I had a facial here the day before my wedding, and it was the best facial I've ever had. The service was excellent, and my face just glowed. La Mirage worked me in at the last minute when my appointment at another spa was unexpectedly cancelled - they really saved the day, and my sanity! good service, but expensive 12/18/2006

I've been going to this salon for many years, although I don't live in this area anymore. Every time I come home for the holidays, I try to stop by to get highlights or a waxing or whatever. I've been really happy with my results, although it is really quite expensive for this area. It's worth it to me, though, since it's just a once or twice a year treat. more

Salon from Hell 12/15/2006

I was recommended by a friend to go this high end salon for their artistic flair in haircuts. I got my haircut from the owner and even when I told her what I wanted she gave me something totally different. She was even rude to me about it and treated me badly. I guess I sholdn't be surprise. I heard she is aweful to her employees so why would I be treated any different. I thought being a paid customer I would at least be satisfied and treated better. I do not recommend going to La Mirage unless you like being abused. more

Love it! 8/25/2006

I have been to La Mirage several times over the last four years for massages and body treatments. The staff is always pleasant and on time. The spa environment is very relaxing, the massages are the best around, and the price is great. I've been to other, more expensive spas in the bay area and was just disappointed. Terrible Service; Argumentative Owner - The Customer is Always Wrong! 8/8/2006

You'll take your hair into your own hands if you go to this place. The owner is very argumentative, ""right"" about everything and the service is just absolutely terrible. The prices are also the highest in the area. I would look twice, and then look again, and then find somewhere else, because you'll be very disappointed in the quality of the service. The attitude comes from the ""top down"" at this snooty ""spa."" Anything wrong will be ""your fault"" and they don't recognize when they make a mistake or try to rectify it in any way. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! more

Completely Satisfied 3/9/2006

I have been using services at La Mirage for 3 years now and have yet to find a negative. The massage therapist was absolutely awesome. I've had 2 different hair stylists there, and they both are very friendly, honest and wonderful. They have always done an excellent job. The tanning facility is very clean, and the pedicure/manicurists have always done a great job. I highly recommend La Mirage Salon and Spa. more

I would never visit this spa again!!! 4/5/2005

We went to this spa the day before my sister's wedding. The staff was extremly rude to everyone. My mother had the same problem with a gift certificate as said in a previous posting. (Over one year and they refused to honor the gift certificate.) When I went to pay, after having terrible service, they informed me that I could not put a tip on a credit card. I told them that I had never been to this spa, no one told me about that policy. The staff was extremely rude and told me that this is how all high end spas work. When I called the owner/manager to explain the poor service and rude receptionists, he blew me off. He told me that it didn't matter that me or my family wouldn't be back, since he has over 30,000 clients!!!!! He was just as rude as his staff... more

Gift Certificates expire? 2/28/2005

I bought a $60 gift certificate for my mother on her birthday, so she could take a break from her busy schedule and indulge for a day. She didn't get a chance to use the certificate for quite a while, a year and 3 weeks to be exact, yet when she did, La Mirage informed her in a very disrespectful manner that it had expired. I understand that packages and rates change, however the spa was still open, so they should have still accepted the $60 that I had already payed them. To make that visit worse they did not even give us a discount on the packages that we got that day that well exceeded the $60 the gift certificate was for. I would not recommend this spa to anyone. more
