This moving company is a joke. Triple my estimate and I did half the work. I was LAPPING the movers to and from the van. Then they ""couldn't fit"" items like chairs and box springs into new apartment....I did it by myself after they left. Oh, and not only that but I had to pay their parking ticket. Never. Ever. Again. more

My movers were three hours late, furniture they disassembled to move they did not bother to reassemble upin delivery. And they offered no apoloogies for being late, only that it wasn't their fault. When I called hte following day the woman who answered the phone sounded shocked when I said they were scheduled for a 1-2pm pick up ad got there at 5:30pm. Oh not to mention that one of the movers wanted to know ""So, how can I get to know you a little bit better."" I defnitely told all off my friends and coworks about such a disatsifying experience. Between being ridiculously late, offering excuses instead of apoloigies, and then trying to take me out, I regret not paying 20 dollars more an hour with another company. You move you lose, that should be the company's motto. more

I gave 'Michelle Santiago' a list of items that I needed moved, and then she sent me a quote. The quote was not accurate. The movers were great at first, but then they charged me for an extra hour and a half! The guy spent 1/2 an hour doing paperwork and charged me for it!!! I even helped them move a lot of boxes and they still charged me $117 extra. I would NOT recommend this company. Their quotes are at least $100 less than what they will actually charge you. more

I just moved with Lenora's and they were great everything went great and they saved my day. I had originally had another moving company that was suppose to move me but they cancelled me the same day I was so upset how do you cancell your customers move because your movers did not show up that was so wrong of them. I went online and found lenora's moving company and gave them a call they said they will be able to help me right away. The office staff was great and so were the movers they got here on time and finish on time they were fast but careful I was very thankful for them they saved me for having to pay a whole nother month for my storage. Thank you Lenora's for all your help you guys are great. more

I had a very good move with this company no complaints what so ever. I was already so stressed out with this move and was very afraid to hire a moving company thinking that It was going to make the situation even more stressful. But to my surprise everything went very smooth. The guys are great and work at a very good time frame and it was all at a good affordable price. Im glad it went so good. Now hoping to stay at my home for a while if not lenora's will be sure to help me again. more

This is overall a great company to hire as mover. I had no problems with my move. From the start to the end. The receptionist that I spoke to was very polite and gave me a very reasonable price. I was very pleased with their price it was the lowest I received. They sent me all their company information everything was very informative and organized and a very easy non stressful process. When the movers got there all my furniture was moved in a resonable amount of time and was taken care of in a professional matter. I would defenetly refered them to anyone that needed a stress free moving company. Thank for all your help Lenoras more

When I called Lenora's they were very polite and honest. They also gave me a good college deal, not only for me, but for my University. They came prepared and ready to work. I will be using Lenora's again!!!! more

We just moved from New York to Philly. Howard an the guys moved us an were great. I tried to get a moving company in Ny but they were too expensive. lenora's prices was great the cheapest I could find from NY to Philly. Thank you Lenora's more

We loved these guys. We move alot and have used others in Philadelphia. They all charged us for everything. These guy charged us by the hour, thats it. They were friendly and kind to me and my wife. they wrapped everything with out charging extra like the other movers did! You would be cheating your self if you dont give these guys a shot. jyust ask them for reffrences. i did. more

Ok, at first after reading the other review. I was not going to hire these guys, but i wanted to see for my self. Im not a guy who believes every thing people say. The guys arrived at 9am ready to work. They worked thru lunch at a great pace. They were smiling and working hard. I didnt see any of the things i read on the reviews, maybe I just got a great crew. My went a little longger than i wanted, but that was the fault of the people parking in front of my door, even with the no parking signs. Thank you Willie, Matt and charlie. more

Don't let Will (customer serv repre) foul you. He stated how better their company was than the others and never no hidden fees. I used them1 /2012 they were 3 hours late, that meant my cable appointment and serveral other appointments for the new house was delayed, I had to call them to find out how soon they would be there. Because of this delay I had to leave them in the apartment., I told them what needed to be move and what needed to stay. I needed a TV to stay in the apt to return to a family that lent it me. So I would see them at the new location, 3hrs later, they started rushing and end up putting a hole in the wall and wasn't even going to saying anything. My daughter notice as the worker was rushing back to the truck telling the other worker to hurry, they have another job. Here's the kicker, once I returned (2hrs later) back to the apartment to pick up the TV , I request them to leave it was gone. more

***WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!*** If you like dealing with ex-cons and people who don't know how to read or write, then choose Lenora's! Arrived over 4 hours late for a written contracted arrival time without any pre-notification. Movers weren't bad but apparently were not even notified of the job they were about to carry out prior to their arrival. Management was horrible. Shady, ghetto, nondescript warehouse that you'd fear for your life walking into. Extremely rude and unprofessional manager and owner. Willy and Anthony are a disgrace. Hung up on us repeatedly. Beware of attempting to use any credit cards, they up charge ridiculous fees, change the contracted price and threaten to hold your items overnight---which they will. If you watch Oz or The Wire and would like hiring movers that could easily pose as those actors, hire Lenora's! If you like having your items damaged, hire Lenora's! If you like having the police there for your move job & unload because they're RIDICULOUS, hire Lenora's! They scoff at the Better Business Bureau because they have so many complaints issued already. Be persistent with any claims filed through small claims court against these cons. Hopefully after enough liens are placed against their credit from the City of Philadelphia, they will stop ""doing business"". Another prestigious North Philly ""company""!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! more

The office management quoted me a price and the final bill was 3 times the original quote!! They charged the wrong card, currently have double the payment and keep promising a credit, its been three weeks since my move and I'm still getting false promises from these guys. The movers were over an hour late, drove the opposite direction of the final location, making the travel time triple what it should have been, broke some furniture. Alan, the guy who quoted me kept promising to ""look"" into all the issues and kept changing his story, never to be resolved. These guys are scammers and liars, please don't make the mistake of using them. I'm reporting them to the BBB and if I don't get my credit, to the police! more

The came to move my things into storage 2/24/22 and everything was fine. I got my things out of storage and delivered to my home 8/6/11 and that was a total NIGHTMARE. They made my appointment for 9:00am and they had not shown up by 10 so i called and was told they were loading the truck taking my things out of storage. By 11:51 I called again and was told they had gotten a flat tire IN THE PARKING LOT and were waiting for someone to come change it. I called again at 1:00 and was told they'd call when they were on their way. They arrived at 3:00pm and I asked the leader if they were coming from another job and he hesitantly told me no after stumbling. At that point i was very leery of them. While in the house I asked one of the movers if they were coming from another job and he easily said yes. We had a job before yours. I called the office and spoke to Allen about lying to me several times and he insisted that the worker didnt know what he was talking about. As they moved things in they brought me other people's stuff. I was confused how they could do that because they should have only had things from my storage unit on the truck. the worker told me that I had been sharing my storage unit with someone so some of the things must've gotten mixed up. I was furious! I also noticed that the paperwork that I was being asked to sign was new. it should have been a continuation of the original work where we were checking off final destination information instead of originating location this time. They had created a new form that was backdated 2/24/11 and had only taken down the box numbers they had left over and tried to get me to resign this information for the originating location which I REFUSED! Before they left the leader admitted that he lied to me to save his job because this company was cut throat and would fire him if he told a customer the truth. The worker who had confirmed that they had a previous move confirmed by grinn, head nod, and shrug that this was indeed a shady company. more

Not a good experience. Showed up an hour late. The leader was rude, but the other two guys were nice. The one thing that I told them I was particular about was a piano that didn't belong to me. They assured me that I was in good hands. Yup, the piano got damaged and they are not going to fix it because I didn't notice it soon enough. Yes, I should have been on it sooner, but I am not a particular person; the piano owners are now upset. The thing that bothers me the most is the they were not honest with me in letting me know what happened (they had to notice because the damage would have required a lot of force). And they wouldn't believe me saying that I could have moved it later and they can't be liable. I did a better job with family and friends moving it before. Look for someone else to move you is my advise. more

I saw lots of good reviews for this company , ""Lenora"" in the web, therefore, I hired them recently for my move. Now, I understood, all those good reviews in the web for lenora's might be written by their own people. They are good at talking but not in duty. In my case, they were late and also unprofessional, especially two (looked like kids, probably below 18 years) of them did not know what they were doing in the three people group. They were so slow, they did not have right tools for moving (e.g. sliding tools from ground to truck, etc.). I also found their truck was old and engine did not take start normally ( or may be a trick to spend more time it took about half an hour to start the truck again). In addition, they did damage to my floor, wall, furniture, etc. Their insurance policy did not cover any of my damage, it was just in name. I have very bad feeling on this company and will never think about Lenora's for my move in future. My recommendation even though if you pay little extra $ go with experienced mover, it will make you eventually happy . more
