson. I can imagine their only business is old or naive people who know nothing about cars and prices. Pros: NONE! Cons: they try to pressure you to buy, don't care about what you want, and about a dozen more more

Hands Down, Worst Ever! 10/23/2008

First thing first, I write good and bad reviews when needed, for outstanding service, and despicable! Without going into sorted details and naming names or going on a tyrant, I will lay it out simple and clear. It goes beyond my personal issues and experience, it is a generalized way this place is run.\r North East Auto Outlet, is everything you read in all the reviews!!!!!\r Hands Down Terrible!!\r I am ashamed of myself for getting a car from them.\r They sell you a car and forget about you.\r They blame you for their mistakes.\r They make promises and don?t keep them.\r They make up lies. \r They fight with you.\r They hang the phone up on you.\r They blame you\r Most of all they make you feel like the victim you are, after getting a car from them.\r \r This was my first, and last purchase from them. Out of the 8 new vehicles I have purchased over the years, this without a question by a landslide, was the worst dealership I have EVER??.EVER dealt with.\r \r It took corporate level Customer Service to get my issue resolved. When all N.E. Auto Outlet had to do is fix one small mistake on their end, that could have been done in less than a week?..not a month. \r \r If anyone reads this and is having trouble with this dealership, go beyond them, go directly to the manufacturer of the vehicle you get there. Nothing will happen till you go beyond them?.they do not care about their customers at all.\r more

Beware of the Leprechaun 8/29/2008

Went in last night ready to buy Elantra SE model and spoke to Jim(he said he was the sales manager). \r \r Started discussing price when he told me that ""You're not the one controlling the negotiation. I am.""\r Needless to say, I got up and walked out. I just asked for a quote...jeez! \r \r Horrible, horrible little fellow. He had squinty eyes, veins in his nose from constant inebriation, and looked like a little leprechaun. Do not buy a car from this troll of a man.\r \r They are only looking for suckers. Beware! \r \r Hope that helps. more

Worst Employer..and Sneaky Shady buisness 7/24/2008

Back when I read in a paper for a Job I thought to myself this place is close by and the people seem nice. Working for this company my car started to go and seen a car i wanted. I wasn't given a employee discount. and they over charged me for a pre owned car when i could have spent 2 grand more for a brand new. and the 6 year loan turned into 6 year loan + 3 months whcih i was told 6 years nothing extra. The paperwork got to the bank late making my booklet come in late. and the paperwork was all done to quick and unexplained.. so sitting there working for them I noticed the complaints and upsetting stories from customers werent just ""the crazy cust crazy people"" as I was told by people I worked with. And I started re thinking about working there. As much as I tried to help the young & elderly and unknowing helping them being a customer service rep I have learned I felt worse and worse for the people that came for service or to buy a vec, and I wanted no part of this company anymore. for the way they treat customers and I (an employee and customer at the time) they treated me just as bad and wouldnt tell anyone to work for them or buy a car or have a car serviced. I left the job a happier and more honest person and apon my leaving my manager decided to throw out my stuff before I had a chance to pick it up. I have no words to describe the service and sales dept other then to stay away I am not a crazy ex employee I walked out knowing i am a better person no longer being underpaid to hear people cry, be upset or mad complaining about northeast auto outlet I tried my best to be a customer service rep and make people happy but I am 1 person and they are a big company and I tried my best to be a good employee but I cannot work for a company who scams people everyday Young,Mature,Broke, rich it didnt matter if you deal with these people you will be sorry. Take it from someone who quit because of what happens behind closed doors i have a cleaner soul for leaving this job. more

Worst Dealer in Philadelphia! 4/29/2008

It's now been less than 2 months since I purchased my vehicle and I'm at a grand total of $1,700 in repairs that (to no surprise) wasn't covered by the dealer warranty or the extended warranty! Awesome, right?! I strongly suggest that whoever uses this dealer take into consideration that whatever car is in the Northeast Auto Outlet lot can be found at any other GM lot. Take your time and DO NOT resort to these people - they lied to me, treated me like dirt one month after purchasing the truck and now am financing something that doesn't run properly. Please do not fall into the same trap I did and shop somewhere else. Actually, we will be protesting this Saturday (5/3/2008) across the street from the Northeast Auto Outlet at Grant Avenue and Academy Road for whoever was screwed by this dealer. Wear yellow as the protest is based around lemon cars and the outlets poor business practices! Pros: They keep the cars clean while they're in the lot. Cons: They don't give one sh*t about your car once you leave the lot! more

Shady business 3/13/2008

VW dealership here is absolutely horrible. Things I found while trying to talk to these people about my purchase:\r - They don't know anything about their cars\r - They are pushy salesman with tricky habbits\r - They promise you things they can't deliver\r - They LIE!\r - Shady pricing strategies and do not call you back\r \r This is the worst experience I've had in my 25 years of life and I am totally disgusted by these people. I will never do business here, nor should you. I'd rather pay $1000 more and get the car I want and feel comfortable.\r \r I walked away from the deal and so should you. Cons: Shady people, cars, and business practice more

Extremely rude and changed prices 5/17/2006

After I bought the car and had to come in for car problems , they gave me a price of $300 for a light and told me I needed brake pads, then I went to another dealership and I didn't need brake pads and they chraged me $9.99 for the light, a $290 difference. When I questioned them on this I was treated extremely rude and dissmissed. more
