I work between 23rd, and the pearl districts so I've been to all of those trendy italian restaurants more than once, but for me Nona's beats them all hands down. It's definitely going to be a matter of taste though, the dining area, and bar are a bit on the shabby side, and the food is neither creative nor fancy. It is however, fabulous, and served in enormous portions. It's the place to go if you want homestyle comfort foods, but if you perfer a trendier setting, or ""creative"" italian food I'd suggest somewhere else. However if you want homestyle italian this is the place to go.
Pros: huge portions, excellent meat sauce
