Please learn from our experience with this company. We went away on a trip in March 2012 and while we were gone our sewer backed up causing lots of damage. Our daughter called Neerings who told her we needed a complete replacement. They wanted $25,000 to do it. We said we couldn't afford that much. They said they could do it for about $18,000 including their initial work, with a few modifications. We signed up and they replaced our sewer line. Last week, (May 2013) the same spot backed up with more damage. I called and complained. It turns out that the sewer was not completely replaced as they said. Only the part outside the house was replaced. And they said they are not liable because it has been more than a year since they did the work. Live and learn. more

Neerings is a racket and a ripoff! Do NOT have them do any work unless you understand exactly what you are having done. I had them at my house already to service an AC unit. I had them bid putting in a new valve on the main water line inside the house that was leaking. They wanted to charge $650!! Called a friend who is a plumber and he said it was a 20 minute job max...\r \r Then I had them bid ""installing"" my dish washer that I had just delivered. $450!! I pulled it out myself and hooked up the water line and the disposal line and 3 minutes later I was done.\r \r If you have kids that need money for their college education DO NOT CALL NEERINGS... more

The prices are high, but the work is high quality. I would rather pay more for the job to be done right, then pay a lower cost for cheap work. more

Obviously many of the previous comments are employees of Neerings just making it seem that Neerings is such a wonderful place. $400.00 for 15 min. job. What a rip off. When I called to complain, I was told how long they have been around and they wouldn't be around so long if their prices were not fair and that i agreed to the price. When I saw the price, I assumed that I really had a big mess on my hands. I trusted that they would be honest with me for the work that needed to be done. I was wrong to trust them. Less than 15 mins later they were done. If you choose to use this wonderful company's services, ask plenty of questions about what needs to be done, do not just trust them. When I have an unhappy customer, I fix it so my customer is happy. Not these guys. They've been around a long time so I guess repeat customers are not what keeps them around. Neerings, you should feel bad to have even one unhappy customer. eric newell more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I do not write reviews; however, my experience was so rotten, I'm now signing up on review sites so someone else does not fall into this same trap!\r \r My basement flooded caused from blockage in the sewer line. Needless to say, not fun. Neerings came out the next day to ""clear the line"" and to send a camera through the pipe to see the cause. Not only did they charge me $584 for clearing the line and the camera, but then they told me my sewer line collapsed in the middle of the road. Their quote to fix it...a whopping $23,224!!! Ya right! \r \r When Neering's plumbers left, I called another plumbing company who told me if there truly was a break in the road, it would cost $6500. He also told me to get a second opinion by Electric Rooter. They came that afternoon, charged me only $345 to clean and camera my line. Comes to find out, my ""clean out"" wasn't cleared at all and super backed up. Electric Rooter cleared the clean out and continued to run the camera through the remainder of the sewer line out into the street. MY SEWER LINE WAS COMPLETELY FINE!!!! There was absolutely, NO reason to repair the sewer line. \r \r Neerings flat out lied and wanted to charge $23,224 for an unnecessary fix! more

2-12-13\r \r I also signed up just to write a review about there over pricing. My wife was quoted $714.00 to change a small ball vavle outside the house with easy access. I was willing to pay up to $120 to do the job being that i did it before 5years ago for $8.00 so i didnt miss work and lose wages that would have been about the $120.00 . They are a huge ripe off!!!!! I came home bought my $8.00 part from England Plumbing( there great!) and changed a 1/2"" ball vavle in 20 minutes. They are what greed stands for! more

Major Rip Off - DO NOT CALL THEM!\r \r A 79-year old lady who is a friend of ours called Neerings to fix a bathtub faucet that was leaking at her condo. It wasn't an emergency. She just couldn't get the water to turn off all the way. \r \r She looked in the phone book and saw the BBB label and thought ""they are probably honest."" \r \r She called at 7:30AM. They said they were pretty busy but would definitely be there before 3:00 PM. At 3:30 PM she called to see if they were coming. They said they had just finished a job and would be there soon. An hour later, at 4:30 they arrived. They replaced the cartridge (maybe $10 to $20 part at Home Depot). It took the repair guy less than TEN MINUTES to put the part in (and about 20 minutes to find where to shut-off the water). They were out-the-door-and-gone by 5:00 PM. \r \r No more than 30 minutes total! \r \r They charged her $465.00\r \r Total time 30 minutes.\r Total parts $15\r Total Charge: $465\r \r That's $900 per hour! \r \r DO NOT CALL NEERINGS... this job should have cost between $125 than $150 max. I hate it when a business happily rips off an old lady. But judging from the reviews on this thread, they believe in equal opportunity.\r \r DON'T BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM. more
