Rude Receptionist 9/2/2010

I went to Medi -Help because I had been suffering with a cold for over a week and it was not going away. I was getting married the following weekend and needed it to go away ASAP! I walked in the door around 8pm knowing that they didnt close until 9 and figured they would have plenty of time to treat my cold. As soon as I walked in the door the receptionist said ""what do you need!"" So I told her about my cold and that I was getting married in a week but she could have cared less. She told me they were not taking any more patients because they leave at 9 and she was clocking out. She told me I could make an appointment the next day but that it would have to be in the afternoon because they were too busy in the morning. I asked what times they had available amd she said ""well im not going to read you the whole book!"" I could not believe she was being so rude so I told her that I didnt want an appointment and that I was going somewhere else. I went to MedExpress in Greentree and they were wonderful. I will never go to Medi-Help again. more

Unacceptable treatment - DANGEROUS 6/7/2010

I just finished composing a lengthy letter of complain to Medi-Help detailing my husband's and my horrifying experiences. My husband had a facial infection, which the doctor told him he would culture. Despite being billed for it, the culture was not done. A week later another infection developed while we were out of town, and we sought treatment at an immediate care clinic where they diagnosed a resistant bacteria, which should have been caught by Medi-Help's culture. They treated with an antibiotic directed at resistant bacteria, and called us back a day later with the culture result - MRSA. When a THIRD infection developed, we foolishly went to Medi-Help, where the incompetent doctor thought nothing of it, despite the history of painful and embarrassing facial infections, and prescribed amoxicillin, WHICH MRSA IS ENTIRELY RESISTANT TO! Rather than wasting time and money on a drug useless to treating the problem, we made an appointment with a dermatologist who treated the series of infections aggressively, eliminating the problem entirely and quickly. Keep in mind MRSA is a very dangerous bacteria which could have been a lot worse, especially gone undiagnosed as it was at Medi-Help! We also didn't even get a referral from the doctor to a physician who would know how to treat this - we sought the dermatologist on our own! During on of those appointments, my husband showed the doctor a mass of tissue that had begun growing in his groin. Demonstrating a lack of rudimentary diagnostic skills, the doctor said it was nothing. Recently, when this started causing my husband pain, our new PCP diagnosed a hernia! This could have been taken care of a LONG time ago, but is now causing my husband pain, and he's having surgery this week, at a horribly busy time for my with my job, instead of us being able to schedule it at our convenience had we known before the pain. Billing is another problem - they waited NINE MONTHS to bill our insurance and are now demanding that we pay ADDITIONALLY for the incompetent ""treatment"" he received. Incompetent, unacceptable, unprofessional, and uncaring. Pros: We were attracted her due to hours Cons: Incompetent doctors, untimely billing more

HORRIBLE! DO NOT GO TO MEDI HELP 3/26/2010

I went for a bruise on my leg (I was worried about a blood clot). The doctor looked at it, told me it was a bug bite, and then ordered an X-RAY! AN X RAY for crying out loud. Who needs an x-ray for a bug bite? He merely wanted to charge my insurance company. I didn't let him, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Seriously, unless you want to be unnecessarily charged by doctors who have no business treating anyone, don't go there. Go to the ER--play it safe. Pros: cost for xrays Cons: filthy office, incompetent staff, horrible doctors more

Billing more inportant than ethics 2/1/2010

Dr Janicijevic's billing practices are far more through than his treatment of patients. His standard practice is each patient gets 15 minutes and his staff must be sure that this pace is met. He does not meet the needs of his patients but merely prescribes medication to treat the symptoms and readily sends patients to the desk to make yet another appointment in the very near future. He prays on the elderly and has them come in for check-ups every 3-4 weeks. Excessive! Cons: Being rushed through no real treatment more

Come Here only if you WANT TO BE SICK ! 10/7/2009

This place may be convenient for those in need around the Bethel, Mt.lebo area, but its not worth it. What I observed I would rather wait at the hospital for 6 hours for a papercut, than go here. I watched last night 10/6/09 a RN cough and sneeze in her bare non gloved hands and then continue treating a patient and taking a throat culture, then not 2 minutes later I observed another RN taking swabs with sometype of bodily fluid in them and toss them in a trash can with no liner under her desk. With an abbundance of illness this year going around, I feel that a medical place of any type should be using universal precautions, and wash their hands constantly. Health care providers should be smarter than that, and help in the battle against illness, not helping to let it keep ruling our flu season. Especially with the elderly people in that area that are more suseptable to illness. I am younger and I left after witnessing what I saw. I advise anybody not to come here for anything, if you want to stay healthy and not catch something from the staff here. Pros: Nothing Cons: Dirty, Unproffesional, Understaffed more

