Horrible experience - DO NOT order from this company 4/23/2010

10/16/09 - ordered 6 plates online. 10/18/09 - got confirmation email that said they will email me UPS tracking number, and to expect delivery in 7-10 days. 10/28/09 - It's been 10 days and no UPS tracking number received. Called toll-free number, went straight to voice mail, left message inquiring about status of order. They called me back, said order would be shipped 10/30 or 11/2. 11/6/09 - haven't heard from them as to UPS tracking number. Calling them goes straight to voice mail. Left message inquiring on status of order. No reply. 11/10/09 - called again, went straight to voice mail, left another message. Still no reply. 11/12/09 - sent them email asking about status of order. No reply. 11/20/09 - getting worried order will not come in time for Christmas. Researched internet and got direct land line number (315) 779-9228. Called them. They answered. Explained order is a Christmas gift. Customer service rep said she would see if manufacturer would drop-ship the order to me. Didn't call me back to let me know. 12/25/09 - Told daughter her Christmas present would be late. 12/30/09 - Called toll-free number. Said I never received my order. Customer service rep. said she would call manufacturer and call me back. She never called me back. 1/4/10 - Contacted manufacturer of plates directly by email. They replied immediately and said there had been a warehouse fire and plates would be shipped to Madison Avenue Gifts in mid-February. 2/25/10 - Called Madison Avenue Gifts again. Rep said they thought since it had been so long since I ordered that I probably didn't want the plates. I told her that I had never canceled the order and would still like the plates if I could still get them at the same order price. She said that was fine, she would place the order for me and she should get the plates in and ship them to me in a couple of days. 3/9/10 - Sent an email explaining the 2/25 phone conversation and asked about my re-order. 3/10/10 - Received an email from Joan Smith at Madison Avenue Gifts. Her reply was one sentence: ""It's been ordered"". 4/1/10 - Nothing received by email or UPS. Sent another email asking about my re-order. No reply. 4/22/10 - Gave up! Was never told that my order was on back-order. Was never told that my order had been canceled. Voice mail messages not returned. Email messages not answered. I was very professional in all of my dealings with this company. I didn't yell at them on the telephone and I didn't send nasty emails. I just wanted to know if they were going to ship my order or not. 4/23/10 - Ordered the plates from another website. Supposed to receive them in 2 days by UPS. The only reason I persisted with this company was that the price was good, they have 15-20% off often, and they had never yet charged my credit card for the order. But you decide - do you think you want to order from this company? Cons: Doesn't ship orders, terrible customer service more

Great service and beautiful items 3/4/2010

I called on the phone and asked about the items availability. Though it was on a weekend, I received a call back right away with the detailed information. I received email with a tracking number very fast and had my hard-to-find items delivered - all took only one week! The items were even more beautiful than their pictures on website. Thank you so much!!! Pros: Service and hard to find beautiful trays Cons: none! more

Nightmare 12/29/2009

Placed an order a month ago. Was not told that it was backorderd, so after three weeks, began the hunt to figure out where my order was. When no one could tell me when my item would actual come, I cancelled my order. Two weeks later I received a shipping confirmation from UPS for my order and the money was deducted from my bank account, even after receiving a cancelled order confirmation email. Back to the phone. Customer service representative Marilyn, hung up on me after scowling ""it's Christmas, we are very busy, your money will be credited"". She then did not answer the phone for the next 15 minutes. Money has still not been ""credited back"" to my account. Moral of the story: -Do not order from this establishment. - If you are at fault, own it, and fix it. - If you do not like talking to customers, do not be the customer service representative. Work in the stock room. Cons: Terrible customer service more

Horrendous experience! 9/8/2009

Absolutely horrible experience! Ordered and paid for items toward the beginning of Aug. 2009. Their website states that the delivery should occur within 7 to 10 days. Lo and behold the first week fo Sep. 2009 has past and they STILL have not shipped my item. At this stage, I have sent two e-mails that very clearly ask for a response as to when the order will be shipped. No response to either e-mail. Calls to the customer service center always go to voice-mail. I left messages asking about the status of my order, but (of course) no response. I then tried a different response with the voice message - I left a message saying that I was merely inquiring about a product on their website (of course they didn't know it was their disappointed and frustrated customer calling). That call was returned in just a few minutes. WOW! Tells quite a tale that calls and e-mails regarding the status of an order go unanswered, but when it comes to possibly making a ""sale"", the rep's are on it like a bad rash! SHAME ON YOU. Cons: You will not receive the item that you order :-( more
