surprisingly good 7/13/2004

I just moved to the area, so I've been trying out different places to find restaurants that I can rely on for good food. A friend and I dined in Mirabelle's on a whim during lunch and I had a mediocre tuna burger with great fries. However, the apple tart is absolutely wonderful. The wait staff is generally friendly, but it does take a little while to get their attention even when it's not busy. I totally recommend trying dinner there - the angel hair dish is absolutely delicious. The prices are very reasonable, the quality of the food is great, and the atmosphere is amazing. Try dining in the covered patio area when it's not too hot outside for a cozy and relaxing meal. Pros: prices, food more

pretty OK 2/13/2004

I've only been to Mirabelle for lunch, but I go pretty often (once a week). Mirabelle chop salad is a fave, as well as their ahi tuna burger with sweet potato fries, and their french onion soup is very traditional and tasty. The only bad thing about Mirabelle is the service. There's one or two servers in particular who are not only slow, but unprofessional. Slouching against the table when taking an order, and an overall sense of boredom. It's hit or miss big as there are a couple of decent servers as well. Pros: food, ambience more

Show & Tell for the Kids..... 7/27/2003

While i found the decore very nice, the food was definetly lacking and not what i ordered. When i informed the waiter he said he would get he manager. After 30 or so minutes waiting, I asked where the manager was he informed me they were on the ""other side"" I walked to the other side of the resturant and seen the apparant managers a younger male and female talking with an older b-rated celeb. Obviously not interested in what there customers concerns are. Would highly Not recommend this resturant unless you lust for dissappointment. Pros: Decore Cons: Bad Food, Bad Service, Worthless Managers more

NEW FAN 6/20/2002

My husband and I went to Mirabelle's, Saturday, for drinks. We sat at the bar in the indoor patio. The view of sunset was great! The service was OUTSTANDING and so were the happy hour "Cosmo Martini's." The "flourless chocolate cake" melts in your mouth! We plan on going again soon for dinner. Pros: Indoor pation, Friendly Bartenders, Drinks more

Scrumptious! 5/19/2002

Mirabelle is a hip oasis from the madness of the Sunset Strip. The elegant decor creates a romantic atmosphere but the bar can be an equally great place to meet friends for a drink. The wine list is strong and reasonably priced. Desserts are a must so save room after you enjoy the ahi or the seafood pasta. more

Mirabelle a Must 5/16/2002

Tucked away on Sunset Blvd, Mirabelle offers a sexy experience for those looking to romance a cocktail or wind down with friends. The indoor patio is fabulous and the food is out of this world. I definitely recommend the seared pepper Ahi. more

  • The Scene
Walk down the handful of steps at this Sunset standby and enter a world of elegant dining with a touch of kitsch--Andy Warhol would dig the '80s-inspired lip-shaped sculpture. The glitzy pre-nightclub set sticks to the bar, while industry-ites and B-list celebs clutter the adjoining open-air restaurant and patio. Fresh seafood, daily oyster specials and classic entrees are the backbone of the American bistro fare. Jalapeno-spiced calamari is served with forgettable cocktail sauce, but the meaty blue crab cakes paired with tangy papaya relish and sweet chili butter are a hit. As an entree, tasty herb-encrusted Chilean sea bass, served on a bed of ratatouille, is a fish-lover's dream. The generous slab of grilled New York sirloin couldn't find a better companion than truffle mashed potatoes. Lamb lovers will enjoy the Colorado rack, simmered in its own rich juices and served atop a creamy pistachio risotto.
