Mr Handyman

We called Mr. Handyman to have them hang a ceiling-mounted child's hammock swing. My husband called and scheduled the appointment but I believe they were able to come out either the next day or within two days of the call. The guy who came was friendly and professional, the job only took about 30 minutes and they charge for the first hour; I thought it was a bit expensive but I found other things he could help me with that I couldn't do myself, like putting in screens and etc. more

I give Mr. Handyman a five out of five stars because they did a very nice job! The man who installed our railing was very courteous and didn't fool around. He got the work done in a short amount of time. The railing has been installed for a couple of weeks now, it's very study, and that's what we needed to do. I would absolutely recommend them. If I had to, I would use them again. They did a very nice job. more

I had seen a Mr. Handyman van around town somewhere. So, when I needed some help at home, I looked him up online and called him to repair some drywall for me, and a dishwasher. When I made the appointment, the guy had given me a quote for 2 hrs. The guy that came out was very honest and finished the job in less than 2 hours. He noticed that a floor panel had was coming up off the floor. He took the initiative and went ahead and fixed it. He saved me a lot of money. more

The professionalism and communication was amazing. I've been using Mr. Handyman for the last five years, and they have done many things for us. This past time they came in to do some repairs so that I could get my house on the market. Before that, we hired them to replace a chimney for us. If you need a handyman, I highly recommend them. I just have to say that the guys that came out from Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG were very professional and they definitely knew what they were doing. They came in and took care of the things that I wanted done in a very timely and efficient manner. The price was ok but the work was so well done that I really cannot complain. Our experience with Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG was good. We had them come out and do the exterior trim on our townhouse. It's mostly brick, so they came and did the front door, the back door, the garage door, and a few other spots around the place. This is the second time we have used their services. They came and patched up our basement ceiling. They did a good job. Their prices are comparable with other places that do the same work. Both time we used them, they came in at estimate or under. We will use them again in the future, the customer service is good, very professional. I will recommend them to others. The guy that came out to my home from Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG did a very good job. I had a list of things that I asked him to do and he was able to get everything done on my list in a very timely and efficient manner. All of the work was very well done and I have had absolutely no issues which is why I would give them five stars all the way across the board. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and would definitely not hesitate to use their services again in the future. more

Mr. Handyman repaired a shed door/permanent structure, and they were very professional and very personable. That they basically showed up was a selling point, because I had scheduled this work twice before with two different handyman companies that came out to do the estimate--but never returned to do the work. Mr. Handyman showed up in the time frame they said, and the handyman was very insightful and helpful. more

I've hired Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG several times to do projects around my house. They've installed a lock on a door to a crawlspace and removed a birds nest from my roof. They've power washed my house, removed molding on a floor that had come loose and installed a folding door on a closet. They've always been prompt, courteous, and efficient which is why I continue to use Mr. Handyman. They charge by the hour and I think they're worth the cost. They always do what they say they're going to do and I highly recommend them! more

I just have to say that everything was great with the guy from Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG from start to finish. He arrived on time and introduced himself and then got right to work. He just went from task to task with little to no lag time between tasks which we really appreciated. He was very pleasant and businesslike, and he definitely knew what he was doing because he just knocked each task out quickly and efficiently. We had so many things for him to do and he was able to finish all of them in just four hours which is nothing short of incredible. We've had several things done by Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG and they were excellent. They've done shutter replacements, window caulking, and dry wall repair. Phillip has been our tech every single time and he is enthusiastic, agile, and quick. We will use Mr. Handyman again and ask for Phillip. I would recommend them because their quotes are reasonable and they do quality work. I was very dissatisfied with the pricing/customer serve of Mr. Handyman (Anne Arundel). First, I scheduled work to be done two weeks in advance, but when we called prior to the date they had no record of our appointment. Second, we were quoted a price in the $400 range to patch and paint a hole from a previous plumbing repair. In the end the total was over $600 of which $305 was for painting and sanding! I find the disparity between the initial quote and final price alarming! I will not be using Mr. Mr. Handyman again. RESPONSE FROM Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG: Very sorry to hear of these concerns, but I do feel the need to clarify a couple of points. The customer's initial inquiry was to check our prices and our availability. He noted that he would call back and confirm. When he called back, he was distressed that he was not on the schedule. We did not schedule an appointment for him because he was uncertain when we spoke if he wanted to proceed with the appointment. When the customer complained that he needed the schedule "that he had been promised", we rearranged our schedule to accommodate his need. We re-iterated the cost of a service call ($276 for two hours plus materials) and the fact that two service calls would be needed. We then confirmed our rates in an email and again onsite before starting any work. Again, very sorry that the customer was not clear about our rates or the time that was needed to complete the job. Especially sorry that he did not feel he received good value for his investment. But to be clear, we absolutely did not quote one price and charge another. more

Mr. Handyman was great and arrived right on time to do exactly what we asked for with a very good attitude. He fixed two doors and had a willingness to get the job done, and to get it done right with all the right tools. I would use them again. more

I had a birds nest on the top of my dryer exhaust vent and the vents were so high, I was unable to reach it. I'm terrified of heights so I called Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel based on the recommendation of my daughter-in-law and they came quickly and were there at the time they said they would arrive. The guy they sent was very kind and did everything I expected him to do. He put a plastic cover on the vents so this wouldn't happen again. Overall, I was thrilled with how fast and convenient it was. I'm not sure about the price however, because it seemed a little high. Their promptness, convenience and friendliness was worth it though and Jim did a terrific job of taking care of the situation. I would like to use them again for a bigger job like remodeling, but I would have to shop around and compare prices and see if they would price match. more

Philip from Mr. Handyman did some handy work in the store and was prompt, clean when he was in the store, and cleaned up after himself. He was quick and got the work done on time at a good price. He installed a decal and fixed my front door, reinforced some standards into the wall, and changed all my light bulbs--about 40--over to LED. Besides the main things, he also looked at and fixed the back door to the office and, when fixing the front door, put on a weathering strip. more

Mr. Handyman was fantastic. We had a number of miscellaneous jobs that took the handyman 2 hours to do. He replaced the ceiling fan and did caulking; and, the stair railing had come loose, so he had to secure that. He also installed safety grab bars in the tub/shower area in two of the bathrooms. Everything went fine--from making appointments to the handyman's punctuality. I would certainly recommend them and I would certainly use them again. more

The people of Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG really helped me out with some stuff around the house that was starting to break down. The guy they sent out to my home replaced a door jam for me and also fixed a problem I was having with some of my front facing windows. The guy was very nice and professional and made the whole process easy and comfortable. He did a great job and the issues I was having are no more! more

I hired Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG because I had a roof ridge vent cap loose on top of my roof. Every time the wind blew, it went flat. They had to go to the store to get supplies. They told me when it was put up there that they didn't use the proper seal, so he used screws and then put some seal over that. We had no issues. I had to replace a patio door but I ran into some issues when trying to put in the new door. I called over to the guys at Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel & NE PG and they were able to help me. They scheduled a time to come out to my home and were right on time which I really appreciated. Once the guy got started, he realized he had to fix the latch holes in the door. He was able to do this quickly and efficiently, the whole process took him no more than 30 minutes. I now have a nice new functioning patio door and it is all thanks to these guys. I would definitely recommend them if you are struggling with any form of repair, they are great. more