Worst Medical Place on Earth 10/9/2008

My wife and i went there once and they told her she had a UTI. Thank God we went to another doctor for a second opinion. She was pregnant!! The precription they gave could have killed the child!! TRUE STORY!! Our baby is now one and everytime i think of this story, i get chills. Before that, i was there for something and they said i had a copay of $20. The truth is i never have a copay due to my insurance. They insisted i pay and it eventually was put against me on my credit report!! even though i went in and showed them they were wrong, they wouldn't correct there mistake!! i had to actually give them $20 so they would be forcd to remove this!! UNBELIEVABLE!! wouldn't take my Dog there!! Pros: you can get any drug you want Cons: they almost killed my baby more

Another Great Doctor at Medi-Help 9/16/2008

Another great doctor at Medi Help besides Dr. Nenad Janiceijevic is Dr. Juan Arevalo. His hours are limited their but he spends a great deal of time with his patients. I never seen Dr. Goldstein that everyone is writing about ,but I just wanted to mention how great Dr. Arevalo is. I have seen alot of Dr's and he it the best that I had in a while. I was sick over the weekend one time when my regular PCP was closed, I liked Dr. Arevalo so much I go to Medi Help on a regular basis now ( they are also a family practice). I also wanted to mention the staff are the most friendly and helpful. Pros: they are open on weekends both Saturday & Sunday more

Go to Dr. Nenad Janicijevic there and NOT Dr. Goldstein 9/15/2008

I agree about Dr. Goldstein, he diagnosed me with a tumor in my middle ear -- in reality it was a small piece of rubber from a headset I wear at work. I see as my PCP Dr. Nenad Janicijevic, who is head doctor there. He was away and I needed medical attention so I had to settle for Dr. Goldstein. Dr Janicijevic is the best there is offer -- very thorough, takes his time with you, tells it straight like it is, and is very friendly and accomodating to all your needs. He was with me an hour last visit to explain all my tests an results and to educate me about a forthcoming colonoscopy. If he isn't there, I wait until I can schedule an appointment with him (or his wife.) He is from the former Yugoslavia (Serbia) and is very well trained. I love him dearly. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. Dr. ""J"" is terrific as my family physician. I have been under his care for 3 years and find no faults with him. Very intelligent man, he is a member of the United States Medical Diplomate staff and is an examiner for state boards. What is nice is that this is a one stop clinic. You get x-rays, Physical Therapy, EKG/EEG/ECG, Colonoscopy bloodwork, etc all in one location by a well-trained physician and staff. No need to go running around town to get tests done, it is done right there! I agree with the Dr. Goldstein remarks -- pathetic little man. Always acts like he got a chip on his shoulder and the world owes him a living. GET A LIFE, DOC, BUT NOT MINE! He has misdiagnosed me and family members once too often. We wait for Dr. ""J"" now! Maybe Dr. Goldstein should go back to med school and learn all over again. Where did he get his license, at Wal-Mart? Pros: Excellent physician -- Dr. Nenad janicijevic -- minimal waiting room wait -- all in one clinic Cons: Dr. Goldstein demeanor (or lack there of) -- minimal parking -- hard to get into and out of parking lot more

Friendly staff, but... 7/4/2008

Seeing the other review regarding Dr. Goldstein, I felt prompted to post my own experiences with this place. Pros: Other staff was friendly. Cons: No worthwhile treatment or examination recieved, unprofessional doctor. more

The physician I was seen by was horrible 5/5/2008

I have never had a worse experience when seeing a doctor. Dr. Goldstein was his name, and apparently he has been there for just a couple of months. Let me start off by saying that I never write reviews about anything, but I felt that I needed to in this case to save others from experiencing the trauma that I went through this morning with him. Cons: The doctor thried to preach religion to me during my visit. He also wouldn't listen at all. more
