Happy They're Here!!!! 3/25/2011

This place is amazing!!!! It's like a trendy spa you would find in Buckhead but in Conyers. Not only do they have any service you could ask for, but the prices are quite resonable for these services. The staff is extremely courteous and was very helpful with all my questions. The facial I had was amazing. The aesthetician, Latedra, made me feel so comfortable and made me feel like a whole new woman after my facial. I will definetly return. Next time I think I'll get a massage. I hear that the therapists are awesome!!! more

Lesson Learned 3/25/2011

I recently had a service done at La Ritz that I wasn't too pleased with, but instead of letting a disgruntled customer leave, they gave me a "do over" with another employee and OMG it was amazing!!!! They have many certified therapists on their staff and just because I didn't connect with the first person, the second person was perfect for me. I am so glad I chose to give this spa a second chance, and that they worked so hard to make sure that I was happy with my services and really got the quality that I was looking for. My advice to anyone that has this issue with any place is don't be so quick to judge. Give it another shot if you're not quite satisfied. You don't always mesh with some people, but they're always someone out there that you can connect with. You just have to give it another try. more

Not worth my time 3/25/2011

I went to La Ritz Spa & Salon because I was on a business trip in the area and I bought a Groupon. The exterior of the Spa looks nice but the interior is a whole other story. The Groupon I bought was for a facial and mani/pedi combo. First of all the facial room is tiny and the equipment is older then me. The young lady who gave me my facial was nice however that did not make up for the bad facial. She had put the facial steamer so close to my face that I had to ask her to stop and move it cause it HURT! Then she did the extractions with her hands and not an extractor(yikes). The mani/pedi was even worse the young lady that did my nails was HORRIBLE to say the least. She had no clue what she was doing. She left my nails so uneven and ragged I snagged a nail on the way out of the salon. The worst was when I sat up from the pedicure chair and there was a trail of nail clippings and disgusting oils in the swing out area from the chair that no one had ever cleaned!!! A huge health hazard, I should have gotten a clue that the woman doing my nails didn't have a clue on how to do nails when I saw that she had press on nails on. Mind you her nails were soooo long that she couldn't even handle the tools correctly while doing my mani/pedi. more

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. I CALLED FOR A HAIR APPOINTMENT AT LA RITZ .... CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GREAT.... AND I EXPLAINED WHAT I WANTED DONE ... I WAS SCHEDULED FOR A APPOINTMENT THAT DAY... I CAME IN I WAS OFFERED VARIETY OF DRINKS EVEN WINE!!! WOW....THATS WHEN I MET PAHELLA SHE WAS GREAT VERY FRIENDLY ... AND SHE KNEW ALOT ABOUT HAIR.... SHE EDUCATED ME ON WAYS TO KEEP MY HAIR UP....I WAS SO RELAXED AND HAD GOOD CONVERSATION... SO IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A GREAT STYLIST GO TO LA RITZ SPA AND SALON AND ASK FOR PAHELLA!! My Experience at La Ritz with the Shellac Nails 2/19/2011

Lets start off by saying customer service was great. they were very knowledgeable. I called in to get a fill in... and the receptionist was very helpful... she explained to me about the Shellac nails. When i came in i was greeted and it was a short wait to be seen... My nail tech was Karen she explained the Pros and the Cons about Acrylic vs. Shellac.... I was so happy with the result... can you think no chips for 2 weeks... i will be defiantly come back for the Shellac ..... My experience was wonderful so relaxing... i would defiantly RECOMMEND this place.... more

FIRST IMPRESSION - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE** 2/15/2011

I placed a phone call to La Ritz to inquire about their shellac service for nails. I've received the service before, but never at La Ritz and I wanted to try the location because it's in my local area. However, judging from this simple phone call, I won't ever find out. The person that answered the phone had a heavy accent and a horrible attitude. She was short, cold and the tone throughout the call was condescending. I asked the price of the service, she replied, "$35". I asked if the service included a manicure and her response was, "A manicure is $12". I re-worded the question and asked, "Does the service include just the shellac polishing or is a manicure a part of the service." Her response this time was, "Polish? Do you mean the shellac treatment?"...Needless to say that call was going nowhere and I won't be either; at least not there. Here's the thing, I'm a prospective patron with a question. I didn't call to debate the technical verbiage of the service or to split hairs about the details. Quality of service will always win the battle with cost for me. I don't mind driving farther but it's always nice to be able to do business in your own backyard. Word to the wise, the Conyers/Covington area is growing, it's still a small community and word travels fast. You've only been in your location since August and if you'd like to grow your business, lose the attitude and provide good customer service in person and over the phone. more

My B-day at LaRitz 2/12/2011

I chose this spa based on the other great reviews, but I'd have to rate it as being just an "Okay. Nice." spa...not an "OMG! Fabulous!" spa. First I will discuss my experience in regards to customer service. The owner was very nice when booking me to come in for the spa package for the next morning at 10:15. Her assistant called that evening and confirmed a different time, so I asked her to double check and she assured me that my appt was for 10:45. However, when I arrived at 10:50, the owner informed me that I should have been there 30 min before. But this was a minor mix up- she took my info and I was ready to have a relaxing birthday. After my husband paid for the services, he informed me that he was charged a 20% gratuity fee. I have previously worked in the service industry, so I understand that some people are not inclined to tip when they should. However, customers should be informed about the fee at the time of booking. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The nail technician April, and beauty consultant LaTedra were extremely professional and super nice- as they both offered me some great tips and useful information. The massage therapist was also friendly, but my massage was less than what I expected-It felt more like a good rub down. With regards to the actual space, I think it could be made to feel more luxurious. The purses for sale in the front lobby sort of detracts from the "spa" ambience, and the decor could be vamped up a few notches. The location was great- easy to find and in close proximity to shopping- which makes for a perfect spa day! The complimentary wine was a nice touch, but I would have liked to receive it during my pedicure because It was impossible to drink while getting a facial, massage, or manicure. Overall, I had a good experience and I would return for individual services rather than a package. more

I have never had a facial that was so relaxing in my life. This is my new spa. The service and services are great. The owner is very friendly and has a wonderful character. I have been to spas where they don't deserve to have a roach for a customer, but La Ritz Spa & Salon is amazing. I recently hosted a Mona Vie tasting at this Spa and everyone was very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend visiting this spa if you are ever in the area. Talk about relaxation! more

So worth it! I find it amazing that I no longer have to travel to the city just to receive the same quality of service and the variety of services-phenomenal. Yes?! This is exactly what Conyer's needed! The estheticians are amazing! I can get waxed, relaxed, and manicured all in one place! I can even get a colonic. (I know right?!) Professional, relaxing, and convenient. Don't be the one that hears about the fabulous new spots, go experience it. Life is stressful enough! We deserve it! Bring your significant other, they have a great rates on his and her massages,too! more
