Love this shop! They took great care of me and my motorcycle! Thanks A+++++++ more

Pompous attitudes and dismissive ""service"" mean Mammoth gets rated poorly. I urge anyone to bring their bikes somewhere else, because given the attitude of everyone who works here, clearly you are not good enough for them. I wish I could say I had caught them on a bad day, but Everybody who works here carries that pompous attitude with them, BOTH times I came in. A good friend of mine claims a similar experience. I wish I could rate them highly, but seriously Mammoth, customer service is Very Important these days if you want to retain customers. Don't treat everyone like they are stupid. Maybe then you will see repeat customers. But for now, good luck with that attitude! No thank you Mammoth! more

Every time I go to mammoth I am treated like family. There are always people hanging out at the front counter talking about bikes. Damon has always taken that extra step to make sure my bike is totally dialed in. I am thinking about getting out on the track. He has taken the time to explain all the ins and outs without making me feel stupid. I have been riding on the street for a long time and have been to many shops in Sonoma county. I have never had a service department care so much about making sure the bike is totally ready to ride. These guys are meticulous! Whatever your budget take it to mammoth!! more

Mammoth Motorsports is hands-down my favorite bike shop. Sean, the man in charge, knows japanese bikes better than anyone. He s also a truly nice guy and has always gone the extra mile to help me out everyone else there is extremely friendly and has made my experience nothing but fun and easy. more

These guys are the best! I was stuck on the side of the road not far from their shop. I called them and it was close to 6pm their closing time. They still sent someone to pick me and my motorcycle up. They waited till my ride showed up at the shop, well beyond they closing, and repaired my tire. In the end the next day when I went to pick up my motorcycle, not only did they charge me less then they had orginally quoted, they ended up waiving the pick up charge because I replaced the tire with a new one. They looked out for my safety and my pocket book. I will never go anywhere else, these guys are family now, Thanks especially to Damon for taking such great care of me! Thanks guys!, Kelly more

These guys are the epitome of a ""shady repair shop."" Overcharge for any work done, charge for work not done, added fees for vague ""services,"" take excessive time for even simple jobs, and treat customers with disrespect. I've been here twice, both times extremely unpleasant. My close friend Sarah went once and she received the same poor customer service and inflated rates. My husband Dave couldn't believe us and thought we were crazy, until he got an invoice for a base tune up on his Ducati. He knew immediately that Mammoth Motorsports was a BAD BUSINESS just by looking at what they wanted to do to his bike, and how much they were planning on charging for it. It's absolutely absurd! This place does not deserve to be in business anymore!!! more

Often I wonder how this place remains in business. I picked up my bike only to have received a final bill that was nearly three times my estimate. No one from the shop bothered to call me to warn me of the increasing costs, and my bike would not be released until I paid the entire massive fee they were trying to charge me at Mammoth. The owner, Damon, kept trying to convince me I agreed to the final costs, which was NOT the case at all. Then Damon tried to convince me I should have known better, that I should have known it would cost that much, and that I had no right to complain. Basically, Damon tried to convince me that the whole thing was MY fault. I am currently in talks with various authorities to investigate this predatory business, and I highly recommend everyone bring their motorbikes somewhere else. Avoid Mammoth, they will scam you hard, and you will get burned. more

This place is great, if you know nothing about motorbikes and are willing to get ripped off every step of the way. I came here with my fiancee looking to start up my own riding, complete kit like a suit and all the accessories and what ever else I need. The people seemed reasonably friendly. As one of the staff went to check stock in the back, my fiancee pulled me aside and said 50% of the things they were trying to sell were unnecessary, and the other 50% were ridiculously overpriced. We got everyone's business cards and said thanks and left to ""do more research"", but will not be coming back. They're friendly, but they TAKE ADVANTAGE of you hardcore. Go with someone who knows riding, or better yet, just go somewhere else. more

