Best

I have to admit...I was nervous going to Mary Kay Bridal based on some of the reviews I read. However, they had the dress I had fallen in love with online, and I decided to give ...

Worst

I have to say I'm not impressed! I am a bridesmaid to a friend who picked out a dress and told all of us to go get fitted - I got fitted and Bes, the girl who measured me said ""I...

BAD BRIDAL BIZ 7/15/2008

This was an AWFUL experience...do NOT buy your bridal gown here!!! The customer service is horrific and my bridal gown measurements were incorrect so my gown did NOT fit!! I had been warned not to purchase here from other brides who had awful experience and unfortunately, I should have listened to them!!! more

Brides Nightmare! 11/6/2007

Have you ever seen an episode of Bridezilla? I honestly wish my sister or I were one so I could have told Mary Kay and her staff what to do with their very poor service. Honestly, I have been in at least 6 weddings and have never experienced such difficulties! As noted in other reviews; the dresses took months longer than quoted even after several calls, the alterations (which are done on un-pressed gowns) were very poor quality and expensive, and the customer service is lacking (especially on the owner?s part). Many wishes for better service elsewhere and have a happy wedding day without Mary Kay! Pros: You might find a friendly face on a ""good day"" Cons: Slow service, stressful, and $$$. ""Good days are few and far between."" more

Bad service- avoid the stress of going here 10/1/2007

We ordered our bridesmaids dresses and the bride's dress back in January, so that it was done with and to ensure plenty of time. We are now 2 months before the wedding date and still no dresses. My poor friend is freaking out that she will not have her dress in time. The lady actually told her that they have gotten dresses in the Monday before a Sunday wedding. This is not OK when we ordered our dresses in JANUARY! Over 10 months before the wedding date! They shop is just trying to gain interest on your money while they sit on it and order last minute! Now I know the last thing my friend wants to do is worry about the dresses at this point- so if you want to be a sane bride- don't bother with this place. All my friend wanted to do was support a local store- hopefully it will work out in the end but the addded stress is NOT WORTH IT! Pros: Really nice at first Cons: Dresses take forever to come in...cutting it way too close to wedding! more

Terrible Service 9/22/2007

Mary Kay?s Bridal was terrible. I would never recommend it to anyone. The bride and bridesmaids ordered the dresses in mid February for a wedding at the end of September (7 1/2 months in advance). We were told the dresses would arrive in July (five months). In mid July we called to check in and they weren't in but we were told they would be in by the last week in July. In the end the bride?s dress arrived three weeks before the wedding and the bridesmaids dresses arrived two weeks before. In the course of following up with phone calls the employees and owner were very rude. Two weeks does not allow enough time for five out of town bridesmaids to make alteration arrangements. In addition the store recommended that the alterations all be done there, on the same day, by the same seamstress to ensure they matched. Although we followed the recommendation, in the end they didn't match any way. The alterations for the bridesmaids were extremely expensive and the result was awful. The hem did not stay in and by mid afternoon of the wedding day the bridesmaids were stepping on the dresses. Two of the bridesmaids dresses seams broke at the zipper, which wasn't even an area of the dress that was altered. The bridal gown was special ordered (at additional cost) as recommended so it would fit and not require alterations. But it did require additional alterations (which were of course an additional charge as well). None of the dresses were pressed for fittings so it was impossible to see how they would really look. Mary Kay's Bridal made the bride feel awful and added much stress to the wedding planning. more

Excellent dress selection and service 8/8/2007

I went to Mary Kay's Bridal after trying several other places. They had the best selection that I have found so far. At other places, I have struggled to find even 2 dresses that I liked enough to try on. I ended up trying on around 10 at Mary Kay's. Ashley was helping me and she was great! She did not pressure me to try anything I didn't like, and listened to what I was looking for before making recommendations. She also made sure I had all the info I was looking for before I left. I will be returning to order my dress within a couple of weeks. The only problem I had was trying to decide between two dresses, which is a good problem to have considering previous experiences at other shops. I definitely recommend Mary Kay's! Pros: Price! The dress was $200 less than other local shops (that didn't even stock it). more

Very Rude & Unprofessional 6/12/2007

When I first went in there, i loved the place. They were really nice and helpful, espisally Ashley. I ordered my wedding dress and didn' thave any problems. Then we found our bridesmaids dresses there, the ordering process went fine. I was told they we be here in 6 months at the most. That was fine because the wedding was still a ways away. I called them after Easter ( when the 6 months was up) they said the dresses would be here in 2 weeks and i was supposed to call them then. Two weeks went by and i called them again. They said they didn't know where the dresses were and that they were somewhere between here and China. I thought well how could you not know! This what you do for a business! So i waited another 2 weeks, what do you know, there still not here. In the end they took 10 months to get!!! Mary Kay herself is a very poor busniness woman. She is rude, snotty and down right mean. She hung up on me when i was trying to figure out where my dresses were! I wish i would have known what a bad place this is. Never, Never go there! Once they have your money, they want nothing else to do with you. Pros: Nice dresses Cons: The owner is evil & rude, customer service more

Poor service, bad attitudes, unhelpful 5/25/2007

The initial visit when purchasing was great. After that, they lost my try on appointments and we had to wait for a very long time to get fitted for our wedding dresses. When I asked how long we would have to wait the owner lifted the day's scheduled appointments and stated: what is it you want me to do about it? It was not until I started to contact other alterations places did they ""fit us in"". My alterations were done poorly, I cried at what they did to my wedding dress and they did not press the alterations on either dress so it was impossible to tell if it was going to work or not. I ordered a third dress, was never contacted about it's arrival. When I contacted them, I was met with abruptness and rudeness and told the dress was probably there, but they could not confirm it and would let me know. They never got back to me about whether or not they had my other bridesmaids dress with 2 weeks to go before my wedding date. I still don't know if they have it. As a small business owner, I am surprised they are in business. A classic case of ""get you in the door, too late to change, and let you hang"" more
