When a few besties asked me, more like begged me, to come with them to Lela bar, I was skeptical at first because I have been to the best wine bar's all over the world. But, these were some of my most refined friends, who's opinions had only done me great good over the years, so I hopped in a cab from the upper east side in what seemed like the longest cab ride of my life to the ends of the earth. BUT ALAS New York, finally has a wine bar suitable for the sophisticated. I would bring my Parisian, English, Brazilian, Italian, client's there, with out worrying that they think I am coming off as a cheesey, clueless American. In fact, this place can give you more power in your corner, if you have invited business associates to a evening meeting. I had the best cheese. I had my favorite wine. I found a new favorite wine. I am suprised that this place hasn't already gotten a giant bouncer only letting the elite in. But in a way, that is kind of why I liked it. When I heard that they also instruct classes with their in house sommelier, I could not help but think "IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" KUDOS AND BRAVO LELA BAR!!!
