My personal opinion is this is a rip off! Bait and switch! I felt the facility was unsanitary at best. Did not appreciate the sales pressure. How can you relax and enjoy a treatment when you are hounded to buy packages, not to mention I was physically hurt by the treatment with major brusing that continued to appear noticeable even after 5 days after the treatment. My opinion proceed with caution. more

I have received a spray tan from la bella twice, both times were terrible. They take you to a room that looks like a closet, they did not have the machine ready for use before I arrived and set it up with me in the room. The machine splattered the tanner over me instead of an even application like at other places. Because the machine was splattering it ran down be like water, leaving those lines after it dried. The girl giving the spray tan did not seem to know what she was doing. During the spray tan, the girl left several times leaving me standing there. They give you no lotion to keep the tanner from setting into your knuckles, elbows and nails. They provide nothing for you to stand on so the bottom of your feet turn very orange. After she was done with the spray tan she handed me a hair dryer and told me to dry myself. When the tanner dried it was so orange, it didn't even look good. This was by far the worse spray tan I have ever received and it was definitely not the relaxing experience I expected from a "spa". During the time I was there I could hear people stomping up and down the stairs to the employee only area. What kind of "spa" does that? I will never return to La Bella. Worst experience ever. I could get better service at sun tan city from a booth. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. more

I recently purchased a day of relaxation for my mother and her best friend. When I embarked on this mission to provide my mother with a day of pure bliss I didn't realize there were so many options in the Nashville are. It seemed that each place I either talked to or website I perused, I became increasingly confused or frustrated with. That's until I spoke with a staff member of La Bella! Immediately I was greeted with pleasantries and confidence I had contacted the best spa in the area. The young lady explained to me all the services that were available, along with pricing. I told her that I was a very busy but would take notes and call her back with a decision. Well shortly thereafter, I received a call from the same young lady. To my surprise, she had taken the time to put together a couple of packaged options that she thought would satisfy my request for a day at the spa! I couldn't believe that someone had actually taken the time to research options for me and be proactive. What a relief. I immediately gave her my credit card information and booked the appointments. Now, I just hoped that the services would be as wonderful as the customer service, so far. The day had come for my mother and her best friend to venture into the land of pure bliss! I had been at work for several hours, and although I was consumed with many deadlines for the day, I couldn't help but wonder from time to time how thing were going at La Bella. Afterall, I had invested a nice amount to ensure they would be taken care of. Well, sometime in the afternoon, I received a phone call from my mother. Before I could ask how things had gone, she cut right in and began to furiously thank me for an amazing experience. She went on to explain how from the time she walked in to the time she left, the personal attention and pampering never stopped! The staff were so very attentive and made sure they were happy and without needing anything. She went into detail about the facials and massages, etc.... All I would really like to say to the owner and staff of this wonderful spa is: THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! Abby more

I have had a few clients bring some of these comments to my attention as of late and therefore, decided to address them although they truly don't bother me. Rather than spending valuable family time composing rebuttles I will just say that I'm very proud of all of my children. My two biological children in addition to my two adopted children. It's very sad that 5th, 6th and 7th graders, in addition to my 19 year old daughter would have to read and/or hear such things about their mother and siblings. I will be happy to address any relevent questions. I also look forward to the day when others can be inspired by witnessing the outcome of an individual who never gave up and never will. Thanks to those who patronize La Bella e Famosa. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. It was with sweat, blood and tears that it is what it is today. Zero capitol and a lot of hard work. A special thanks to my past and present staff who have worked very hard to ensure La Bella's success. I will continue spending many hours each day focusing on how to improve the world of body contouring both nationally and internationally as well as raising my children into the wonderful adults they will become. I have a special place in my heart for foster children and will be working on several programs this upcoming year to bring awareness to what society can do concerning this pressing matter (look for developments on the labellafamosa website) Please contact the spa for further communication as city search is nothing more than a trashy tabloid when used in this manner and I don't intend to ever look at it again. I have visited la bella a few times. I have met the owner Betty. She was very nice. The spa manager Ashley and I completed the esthetics program at the same school. She is one of the nicest and most honest people I have ever met. She is highly skilled at her profession, even in school I knew she would be amazing. She retained a high amount of clients even in school. Any time that I have ever visited la bella I have always been impressed. more

