I placed a phone call to La Ritz to inquire about their shellac service for nails. I've received the service before, but never at La Ritz and I wanted to try the location because it's in my local area. However, judging from this simple phone call, I won't ever find out. The person that answered the phone had a heavy accent and a horrible attitude. She was short, cold and the tone throughout the call was condescending. I asked the price of the service, she replied, "$35". I asked if the service included a manicure and her response was, "A manicure is $12". I re-worded the question and asked, "Does the service include just the shellac polishing or is a manicure a part of the service." Her response this time was, "Polish? Do you mean the shellac treatment?"...Needless to say that call was going nowhere and I won't be either; at least not there. Here's the thing, I'm a prospective patron with a question. I didn't call to debate the technical verbiage of the service or to split hairs about the details. Quality of service will always win the battle with cost for me. I don't mind driving farther but it's always nice to be able to do business in your own backyard. Word to the wise, the Conyers/Covington area is growing, it's still a small community and word travels fast. You've only been in your location since August and if you'd like to grow your business, lose the attitude and provide good customer service in person and over the phone. more
