When you visit La Mirage you will be amazed at all they have to offer. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. They can't do enough to make you feel special even though they are a very busy salon. The spa is absolutely AMAZING. So elegant! You feel like a celebrity when you walk through the doors. I was surprised to find the prices were comprable to other much less impressive salons and spas. So, treat yourself and give La Mirage a try. I can promise you, you will not be disappointed!!! Welcoming, Friendly and Classy 10/1/2009

I have been a happy client of La Mirage for over 12 years . I happened on this site and was dismayed to read some of the reviews. I realize that you can't please everyone no matter how hard you try; however, some of the reviews seem at best, childish. It's one thing to have a legitimate complaint, but to bring it to personal level and refer to a human being as an old man is off base. Simply state that your hair didn't turn out the way you expected, or that you had to wait or that someone looked at you without a smile. I have to believe that previously mentioned statement was not an unsatisfied customer, but that of a disgruntled employee or an ex-employee, trying to make it in the business world and is finding out that it is not as easy as Olga and Danny make it look. For those of you who want a great experience and want to look your best - give La Mirage a try. Like me you'll be a client for many years. Pros: ALL THE COMPLIMENTS ABOUT MY HAIR more

i went to la mirage for the first time and was offered something to drink while i waited for my stylist. i was very happy with my cut, my stylist was very patient with me in describing what i wanted. i have had many bad experiences and hope that la mirage is my new salon. more

Over Priced, Out dated and Rude Staff!!! 9/8/2009

I booked an appointment with a young lady named Carlin, when i arrived at the salon the three snobby girls at the front desk decided to continue their conversation instead of checking me in for my appointment. When Carlin took me back, she quoted me $40.00 for a cut and blowdry. When i went to check out, the Owner (some OLD MAN) told me that i needed to pay $60.00 for a cut and blowout, he then told me that CArlin was wrong about the prices and that she knew better. He then told me ""what do you expect, you have longer hair""????? like i know anything about hair!!! these people are rude as hell and I will never waste my money there. my hair cut was extremely uneven, the blowdry was awful and the SERVICE is a JOKE!!!! Pros: THEY DIDNT SPEND MONEY TO UPDATE THE 80's LOOK... Cons: STAFF, PRICES, LACK OF BUSINESS/CUSTOMER FOCUS more

Front Desk... 6/20/2009

I have been going to ""my"" stylist for sometime now..and I love her obviously, great personality, great skills. Olga is wonderful as well! I have to wonder though, how much of the business is lost due to the attitudes of the young girls that answer the phones and book who have no idea what it takes to market or sell the business, appointments. I wont mention any names, but we will say ""M**** a"" and ""T**a"" are the worst! I write this is hopes Olga has a little chat with the two, they certainly have no idea what it takes to market or sell the business. If I didnt know the place and based me making an appointment without knowing my hair dresser and Olga... The call would have ended with a ""WONT BE COMING IN...CLICK!"" An ounce of courtesy goes a very long way... and never let anyone think you dont care or are to busy! Pros: My hair stylist is WONDERFUL! I love how the business fires back with unprofessional replies! I'd suggest not reading reviews and let people have there own opinions. It looks bad on you to comment back on a forum with such attitude. It leaves a childish impression to someone who was a potential customer. The place seems a bit outdated on the website. THE BEST SALON AND SPA IN TAMPA BAY 4/9/2009

I have been going to La Mirage for many, many years! My family and I have been following them around for about 19 years! I use 2 particular stylists, and I am SUPER picky about my blonde highlights! I was born a natural blonde and I have a theory on the art of looking like a natural blonde as you get older. You must have an excellent stylist who foils and colors just right. Yes, even my eyebrows match my hair and NO I do not dye them. My hair always looks very natural and beautiful as well. The staff, everyone in there is really wonderful, it's like a big family. If for whatever reason, you do have a concern about something, they will do their best to make it right! LaMirage, you guys r the best!!! Pros: Everything Cons: I wish Olga would make house calls! LOL more

I have visited the Salon a few times, and loved it. The owner, Olga, took good care of me. I found Olga and the other staff to be very experienced in what they were doing. It is because I live so far away that I don't frequent the Salon as much as I would like, but, have been thinking about going back because of the poor hair cuts I have been getting elsewhere. more

I walked into this salon overwhelmed by its size and populace of people! I was openly greeted with a cordial smile and a responsive welcome. I was then given a tour of this luxurious place and soon felt at home (the receptionist actually guided me to my destination and showed me to my robe and locker.) My appointment was for a package receiving a massage, facial, pedicure, and hair style. Their staff was incredibly knowledgeable and very hospitable, I never wanted it to end! I don't think I have ever felt more relaxed in my life! By the time I left I felt and looked magnificent! I learned things I didn?t know about my hair, and my feet looked impeccable! I am definitely going back and telling anyone and everyone I know about my experience!! Pros: customer service, knowledge of stylists Cons: The only con was that I had to leave more

Not Impressive 10/12/2008

I went to La Mirage to pick up a gift certifiate for a friend, hoping that since she's in the spa industry she could get a day of relaxation, away from her own place of work. I had heard terrible things about the staff and especially the owner, Olga, but I figured I would overlook that and give it a chance. What a mistake!! When I went into the salon, I was definatly not treated the way I would expect. The girls at the front desk were nothing but rude, and very snobby. They had an attitude, as if I was bothering them by trying to bring them business. They never greeted me, or asked if they could help. I just got a nasty stare. When my friend went in for her services, she had nothing good to say either. She said they were very rude to her, and did a horrible job on her services. For the money that this spa charges, I thought it would be a much more enjoyable experience...I would never waste the money again. more

