Here are the pros and cons about being a patient at Dr. Gaskill's office.
Pro: she is a thorough physician and is especially so for conditions relating to the cardiovascular system.
Con: she can be moody, and like other reviewers said, her support staff is unfriendly. Curt, one-word answers to your questions, etc. I do also feel that she is really focused on the money. It seems she really wants to schedule office visits, even when they are not necessary.
For example, she will not accept phone calls from patients, even if you're just following up with a question on your lab results. The standard answer you will receive is, ""if you want to talk to the Dr. you have to make an office appointment.""
This experience was the straw that broke the camels back: Before going out of town on a business trip I noticed I was out of a perscription. I called the office for a refill and was told I would not be granted a refill unless I came in for an office visit. I was not sick, and was leaving that day with no time to go the doctor. I tried to reason with the office staff but they refused to fill the scrip. I started looking for a new doctor the next day.
Overall, Dr. Gaskill just makes things much harder than they have to be. It's a shame because she is a competent physician. However, there are so many really good doctors in the Johns Creek area, there is no need to subject yourself to this treatment. I recommend you look for another physician.