Received unacceptable treatment from store staff and owners. I went in and returned a riding jacket that I had for a day and it just wasn't working out for me (shoulder seam length was too long and folded over in a weird way). I found another jacket there that suited me well and brought it to the counter. Weirdly instead of them just ringing up my purchase like any other place, they almost refused to sell it to me. Instead they just kept telling me to get a size up from my old jacket. I may be a big guy but I know the difference between a small jacket and one that isnt tailored right. And for them to keep suggesting I get a bigger size? Even though I already had a jacket in hand that DID fit me right? How is that acceptable? Im trying to give them money for a new jacket, meanwhile theyre just telling me I'm large and almost forcing me to buy a bigger size. I had had enough and simply left. Would not recommend Mammoth Motorsports. more

Careful with this place. I called in asking what their price was on a pair of boots I was planning on buying. They quoted me a price that was very reasonable and one of the best I could find locally (I didn't want to ship online, gotta try em on make sure they fit you know). So I head over and when I get there, they tell me the price quote was an error. The boots are now $100 MORE than what was quoted. Strike 1. I asked if they could cut me a deal since I drove down to buy them, they said no because I misstated which boots I wanted over the phone. What?? Not a chance, I go off part numbers. Strike 2. I said forget it and turned around to leave, then the owner (Damon) made this inappropriate remark: ""Yeah, thanks for wasting our time buddy."" Strike 3!! A bad strike 3, too. Who the heck do these guys think they are??! Never go here. Its a joke run by incompetent people. Stay away from Mammoth Motorsports! more

Sure their costs were acceptable and the work done was satisfactory, BUT the overall attitude and demeanor of the staff at Mammoth Motorsports was completely unacceptable. It's SO bad that it heavily outweighs the services provided, by a long shot. Anyone will do decent work for decent fees, but seriously what on earth will make me a repeat customer if you lack customer service? I can easily get great work done for reasonable fees anywhere, but I chose Mammoth for the supposed customer service... but boy, was I wrong. I shall take my rides somewhere else from now on. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 9/4/2012

Extremely shady business. I took my nephew's bike in after being recommended to mammoth by a ""friend"", who said they were one of the best. My estimate for what should have just been basic maintenance was hilariously massive. To make matters worse, I was given an EXTREMELY hard time when I refused service in order to take the bike elsewhere. They were pretty much holding the bike hostage until I paid up, and it took forever to get my bike back. So it turns out this ""friend"" who recommend Mammoth was actually best friends with one of the employees over there! Wow! Shady and a huge waste of time. more

The worst in Sonoma County. My Kawasaki's trans died so I brought it into Mammoth. 5 weeks later I'm told they just replaced the whole thing... which could have saved me like 4 and a half weeks if they just did that in the first place. I paid crazy amounts of $$ for labor and time and parts that didnt even matter. Yeah they tried to fix something instead of just replacing (good for enviro i guess?) but seriously, its totally not worth it if you're wasting customer time & money. I coulda gotten 4 bikes fixed for the price I paid at mammoth motorsports for my 1 bike tranns. not recommended. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/15/2012

Stay away from Mammoth Motorsports. I talked to my personal mechanic recently and he asked who did service on my bike the last time (it was done at Mammoth!), because the work done was unacceptable quality. After my mech asked how much I paid, I was super upset to hear I was severely overcharged for it!! I really did want to give mammoth a chance, but their overpriced service, offensive attitude, and poor quality workmanship mean I won't ever go back-- and urge others not to, either. more

Bad Customer Service 2/16/2011

Horrible Customer service. I e mailed the company about a Suomy SPC R1 helment. They never emailed me back, So Three days later I called, and left a message. Still no call back. So finally I got ahold of parts. I was on hold for 10 min. before my line was put to voice mail because they closed. I called back and left my name and number for that person to call me back. NOTHING image that. If they didn't have the helment I was looking for I was going to buy the another helment I wanted for $700 dollars, and have them ship it to me. I guess they didn't want my money. So i kept it local. Its pretty sad the customer service this company has. I will never spend a penny here...or ever waste my time. Ive passed the word around to all my friends in the motoscooter world.. Stay away from this operation... \r \r Misty more
