I love my new ""spa -like"" bathroom! The New Creations team did a wonderful job. The workers were professional, courteous and trustworthy. The area was always left clean and they...

When I first met with the people at this firm I was very excited and ultimately chose to move forward with them. Pros: Good project management Cons: Some let downs

We are EXTREMELY happy with the work done by New Creations on our kitchen. Our experience started with Design where Erin worked with us in every aspect of the design and never complained or rushed us when we changed our minds. She accompanied us on all of the supplier visits and was instrumental in us being so happy with the final results. She also staid engaged throughout the project. The Construction phase went just as well. The quality of the workmanship was top notch. No mater how much mess was made, they cleaned up the job site EVERY DAY. The team was always checking in to make sure we were happy with what we saw and it was obvious that they really cared about us, our kitchen and making sure we had a great experience. Roy send us an email with a progress update and next steps almost every day, this in addition to maintaining a complete project list and calendar online that we could review and made our own comments. A couple of time we wanted to make changes in the design after the project was underway and while this is never optimum, Roy and his team went above and beyond to make sure that this process exceeded our expectations. The level of communication, customer focus and quality of the project were outstanding. If you want the best that Austin has to offer in custom Kitchens. I have NO hesitation in recommending New Creations. more

This review marks our third successful engagement with Roy and the New Creations team. The first was a stunning remodel of a galley into an open, airy European-style kitchen with wide open shelves featuring floating cabinets with attractive under-cabinet lighting. Our second was a remodel of a beige and forest green lavatory with peeling-linoleum-filled bathroom into a crisp, airy bathroom featuring hexagonal tiles that popped with dark grout and thoughtfully reworked pluming with chrome fixtures.\r \r Our most recent engagement was a large project in our newly purchased home. It involved new floors, resurfaced ceilings, wall to wall paint, and a completely resurrected kitchen space. I've always admired how clean and unimposing Roy's team can be while knocking down walls and tearing out wires and pipes. One of Roy's most exciting additions is Erin Rooney, who provides thoughtful advice and sketches while sweeping the clients around town and offering her input on a dizzying array of building materials, hardware, and glass. You really feel taken care of on the New Creations team--they have a gift for taking your vision in the form of magazine clippings, your favorite photos on Houzz, and vague descriptions (think, ""modern but traditional,"" ""light and open but private,"" etc. I think I would have slapped myself if I were them) and turning them into coherent, thoughtful design.\r \r We are in love with our new home and that is largely attributable to Roy and his team. I appreciate the consistency with which they deliver beautiful results. Most importantly, we have never felt Roy's attention waver due to the size of our jobs. From the little bathroom remodel to the full home excursion, he has made sure we are taken care of. Cheers to the New Creation team! more

New Creations performed a kitchen remodel for me. They did such a nice job I hired them to do a bathroom remodel a few years later.\r \r Hiring New Creations was a great experience for me both times. From the design all the way through the project completion, they are focused on customer service. \r \r I was extremely happy with the results of each of my remodels. \r \r This is an honest company that does high quality work. Communication was good, workmanship was wonderful, and everyone I interacted with was very friendly. \r \r I strongly recommend New Creations. more

The project of totally rebuilding a kitchen, usually the most complex of all home remodeling experiences, can certainly be a daunting task. The reconstruction of a kitchen means not having the use of what is probably the home's central activity area for many weeks, if not months. Any homeowner considering this upgrade may want to engage in the services of a professional remodeling design team. This team can provide new design choices to consider, access to shopping options not generally available, and can coordinate the multitude of rebuilding activities. Key to the choice of kitchen designers is assessing how effectively you are able to communicate with them regarding your vision for the new kitchen, as well as their level of design expertise and their dependability.\r \r It was with these considerations in mind that we decided to choose the New Creations design team. Roy and Erin really listened to our ideas, and the reasoning behind them, for the new kitchen. Erin's knowledge of many design options helped to guide us towards the end goals we had in mind. The planning stage was iterative and took a few months to ensure that we had nailed down all the salient details prior to starting up the actual rebuilding. The team's resulting new kitchen drawings provided the detailed vision we would be aiming for.\r \r Once the teardown and reconstruction work had begun, the team's professionalism manifested itself in many ways. Roy provided us a link to his scheduling program so we would know what to expect regarding upcoming activities. Apollo, the project manager, ensured that the kitchen area was sealed off, that all the household items in all adjacent spaces were covered in plastic and that an alternative meal preparation area in the dining room was set up. Reconstruction activities were then ongoing: rebuilding the walls, replumbing, laying down the new floor, installation & painting of new cabinets, electrical work for lighting and numerous outlets, an island table with a built-in electrical socket, installation of appliances, building a new venting path to the outside for the stovetop, and many more. \r \r Work proceeded at a reasonable pace. Nevertheless, in any major remodeling project, unexpected issues or delays always emerge. Roy would always respond in these situations and assure us that ""we will make this right"" - words that actually were backed up by the actions needed to address the situations at hand.\r \r After about 3?? months of activity (actually 4 chronological months, allowing for the Christmas break) construction of the new kitchen had progressed far enough along where, in a limited way, we could start using it again. The new appliances and much improved workflow were impressive enough, but with the new floors, cabinets, countertops and light fixtures - well, it just looked amazing, and reflected the commitment by Roy, Erin, Apollo and their team to the high quality of this project. In addition to the kitchen area, there were other home projects that they also helped with, but just suffice it to say here that we greatly appreciated their months-long commitment to a project we will always be proud of. It was a pleasure working with the New Creations design team, and we have no hesitation at all in recommending them for any and all home redesign projects. more

