Merle Norman of Brentwood Cosmetics & Day Spa

I have been a customer at Merle Norman of Brentwood for the past 7 Years. Never would I consider going anywhere else for my facials,waxing, skin care products and makeup.\r The entire staff is super friendly, helpful and very professional!\r Everyone there is up to date on the latest spa techniques and skin care products!\r The store and the spa area are warm and inviting. The staff treats you like a family member.\r In addition to my once a month facial and waxing with Sonya I stop in just to visit with them often. I call the salon my ""Women Cave"" because I can go there to relax and unwind!\r My skin at 56 years old looks better and feels better than it did 7 years ago. Having monthly facials and using quality products has really made a difference in my skin!\r Ditch the drug store and department store products and try Merle Norman. I have been going to Merle Norman of Brentwood for years and love all of the staff. I had bad experiences with Merle Norman out in Cool Springs so switched to the Brentwood location. I get facials and massages and have never had any complaints. Andrea and Sonja are both excellent aestheticians and Toni is a great massage therapist. I go every month and usually give gift certificates to my friends in order for them to pamper themselves. Highly recommend! more

All business will have unhappy customers. But I am not one of them! I have been going to Merle Norman for 7+ years and always look forward to returning. The staff is great! I personally see Andrea Bowden, Ani, for facials. I once went to another place of business for a facial and there is no comparison to Ani's work! I refuse to go anywhere else. I highly recommend Merle Norman to anyone woman wishing to be pampered and relax this is the place to go! more

I have been a customer for about 11 years with Merle Norman of Brentwood.\r \r Recently I have had several bad experiences with both the owner and the employees....\r When you walk into the store, the owner and staff seem to have an attitude of being frustrated that you are even there. The owner especially has a negative attitude and will not even smile at you! She can easily cause you to feel like you should have never walked in her store!! I thought they were in the business of sales???\r \r Also, they constantly change their prices. They go up on the price of products without any price tags or display showing the price. Basically, they will sell you product with the price of the day!!\r \r And, if you have to return an item from a huge allergic reaction to a Merle Norman product, forget it! I had this happen with a lotion and they would not take it back. Merle Norman products have been around for years, and I am surprised that they do not back their products.\r \r So, think twice before doing business here. There are other Merle Norman stores in the area. May be best to try one of them.\r \r more

I purchased a Brazilian wax groupon and I am so glad that I did! It was my first 'down there' wax and Tiffany made me feel comfortable in what could be an awkward situation. She was very friendly and professional. I booked my next one with her before I left! more

I have been to this day spa several times within the last year. I have gone in for waxing services, facials & massages. The staff is friendly and professional. They are also knowledgeable about the products and service recommendations. I especially love to book appointments with Tiffany! more

My experience was very similar to Thea's, previous review. \r \r I am new to the area and wanted to find a place where I could get regular facials. When the groupon came out I thought this would be a great opportunity to try Merle Norman.\r Boy was I disappointed. \r When I went into the business, the staff was dry and was emotionless. \r The AESTHETICIAN was nice. But she barely touched my skin. She did no extractiions. The room environment was very relaxing. When I got home I noticed I still had a small amount of eye shadow on.\r \r I will say the person scheduling the appointment was very accomodating. I was unable to get in when I wanted so she put me on the waiting list and kept me updated of cancellations.\r \r I was still willing to overlook this experience nad let them know how I felt. I had purchased multiple groupons. I later realized I couldn't use it for another facial but could use it for a massage. I decide not to try another service and be disappointed so I just asked Groupon for a refund on my unused groupon. Needless to say, I did find a great place for a facial. Unfortunately, it wasn't Merle Norman. more

I have been a customer of the Merle Norman in Brentwood since they opened their doors and have always had an extremely positive experience. The staff are always friendly and greet me as soon as I enter the store. Their products are wonderful and for someone who has had some trouble with finding skin products that work for me, the aestheticians were able to find exactly what my skin needed. Every time I have received a facial, they know me and they know my skin; therefore, my skin glows! I have had makeup done by their artists periodically over the years for different events, including my own wedding, and I could not be happier with how beautiful I looked on that day. Their makeup line is fantastic and it's not too much which is what is great in this day and age. I know that it is safe to use on my sensitive skin and won't cause break outs like a lot of drug store brands will. Overall, Merle Norman and their staff are wonderful and I will tell anyone to call them and book an appointment today! I've recommended them for years to friends and strangers a like and have never heard one negative comment. Surely, you can't complain about getting an hour or so of relaxation to make a day go just a little bit better! more

So...this is my third update on this salon. Let me start by saying I would definetely recommend this salon to others, and have told many of the women I work with to swing by for an excellent facial...\r This is kind of a long story, but here it goes....I had been looking for a place near work for facials and whatnot, and tried this salon with a groupon. My experience was not the best, so emailed the owner, not really thinking anything about it, other than that my mother is a small business owner and I know she would welcome feedback about any of her therapists from clients if it were affecting her business. The owner ended up emailing me back and asking if I would come back and try a facial (on the house) from one of her seasoned staff members, or even herself. It took me a while to get back in there, but I am so. glad. I. did. \r At the owner's suggestion, I specifically scheduled with Tiffany. Most of the time, a facial is just a facial...you know, pore cleansing, light massage and then the painful, bright part where they extract. This facial had all of the above, but was somehow soooo relaxing. I don't know if it was the hand massage or what, but this esthetician was very good. We all get the hum-drum hand massages when we get our nails done, and they really don't feel like much, but hers was very good. Her facial massage is great as well. She pressed on all those points (like the temples) that make you instantly zone out in relaxation. She was also very good about asking if I was okay during the extractions, even though there really is no unpainful way to have that done, it helped that she cared to ask LOL. I was having a hard day and ambience of that downtime really turned my day around. \r On the skincare side, it's always hard to tell if it was good until you get home. Over the next few days after my facial, I noticed that my skin looked fantastic. Everything was very uncongested and kind of glow-y. \r My skin will never be perfect but it can be helped immeasurably by the hand of a skilled esthetician. Tiffany at Merle Norman Brentwood is just that. \r \r I will be going back as soon as my schedule permits to have another facial with Tiffany, and to try their lash tinting. Besides offering great services, I think one of the most important things a business can do is be attentive to its customers. I had no expectation I would receive a complimentary service to address my concerns. If a company offers great service consistently and wants to make ensure a customer has a great experience when something slips through the cracks, that speaks volumes. What I experienced the first time was obviously not up to par with the standards to which this salon holds itself. To be on the safe side, I would recommend asking for Tiffany, as I can vouch that she is excellent and I don't remember the name of the first girl I had, I just know she was new. Plus, I see another review recommending her for a bikini wax, so I'm pretty sure she'd be good at whatever she does. \r Also, it should be noted that this is Merle Norman of BRENTWOOD. There is a Merle Norman in Cool Springs that is completely different and is not the salon that I am recommending (although I have been to both). \r \r ( more
