Mary Kay?s Bridal was terrible. I would never recommend it to anyone. The bride and bridesmaids ordered the dresses in mid February for a wedding at the end of September (7 1/2 months in advance). We were told the dresses would arrive in July (five months). In mid July we called to check in and they weren't in but we were told they would be in by the last week in July. In the end the bride?s dress arrived three weeks before the wedding and the bridesmaids dresses arrived two weeks before. In the course of following up with phone calls the employees and owner were very rude. Two weeks does not allow enough time for five out of town bridesmaids to make alteration arrangements. In addition the store recommended that the alterations all be done there, on the same day, by the same seamstress to ensure they matched. Although we followed the recommendation, in the end they didn't match any way. The alterations for the bridesmaids were extremely expensive and the result was awful. The hem did not stay in and by mid afternoon of the wedding day the bridesmaids were stepping on the dresses. Two of the bridesmaids dresses seams broke at the zipper, which wasn't even an area of the dress that was altered. The bridal gown was special ordered (at additional cost) as recommended so it would fit and not require alterations. But it did require additional alterations (which were of course an additional charge as well). None of the dresses were pressed for fittings so it was impossible to see how they would really look. Mary Kay's Bridal made the bride feel awful and added much stress to the wedding planning.
