Lelabar

I can only give compliments to Lelabar just as all the other reviews here. The service is excellent so as the whole bar environment. I've been here with friends, family, colleagues and business clients and Lelabar is just the perfect place for all occasions. They offer the best wine list from which everyone can find their own favorite (or two :). Really...congratulations!! more

Out of curiosity I tried out one their wine classes and I really enjoyed it. I don't know much about wine, so I decided to attend; why not I was thinking it can't hurt to learn a little. And I ended up learning a lot. Now, I not only drink the wine I like but also know about it and know what to eat with a certain kind of wine. I am thinking to take more classes, since this one worked out for me well :) They do a really good job at Lelabar. more

I go to Lelabar since it opened and the bartenders are really awsome. The new ones are really excellent. They always have the answer to any questions I have and are very polite and professional. Keep up the good work! more

When a few besties asked me, more like begged me, to come with them to Lela bar, I was skeptical at first because I have been to the best wine bar's all over the world. But, these were some of my most refined friends, who's opinions had only done me great good over the years, so I hopped in a cab from the upper east side in what seemed like the longest cab ride of my life to the ends of the earth. BUT ALAS New York, finally has a wine bar suitable for the sophisticated. I would bring my Parisian, English, Brazilian, Italian, client's there, with out worrying that they think I am coming off as a cheesey, clueless American. In fact, this place can give you more power in your corner, if you have invited business associates to a evening meeting. I had the best cheese. I had my favorite wine. I found a new favorite wine. I am suprised that this place hasn't already gotten a giant bouncer only letting the elite in. But in a way, that is kind of why I liked it. When I heard that they also instruct classes with their in house sommelier, I could not help but think ""IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"" KUDOS AND BRAVO LELA BAR!!! more

we did a birthday party at Lelabar. Everything was so easy with the help of the staff that I wish all places were like this one. We got great deals on prices too. Everyone at the party enjoyed themselves and congratulated us on the place we picked! more

The food at Lelabar is amazing! I am not a fan of wines so much, more of a cocktail girl, but I come here to enjoy the food, which is really fascinating. My personal favorite, which I recommend is the brie and spiced ham pressed sandwich. Really good! Also recommend the tiny chocolates of green tea and fresh lime! Pros: Food more

I took one of the wine classes here and was absolutely stunned how well it was designed to teach people about wine and select foods, such as cheeses, cold cuts, sweets to serve with wine, the area where each wine originates and so forth... We love to come here with my girlfriends to chit-chat while we have some amazing wine and very delicious salads and cheeses. We come at least once a week and the time we spend here is always so much fun. This wine bar is actually one of the few places where you can carry a good conversation because you don't get interrupted by too loud music or weird people. The bartenders are really great and knowledgeable! more
