I asked my dentist who he recommended for a doctor, and he suggested Dr. Gaskill. I researched her online. Most of the reviews were very good, but I wanted more information before going into see her. When I called the office I wanted to know about the testing that Dr. Gaskill does. I was told she does not do experimental testing, but that some insurance companies, Humana specifically, considers the VAP cholesterol test as experimental, and most other insurance companies cover it, even Medicare. I have been to the office now several times and saw Dr. Gaskill and Jan, her PA. They are excellent, and seem very sincere. They do not seem like the type of office that would order unnecessary tests, and I would be angry at my insurance company for not covering something that they ordered. Where does the insurance company get their medical training. Dr. Gaskill explained the cardiac prevention testing that she does and my wife and I have signed up for all of it. I think it is fantastic to have a doctor that is so passionate about her patient’s health.