La Mirage and Debra T. changed my skin!!!!!! 9/7/2008

I recently had a facial at La Mirage after a friend of mine insisted I see her esthetician. I was nervous because I'd had a few bad experiences in the past, but my skin was desperate!! Debra T. was friendly and adorable and soothed my nerves immediately. She spent a great deal of time with me and ended up suggesting a glycolic peel and a skin care regiment. It was life changing. The facial was amazing and my skin has since cleared up. I'm so in love with La Mirage and Debra that I've been back for eyebrow and bikini waxes and I'm planning on trying some microdermabrasion for some stubborn scars. PERFECT PARADISE!!! 8/30/2008

I was at La Mirage a couple of weeks ago and had the most amazing spa experiece!!! I try to have at least two spa days a year. As far as ""day spas"" go its unmatched!! The spa is so beautiful and relaxing like something out of a magazine. I had the best massage with Krystal. I really felt that the staff wanted me to have the best experience possible. I have been going to La Mirage for about two years. It is not only a welcoming Salon and Spa, but the girls their are professional and polite. They are constantly making sure you're comfortable and ask if they can bring you anything. The employees are sweet and make you feel special. That's what I look for in a Salon & Spa. I want to feel like I'm the only one there, and they are going to do all they can to pamper me. That's the kind of treatment I get when I go to La Mirage. As for the building itself- the salon stations were recently updated and are very appealing to the eye. The spa has a two story marble water fountain with white stairs going to a second level. The sauna is there to use before, between, or after treatments. My experiences at La Mirage are relaxing and enjoyable. It's definitely one of a kind. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else!! more

ONE OF THE BEST SALONS AND SPAS IN THE BAY AREA!!!!! 6/19/2008

Havig been a professional in this indrustry for over 25 years in every aspect it is very dishearting to read such terrible reviews about such a high end salon. Their staff is highly educated in their field both internally as well as traveling to metropolitan cities for their education. From all of my experience being a former educator for a leading hair care company along with a salon coordinator of two very successful day spa in the bay area I can professionally tell you this is one of the best salons in tampa. I am a full service customer of LaMirage for hair,skincare,and nails. Cat is my nail tec and being a nail at one time is the BEST nail tec I have been to since I moved to Florida from NY. Olga is my primary stylist although I have had many of the staff both color and cut my hair, and have never had anything less than a great experience. Olga has and has always had an appentices program for her staff before they become stylists in her salon. You can not put a price on education although if you were to purchase a class in our field for great education the mim cost would be 200.00. She holds these classes weekly at NO CHARGE to her staff which tells me that she cares a great deal about her business and the top quality of work that comes out of her salon. Unfortunatly like in any successful businesses employees come and go. The truth is while they are with you things are great and when they are gone they have nothing good to say. The best compliment is for former employees to go out are their own to try and duplicate what you've done providing they remember where came from. 'Successful people do what unsuccessful people won't do."" Jealousy is a terrible thing and we should always remember to ""treat others the way you want to be treated."" In closing for those REAL CLIENTS reading these reviews hopefully you put more stock in one written by a professional in the indrustry rather than former employees because I can promise you 100% satisfaction....\r more

I have been going to La Mirage for over two years and for the most part I have been very pleased with the service overall. I was referred by several friends in my area who recommended Monika. I travel an hour to get there because it's worth it to me and the price is inconsequential to me because of how satisfied I am. My stylist did an outstanding cut on my very difficult hair. I am very hard to please because my hair is quite unmanageable. I've been in Florida for 7 years and it took me this long to find someone who didn't ruin my hair! I love her cuts plus she is one of the first who styled it the way I like and I finally didn't have to run home to wash my hair and do it over. I don't mind the cost if the service, cut, style, color, etc. is excellent, which it was. I was so happy...finally...until I called to make an appt with Monika only to find out she left! Of course, having been in the business myself, I understand that no one will say where she went. Not only am I upset over this but so is my family. My husband said, ""oh no, life just got tougher (for him) because he's seen me come home in tears too many times. I don't know what to do now and I'm way overdue for my haircut. :o( If there is one characteristic I feel the salon could improve on is the dress code of the staff. There's way too much cleavage, etc. showing, which I think looks unprofessional. I think a more business-like appearance would suit this salon better. If anyone knows where Monika went please reply. I'm not sure it's worth the drive now that I'm back to zero with my hair. Pros: good customer service, pleased with cut & styling Cons: Dress is a bit racy, wouldn't bring husband or son there more

Great Salon With Talented Professionals 10/5/2007

Had to write about my consistently wonderful experiences with this salon. I was referred from a woman whose hair always looked great and I wanted mine to look the same. All their staff is first rate. Especially, Vanessa, Olga, Elena & Monika, as well as other stylists and spa personel. It's so odd to read bad reviews, because after having been a client for a few years - I have never once had any problems or issues with anyone - if anything has come up, it has been handled in a professional manner that you would expect from a large, very busy salon. Being a professional and a business owner myself, sometimes it is the client/customer that is making an outrageous demand and some people can never be pleased. My experience has been 100% positive. As a matter of fact, the ONLY bad haircut I ever had was from a stylist who is no longer employed by the salon! This is a great salon, one which I can HIGHLY recommend without reservation. They are always busy and have been in business for many years - they must be doing something right!!! more

Don't ever go here unless you want to be insulted and treated poorly. As stated in previous ratings, the owner is horrible, rude, insulting and ""always right"".