My wife and I have been very pleased to have worked with New Creations on a significant remodeling project on our planned retirement home and would recommend Roy and his associated personnel to anyone. We decided to tackle not only the full remodel of a large kitchen, but also 3 full baths as well as a den and a utility room all at the same time. The scope was large and design details could have been lost, but a focused approach by New Creation's designer Erin on each aspect of the remodel kept us on track and delivered on some great ideas.\r New Creations made effective use of electronic communications which allowed for easy transmittal of concepts that were able to be discussed and integrated into design iterations. Later on during the build the online scheduling program as well as emails kept us abreast of work progress and made communicating simple.\r The demolition started as planned, work progressed in a timely manner and the project was completed on budget. The subcontractors Roy utilizes have been with him for awhile and are excellent. They all paid attention to details, delivered a high quality of workmanship, kept the work place clean and were very pleasant to work with. All in all, our experience with New Creations and Roy's team was very positive, we enjoyed the process and highly recommend him. M&J Long more

Roy and the New Creations team did a fantastic job on a complete bathroom remodel and I highly recommend New Creations for anyone considering a bathroom or kitchen remodel for their home. From the beginning to the end of the process, Roy and his team were very involved and attentive throughout. In the early stages of design, Roy helped me come up with the vision of what I wanted, and they quickly and efficiently created what I now consider the shining star of the house. The New Creations team was also very capable of pivoting quickly on particular items if I wanted a tweak or two along the way. Overall it was a great experience and came at a great price, and I plan on using New Creations for an upcoming kitchen remodel. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/20/2016

Roy Faust and his team at New Creations have excelled in delivering outstanding results in quality, project management, and customer satisfaction through three significant home renovation projects. I am a very particular and detail oriented customer who has approached each project with a definite and unique vision that represents my home and me. Roy and the team respected my input and helped refine the project to make my vision a reality. I feel fortunate to have found New Creations for my renovations: they employ a great team of subcontractors, suppliers, artisans, and specialists (including furniture builders and suppliers who deal with out of the ordinary materials and finishes), which, along with a combination of design and technical knowledge, ensures that my vision can be brought to life.\r \r Roy and the team treated me as a participant in the projects; they listened to my concerns and included me in all aspects of the planning. I felt that they approached my renovations as partners, not just as doing a job; they were as invested in a successful outcome as I was. In any renovation project unforeseen issues occur. When problems did arise Roy and the team provided creative solutions, drawing on their design and technical expertise to maintain the integrity of the project. In lesser hands, the design quality would have been compromised.\r \r New Creations manages projects effectively, maximizing the use of materials, time, and labor to ensure the minimum level of disruption possible during a large renovation. They stand behind their work, are reliable, professional, and honest. I highly value the true team performance from the New Creations crew with respect to coordination, expertise, and process. I am in the process of designing future projects and can?t imagine trusting any one else to deliver the unique designs, reflecting who I am, other than Roy and the New Creations team. Would I recommend New Creations? Yes, with no reservations! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/9/2015

This was my first time to remodel anything. I heard all the horror stories, and entered into the process with trepidation. Roy, Erin and the New Creations team made everything so easy that I really am left wondering what is so bad about remodeling. My new kitchen is absolutely gorgeous. The process was, dare I say...fun?! Most importantly, Roy and the team were on time, on budget and did exactly what they said they would do: deliver a high quality job. I am happy with every detail. Thanks, Roy! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/13/2014

