Latitudes Moving

This is at least my third in-town move with New Latitudes, and I have been very pleased every time. They are friendly on the phone; they show up on time -- I mean, on the dot; the guys are very polite, patient and time-efficient; and I have had nothing but excellent results in terms of items arriving safely and undamaged. Highly recommend; would not think of calling anyone else. more

Overall, I am satisfied with our move. However, the two young men that moved us showed up at our house without tools (I don't think its rocket science to bring tools when your moving from an apartment to a home). They said they weren't told to bring them, so I had to run to the store and buy some so we could take the beds apart. Second problem, which prompted me to write this review, is a chunk of wood out of my furniture. (It is close to the floor, and towards the back of the furniture, so if I hadn't leaned over in that spot to clean something I wouldn't have seen it). And it is obvious they tried to glue it back on and put furniture marker over it. I would never use them again. more

Though the two young men who came were as nice as they could be, I was a little disappointed with how unprepared they were. I had told Cain that we would try to move most of the closets ourselves, but that they should be prepared in case we weren't able. The guys had no garment boxes on the truck and said they'd have to charge me to go back to the store to get them. Nor did they have any boxes for my paintings. We had to move two closets and all the paintings ourselves. In addition, the guys complained about how heavy every piece of furniture was and made excuses for why they couldn't move this and that (they were well-trained in avoiding liability), so I didn't feel right asking them to move all of the boxes I had packed and ended up moving them myself. By the end of the day, they gave me the impression they couldn't wait to get out of my apartment. In my mind, a moving company should move everything without asking. I think it was just a lack of customer service training on their part or a sensitivity to any kind of liability on management's part. New Latitudes had come highly recommended, but I will not, in good conscience, be able to recommend them to others. I bought them lunch and tipped them because they did work hard and in terrible weather conditions, but I was not happy with the amount of resistance I received from them. I hired New Latitudes as the expert mover, but I ended up having to make a lot of choices and decisions myself, and personally moved far more than I had intended. more

Crew was very fast and professional. They took care of the furnishings and worked quickly. more

Our experience with New Lattitudes was awesome. We have used other movers in the past that I would not recommend to anyone but I would highly recommend New Lattitude. The movers were on time, courteous, careful when handling the items and exceptional young men. Our experience was very satisfying. more

Pleasant to deal with, even when I had to postpone my move last minute. Rates were competitive. Two men who moved us were efficient, pleasant, and very accommodating to my requests. Everything got moved without damage, and they did it in less time than estimated. Overall, a great experience. I hired them on a personal recommendation from someone else, and can definitely recommend them now from personal experience. more

and I have moved over 20 times. Josh, started crew chief came into my apartment and within minutes, everyone was at work. All the men were very courteous, organized and knew what to do to get the move underway. The deadline of 4:30 PM was kept (since all the outer doors are locked to the building.) They came on time and left 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Amazing! Even the housing specialist, Linda Reece-Mahoney commented to me at the end of the day...."Who was that company you uused and how did you find out about them? They were awsome!" And Linda has seen a lot of movers in and out of Episcopal Place Apartments. I told her I was referred by Mr. Drew Gaines of New Lattitude. I spoke with Mr. Kane Martin to set up the move. Honestly, I would have to say, the crew was extradinary and moved with the precision, just like a military "strike force!" On the second day, I met Josh and Cord at my new residence on the coast. They went right to work and had everything in place, where I asked it to be, and finished up within about 3 hours time. I would recommend Mr. Drew Gaines and Mr. Martin of New Lattitude to anyone. I will also follow-up with Ms. Mahoney-Reece and recommend your staff and company to her. There is always someone moving in or moving out at Episcopal Place..... You might drop her a note and send your business card. You are exactly the type of mover I would send to anyone who is either elderly or has health issues like at Episcopal Place. This was our third move with New Latitude Movers, and each move has been smoother than the one prior. The movers were on time, they worked quickly and efficiently, and they were extremely courteous and friendly. The were flexible and responsive to all of our needs, performed in a professional manner at all times, finished ahead of their original projection of time, and were true to their estimate of cost. more

Josh And Justin are very professional,(appearance and actions) polite, and they are extremely hard workers. The process of moving is not fun, but they really made the experience as good as possible! They really take care of the furniture and boxes as if it were their own. This is a great, experienced moving company. Thank You Justin and Josh! more

They were extremely slow and not experienced movers. They charged me twice as much as their estimate. They also damaged several items and have not fixed some of them. more

The movers arrived on time and were friendly and courteous. However, they didn't appear to have been informed by Dustin about the level of work involved in the move. So the move took much longer than I or they expected...9hrs vs 6. This was a significant impact to our planned moving budget. Because of this I called Dustin and he responded initially however he didn't do any follow-up to see if anything had been resolved. Two bright spots... Frank one of the movers(worked extra hard and very respectful even when things were tense for a while) and Chris (front office who seemed to be genuinely interested in resolving our problems). more

They were very attentive to what needed to be packed for storage as well as what needed to be packed for townhouse. There was only one small damage and they sent someone out to fix that after I reported it. more

New Latitude Movers helped my family with our move. They did most of the packing and all of the moving. They did everything we asked. They took very good care of our things. They were courteous and fast. It was a pleasant moving experience. I would definitely use them again if we moved. more

I had used New Latitude last summer when I moved into a rental while my new house was being built. They did a great job. I called them back for my move from the rental to the new house. The movers could not have been easier to work with. more

I rated the service as poor because the movers seemed inexperienced which caused them to move slowly. They spent more time arguing about how to move the furniture then actually moving it. If we did not assist them in moving the furniture it would have taken a lot longer then it did. I must say that the men with very respectable and the bill was adjusted. But for what little furniture we had it was a very long day! Even the neighbors commented on how slow they were. I would make one important recommendation. You should as a company require your employees to wear back support)brace. One of the young men complained about his back all day. more
