I know from experience that a good management company saves you a lot more in the long run than what their fees cost not to mention all the headaches they can save you. I have used a lot of property management companies over the years and several management companies in San Antonio before I found Liberty Management. Liberty Management has by far been the best management company that I have used. They have constantly found me great tenants. Also their property surveys with pictures are always great to receive because I can see the condition of the properties. Pros: They are knowledgeable, professional and have the owners interest at heart Cons: I only wish they would open up some offices in other cities where I have properties. more

I am a Military Member and when I received PCS orders we had not owned our home long enough to be able to sell it and get our equity out. One of our friends referred Liberty Management to us as they had been renting from them, and said that they did a great job. They have managed our home for about 3 years now. They have always responded to our concerns and issues on our home. The staff has always been helpful and the contractors good. I can say we would recommend them to both owners and tenants Pros: Good knowledge of the market and property management. Cons: Sometimes it took a day or two before they got back to us. more

Customer service is severely lacking. I have had trouble getting a check that was somehow lost, but the accounts clerk said there was no record of a payment ever having been sent. Oh well, I guess I'll just get my September check in November. Not much a Marine can do about it when he's deployed to Iraq. Thank you, CitySearch! So when I rented a home from Liberty Management I was a little skeptical on how I would be treated and if I would receive my deposit back when I move out. Pros: Most detailed property management company that I have rented from very professional. Cons: Can't think of any. more

So when I rented a home from Liberty Management I was a little skeptical on how I would be treated and if I would receive my deposit back when I move out. I rented from them for a little over two years and everything was pretty good. When I moved out the owner of the property wanted to charge me a few charges that I was not responsible for and I did not have any proof that I did not cause the damage. I did fill out a move-in form but I did not put down a small chip in the master bathroom sink and a cracked switch plate and one of the light globes outside was cracked. I was really impressed when I found out that Liberty Management had taken over 200 pictures before I moved-in and they were able to show the owner that all 3 items that the owner wanted to charge me for were already like that when I rented the property. I found Liberty Management to be very professional and would highly recommend them as a landlord to rent from. Pros: Most detailed property management company that I have rented from very professional. Cons: Can't think of any. more

I usually don?t post things on these sites, but after coming across this letter from Jane Doe I just have to send a note in defense of Liberty Management. I am an owner who has been with several mgt. companies before I was lucky enough to find liberty mgt. I have been an ownerclient with liberty mgt. now for the last 8 years and I can say from experience that if you are looking for integrity and hardworking mgt. company, this is it. I have been with several companies that cannot even compare to the level of service I receive from liberty mgt. Not only do they rent my properties in a timely manner, they provide excellent tenant screening, with excellent service afterwards. I know that when my tenants have a maintenance issue, it is handled in a timely manner, with no additional mark up on my bill. I do know from experience that some tenants do not cooperate with the landlords and make it difficult for anyone to do their job in a timely fashion. I have had tenants instructed in proper use of various things who did not follow directions and then just sent ugly complaints to me when it was their own doing for not cooperating with whomever I employed to fix the problem. As we all know, some people prefer not to accept responsibility for anything and just to complain about everything. I am sorry this person feels this way, but I would highly recommend this company. They have always looked out for my interest and made sure my properties are in good repair and I am always impressed with the quality of tenants I have had. If you have had other mgt companies, you will be glad to change to a company of Liberty?s caliber. Pros: Most professional management company that I have used in any state. more

I received poor service from Liberty Management. They did not look out for my best interest. They charged me way too much for repairs, and blamed the tenant for everything. They took no responsibiltiy for their actions. The final straw was when they took over 20 days to fix a leak that turned into a major repair because of this neglect. They had the nerve to tell me that my tenant should have stayed on top of them to make sure the repair was made. I belive the only reason the repair was finally made was becasue my tenant called me directly, and I got involved. Of course, I had to pick up the tab for all repairs. They told me that if I didn't think I should be responsible for all the rapairs that I could take legal action, but that I would be responsible for their legal expenses as well. Do not use Liberty Management if you are looking for good, reliable service. more