I recently had New Creations remodel 3 bathrooms in my house; a master bath, powder room and guest bath. It was a complicated project since were doing 3 bathrooms at once however; it was made easy by working with Roy and his team. What I liked about working with them was the attention to detail and the fact that they truly care if the project is done right and to your satisfaction. We have done several remodeling projects in the past in our house with other contractors that we had to manage and coordinate getting the work done. It was great working with New Creations in that they are truly a turnkey company and completely managed all aspects of the project from start to finish. This was the least stressful remodel that we have done in the house. \r Roy and his team spend a lot of time up front making sure the design of each room met not only our needs aesthetically but also on a practical level. This helps to reduce the actual construction time because everything is planned, ordered and ready to go and you are not having to make rush decisions as the project is going on to meet construction deadlines. Once the project began the team was very careful to protect my walls and floors as well as tried as best as they could to keep it as clean as possible. I was very happy with how all three of my bathrooms turned out and cannot wait to work with New Creations on our kitchen next. \r more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/5/2014

New Creations just finished an amazing remodel of our kitchen and family room. The entire process, particularly the finished product, far exceeded our expectations. Roy is a joy to work with, and his design assistant Erin gave us fabulous ideas. Roy really means it when he says ""how can we serve you""? Roy kept in touch with us almost daily through email, phone or text, and was never too busy to discuss our needs. Any anxiety we had starting the project dissolved as we realized Roy and his team’s main concern was making sure we loved our new spaces – and we do!!\r We have now been working in our new kitchen for almost a month and I love it more every day. Small issues discovered have been addressed immediately though the project is ended – something I have not experienced before. When we remodeled our master bath several years ago, we were never able to get the contractor to come back and fix pretty big issues and ended up having to hire someone else. \r The entire team at New Creations is professional and takes great pride in their work. Apollo Is the master of all trades- there is nothing that man can't do. James, Greg, Gerardo, Wes and our wonderful painters - thank you!!! \r Nancy more

Amazing......love, love our new kitchen and New Creations. \r \r New Creations kept us updated daily, met their timeline as scheduled and the staff was responsive, professional and personable. One of the best things they offer is an invite for you to view their project schedule. The schedule shows daily who is to come out and what work is to be done. Troy keep it updated daily to follow up on any carryovers. This on-line scheduler is a wonderful way to keep everyone informed and since our project lasted four weeks it was very helpful. I love organization so for me this tool was the BEST!!\r \r In Summary, Roy helped us plan and design the perfect kitchen. Then, Troy who was always on site kept everyone and everything going. Both Roy and Troy reflect New Creations as a company with high integrity and great pride.\r \r New Creations was one of the best team I have ever worked with!! I highly recommend this company.\r more

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/30/2014

We hired New Creations to remodel our kitchen. They came recommended by friends here in Jester Estates and we loved their kitchen. Roy was very accommodating of our schedule and could meet with us in the evening which was a huge plus. This was our first remodeling project and Roy and Troy made it stress free for us. The project was completed on time and on budget with no change orders - that's good planning. Their team of cabinet makers, painters, appliance, tile and granite professionals were all a pleasure to work with. They worked hard to keep our house clean during construction and the workmanship was very high quality. I did use a designer, Kimball Bonamici, to help with a few elements and that worked out well. We love our new kitchen and highly recommend New Creations. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 2/9/2014

We worked with New Creations to do a complete kitchen remodel, and a refresh of a laundry room and powder room. We are very pleased not only with the results, but the entire process from design to completion.\r \r Roy is the business owner and handles the sales and design aspects of projects. Roy is a very honest person and was always up front and forthcoming about what options would cost. He also is very good at planning a job to make sure everything runs smoothly. On the project design, Roy was always very enthusiastic and was a pleasure to work with. He was able to understand our vision of what we wanted and use his expertise to make it better than we ever could have done on our own. He was always working on new ideas, whether it was dropping off new tile samples that he was excited about, or sweating the details on the perfect paint colors. We appreciated the personal attention and passion that Roy put into our project.\r \r Troy is the project manager and is responsible for the construction, schedule, and quality of the job. We couldn't have asked for a better person to work with than Troy. He was always on top of every single detail, and it was clear that he took the schedule and job quality very seriously. Whenever we would ask him a question or give feedback, he would always make sure to take care of it; I can't think of a single time when Troy forgot something that I had talked to him about. Troy is a very nice person who knows how to get things done on time with a level of quality that he would expect in his own house.\r \r Our job came in on time and on budget. Everyone we worked with was professional and friendly. The results were everything we wanted, and for a job this big it ran very smoothly. We will definitely be working with New Creations on our next remodeling project. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/29/2014

