I needed someone to manage my home as soon as possible, I had to move out of country within two weeks and didn't know what to do with my home. I contacted Tim at Lone Star Realty and he came out within the hour to see my home. That same afternoon I came into his office to sign the agreement and they were out at my house the next day taking pictures and getting it advertised for rent. I got so lucky that my house rented the day before I moved out!!! more

HORRIBLE company, anyone CIVILIAN or MILITARY, do not use this company. They do not care for the military like they show in their youtube video or in person they put on a front. I am active duty and every month they just tack more and more on to my monthly payments. I am paying for maintenance that needs to get done because they wont. I am spraying for bugs and rats because they wont, but does that get taken off my rent at the end of the month, no. It takes them forever to get things fixed and they dont tell you that you have to pay for the window that got broken cause someone tried to break into your house no. I am getting charged for that yes, they even had the gall to tell me that, ""a police report wouldnt have helped, you still would have to pay for it."" Why am i going to make my rental insurance go up because they wont pay for general maintenance. There are still items that i have put in on a trouble ticket months ago as well as the original what was wrong for that havent gotten taken care of. Pitiful that these companies dont care for people any more, especially military. HEY PICK UP A GUN AND TAKE MY SPOT NEXT DEPLOYMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Had to give one star....If I had the option I wouldn't have. All repairs take a VERY long time to solve. Get bills from repairs that tenants are not responsible for. It has been a constant battle throughout the whole lease agreement we had with Lonestar. The customer service is very rude, and they don't care about anything you have to say whether you make sense or not. Be CAREFUL giving your deposit. Take pictures and video before you move in, and upon move out. They don't give receipts after inspection you have to follow up with them a 1000 times time ensure you won't get screwed over. The place we moved into was a complete nightmare, it took the whole length of the lease (15 months) to get things that we needed done. But most importantly--the customer service, there is ONE person in that place that is actually good at her job and is respectful, unfortunately she doesn't run the place. The rest of the staff is disrespectful, inconsiderate, and don't care about anything but the check on the first. PLEASE take my bad experience and save your selves, don't support a company like this, they don't deserve business. more

The only reason they are getting one star is because giving them no stars is not an option.Not at all impressed with this company!!! They have horrible customer service and don't care about anything but the check on the first. We have a continuing pest control problem (roaches) not caused by us, it was pre-existing when we moved in, which they did not disclose. After 8 months of living here and paying rent on the first of each month (never late) they are now telling me that even though we have had the place sprayed 3 times, its my dime to have it sprayed again, even though they know we did not cause the problem. None of the appliances work well, the carpet is so threadbare that the tag strips stick through and the walls are dirty, among numerous other problems. Due to time constraints and moving during my husband's r and r, we weren't able to view the property before signing the lease, we believed the realestate agent when she said it was move in ready, and would be fine for my 1yr old son. Perfectly safe and affordable worked for us.... until we arrived at the property. The previous tenats, come to find out, had been evicted and hadn't cleaned for quite awhile before they moved and it was evident! I spent 5-6hrs cleaning a 3bdrm duplex that was supposedly 'move in ready'. It took them 4 months to fix things we brought to their attention the day we moved in, and that seems to be the general pace they move at. They don't return my calls, and when they do they are rude, like it's my fault the property needs a minor repair. Overall, extremely dissappointed and would warn everyone against renting from these people. We are moving early because the appartment is making my son sick and they still refuse to fix anything. I wish we would've never heard of them, it's that bad!! more

I was overly excited to rent from Lone Star Realty in Oct 2011. Upon move in they had me do a move in checklist of things needing repair, I did this. Six months later & repairs still not done. The duplex that I moved in to had fleas in carpet, holes in ceiling where animal was living & entering the apartment daily leaving feces & fleas all over house. My front door has a 1/2"" crack in it where u can see daylight even after you have locked both locks. Several of the electrical plugs do not work in my kitchen I cannot have 2 appliances plugged in at same time without tripping a breaker. Bathroom has mold behind toilet, under bathroom sink. Back yard was overgrown with weeds, tree limbs & grass. I have complained every single month that I have lived here, filled out numerous work orders & even turned them over to the Better Business Bureau. I can't hardly wait to move when my lease is up. I have never been late on my rent & I do not understand why they would treat tenants this badly. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM, YOU WILL SORRY! more

I have worked with many property management companies including others in the Killeen Fort Hood area. Lone Star Properties is thorough, professional, and delivers results. I wish I had partnered with them a long time ago. They are simply the best that I know. I would recommend them to any one who wants to maximize their return on investment. more