We had a great experience with Roy Faust, Troy and everyone at New Creations. They are professional, communicate extremely well and do fantastic work.\r \r We totally remodeled our kitchen and breakfast area and could not be happier with the outcome. We plan to do a complete bath and closet remodel later in the year and will definitely use Roy and his crew again.\r \r They listened to everything we wanted to do. Made very useful suggestions/improvements to our designs. Drew up a very complete budget and plan for the remodel and walked us through all the steps ahead of time. We really are very happy with the method, quality, quickness and professionalism of everyone they brought in. \r \r UPDATE - the Travertine they installed in the kitchen soon looked terrible. I mentioned this a few times but Roy seemed to think it was normal. Thankfully I called a company called StoneCare of Texas.. They were wonderful and came out.. and filled the holes in the travertine (where dirt was collecting) and polished it up. It looks great now.. but it is very clear what a quality company can do with floors.. I am disappointed that I way overpaid for this service and really did not get the quality that I thought I was paying for.\r \r I do not recommend using them despite my early posting. I posted to quick at Roy's insistence that I put reviews up when I can..\r \r I also do not recommend using Roy or anyone he recommends as a designer. if you do use New Creations -- find your own designer.. I felt pressured, didn't feel like I had the support I paid for in picking tile and patterns. I do not recommend going with Roy's designs. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 9/6/2013

Excellent experience with Roy and Troy as we did our first ever complete kitchen renovation. Very well organized process for seeing us from start to finish with the project. Very experienced team that handled everything, even small hiccups, with professionalism and a focus on getting things done the right way. Always available to discuss alternatives in the structural design and help to come up with the best solution. Very flexible in accepting our interior design choices as we consulted with our own interior designer. Very happy with the results - a larger, beautiful, and very functional kitchen! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 5/25/2013

Our home was built in 1982. The primary purpose of our project was to completely remodel the kitchen to create a brighter more functional space and update all the appliances. A makeover of the adjacent dining room was also planned.\r \r We have been through several small remodeling projects during 27 years in our home and neither of us relished the idea of trying to find suitable contractors or acting as project managers and on-site supervisors again.\r \r New Creations Custom Kitchen and Bath solved that problem for us. We were impressed before our very first meeting when Roy Faust called us to say he would be ten minutes late and “would that be alright?” \r \r New Creations is a high end custom remodeling company offering “turn key” kitchen and bath remodeling services. Their goal is to provide outstanding service and craftsmanship. They didn’t over sell, they did what they promised. \r \r From the design process through tear down and construction, everyone involved with the project was professional and considerate of the fact they were working in our home. Since we live with twelve indoor only cats, that was of special importance to us.\r \r In fact, being “cat resistant” was a major design concern for our kitchen. Roy spent a lot of time learning about our lifestyle as part of his design process. Unlike some designers, he does not try to force his vision on you, but rather tries to pull your ideas out and help you make the decisions. \r \r He is not afraid to suggest bold ideas and if he doesn’t like something, he will tell you. He makes the design process collaborative and fun and is not afraid to consult with another designer to make something perfect.\r \r A highly detailed approach to planning the project with the goal of having all materials on hand prior to starting is an important part of the company’s success. Taking that approach minimizes the risk of delay and allows the customer to see the chosen products before they are installed.\r \r An on-site meeting with all contractors several weeks prior to the planned start date allowed us to meet each of them in person and gave them a chance to evaluate the workspace. \r \r That meeting revealed we would need to upgrade our electric service for the cooktop and convection oven we planned to install and allowed plenty of time to have the work done prior to the project start date.\r \r We were informed there would inevitably be problems along the way, but for us not to worry, they would solve the problems. Again, that is exactly what they did. \r \r New Creations constantly tries to improve their process. Project manager, Troy Hester, was continually on site seeking solutions to every problem and soliciting our input. \r \r The on line system used to schedule contractors and keep customers informed works well and Troy quickly responded to every email inquiry or phone call we made.\r \r We can’t say enough about the craftsmen working for New Creations. Their focus was always on delivering a quality product and satisfying the customer. Compromises sometimes must be made because original house construction is rarely perfect. In fact, I’m not sure there is a square or plumb wall in our house! \r \r However, through it all, Roy, Troy and everyone involved in our project went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the results. Working with New Creations was a marvelous experience. We would recommend them without hesitation. The completed kitchen is even better then we imagined it would be.\r more

Editorial review from Citysearch 5/15/2013

Roy and Troy of New Creations provided a total demo and remodel of our kitchen, including exterior wall work. We changed a door/bay window into a sliding door, took down upper cabinets to open the kitchen to the family room, and widened doorways. All new custom cherry cabinets and soapstone countertops. New electrical box in garage and outside, new lighting and electrical plugs/switches. New Creations was the general contractor and planned everything out and assisted with the general design and features.\r \r The entire remodel took 8 weeks. During that time the space was always kept clean and tidy. The space they used in our garage for various items was always clean and well organized. Every subcontractor they brought in was professional, polite, punctual, and answered all my questions with a good attitude. They had all done work for New Creations before and knew their expectations for a clean and professional job. Troy was always checking the work and making sure things were done as close to perfect as possible. If something was off, he would have the contractor come back in and change/fix it until it was what we wanted. Those were all very minor issues. Apollo, their tile guy, is amazing and really takes pride in his work. The online scheduling software they use, BaseCamp, really helps you understand what's scheduled for each day, who will be there, what outstanding questions there were or materials left to be chosen. Nothing was ever forgotten or accidentally left off the list. Roy and Troy always responded to emails and calls promptly and always had a positive attitude. They let me see 2 jobs they had completed (and speak to the homeowners) and one job that was nearing completion. It really helped me feel confident and trust that they would do a great job with our kitchen - and they did! We love our new kitchen! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 5/1/2013

Roy and Troy were very open about the renovation process and worked diligently with our timeline. We appreciated their input towards the kitchen design to guide us to our ideal kitchen while staying within our budget. They provided an online calendar for us to know when work was expected to be completed (i.e. cabinet install, countertop measurements, etc). They have a great team behind them as well. Our expectations were certainly met & we would recommend this company to others. more

A GREAT REMODELING EXPERIENCE!!! 5/1/2013

The New Creations staff made our remodel project such a pleasant experience. Our extensive project included the entire living level of our home, including the kitchen, in addition to a bathroom upstairs. We appreciated the fact that the dust and debris were kept to a minimum during demolition and there were never construction items left outside our home. Our project manager was always available to respond to any questions or issues that arose. The subcontractors were courteous and did great work. As with any remodel, there were a few challenges, but our project manager met those challenges with a positive attitude and always found a solution. There were many times that he went far beyond the call of duty to make sure our vision became a reality and always did his best to stay within our budget. \r \r Our home is now even more beautiful and functional than we could ever have imagined. We would definitely recommend New Creations to anyone wanting to do a remodel project. \r \r Even though our project was completed in May, 2011, Roy continues to contact us every six months to see if there is any touch-up or repairs that need to be done. Not only does this make us even more comfortable with his work, but it is also great to visit with him. He and his staff became such a big part of our lives during the project, that we actually missed them when it was over. They not only do a great job, but they're good people.\r \r We highly recommend New Creations to anyone considering a remodel project, and we will certainly call them if we decide to do another remodel. more

Amazing Kitchen Remodeling from a Highly Ethical Company 4/29/2013

In 2008 we fully remodeled our kitchen with New Creations and earlier this year our two bathrooms were completely redone with fantastic results. Working with Roy on the design details and Troy at the project site was very enjoyable and even when issues arose they ALWAYS worked to resolve them with the customers best interests in mind. Both the kitchen and the bathrooms are unique, customized to our needs, impressive in quality, and will significantly increase our houses value. Thanks again to New Creations for the great work you do. Pros: Great Service, great quality for the price, outstanding follow-up even months after the project, solid team Cons: Bigger projects require more of you managment time (Not really a con; just understand the scope of their work) more

Owner Message
  • New Creations Custom Kitchen and Bath began because of a love of remodeling. I got the urge to start my own company when I realized there was a tremendous void in the current remodeling industry. Contractors had developed a reputation for being dishonest with their clients and abusive to our environment. I felt that no company really embodied a passion for design nor had a strategic system to deliver their plan. I had the idea of creating a remodeling company that worked hard to protect our environment, developed comprehensive systems for project management, and offered selection and designing processes for the client to ensure a great experience.