I have had the best spa experience a person could at LaBella E Famosa.......I highly recommend you trying one of their many spa services !! The micro-derm's are great and one my favorite's now, is the photo facial with instant result's.....and it's nice to unwind in the relaxtion room with soft music and a glass of wine !! My name is Amber, I have met a few of you in the Spa over the last 2 months. I searched for a spa for a while until one of my sorority sister's mothers suggested La Bella. She is a regular and has been going for years, and ALWAYS looks like she should be on a magazine cover so I took her up on it. Once she found out I wanted to go to get ready for my wedding, she bought me the works...facials, body treatments, waxing and spray tans. I have been pleasantly surprised since day one and thought it was just a beautiful spa with friendly employees. My last couple sessions have been with a petite girl my size and I somehow felt a connection with her because we kind od look like we could be sisters. She is also the spa manager so I knew i was in for a good treat, I mean if the Spa manager works on clients, who wouldnt want that!?! Ive been seen by a few girls who have been awesome, I only speak on Ashley because she introduced me to a treatment that has helped me fit into all my new spring clothes but most importantly MY WEDDING DRESS! This machine helps remove cellulite some how (I dont understand the science, but ladies, it works, I am living proof!), and if I am not mistaken the owner invented it, ASK ABOUT IT, it is amazing. Anyway enough about that, I might as well have wrote a book, I am just so excited. My sincerest appreciation for the excellent experience, and I cant wait to see you girls after my honeymoon! Wish me luck. I am so glad my friend's mom sent me to La Bella. Good spas are hard to find, and I no longer have to worry about that! :) Oh the girl who is the manager and could be my twin...her name is Ashley (thanks again sweetie for the wedding gift!) I will bring you something back from Italy! ;) more

I would not even give this Salon one star, but was required to do so to write a review. I went to this salon for a facial which wasn't the best I've ever had, but was still decent. I made the mistake of chatting with the owner and telling her that I was going to be getting married in a few months. Upon check out I was hounded into purchasing a package of "body wraps" that the owner assured me would make me look wonderful for my wedding day. This was clearly my mistake, but I really feel like the owner took advantage of the fact that I was about to be married and preyed on the fact that I was nervously preparing for my wedding. A few days after signing the contract, I was notified that my fiancé was being transferred to Louisville, Kentucky with his job. I also began looking for employment and managed to get a transfer with my company as well. Before I had even set foot in La Bella Salon for one of my "body wraps" I called to cancel my package. I explained my reason, that I would be LIVING OUT OF THE STATE and could clearly not come to Franklin for weekly body treatments. I was told I could not cancel my contract and would have to speak with the owner. I asked that she call me at her earliest convenience. Several days later, after hearing nothing back, I called again to speak to the owner and again was told she was unavailable. I received no follow up phone call. A week after that, I received a phone call from the appointment desk to confirm my first body wrap appointment scheduled for the next day! You can imagine my frustration at my realization that nobody had taken my name off the books, nobody had expressed my interest to speak to the owner, and nobody was even making an effort to discuss my issue with me. I sent a letter via requesting that my contract be canceled via certified mail. I also sent several emails and have tried without success to speak to someone at this company. Without my conscent, my credit card was charged over $1,000, and I am in continued disputes with my credit card company to remove the charges. I have since moved to Louisville, and have celebrated my wedding. I do understand the importance of contracts, but I certainly expected to be treated with a shred of respect, if not compassion with regard to my situation. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Please do yourself a favor and spend your money with businesses in our community that value your patronage and work for your business. more

OMG! TALK ABOUT A BOOST OF BEAUTY 5/13/2010

So, I had four weeks to feel great in a bikini... we've all been there... I work out. I eat healthy. I've never felt confident about my waistline or the cellulite on the back of my legs. I met Gloria Exum, one of La Bella's prima massage therapists through a mutual friend and she convinced me Synergy treatments in conjunction with wraps would get me in shape in time for the Songwriter's Fest in Key West just four weeks later. I was skeptical. I mean, I'd been working out and dieting like crazy, I was training for the half marathon!... and NOTHING was helping the back of my legs look less lumpy or getting my waistline where I wanted it to be. I committed to four weeks of treatments. I continued with my diet and exercise. Let me tell you, I felt like a MILLION bucks trotting around Key West. Through everything I've ever done, Synergy treatments smoothed the back of my legs, toned my arms and tummy, lifted and smoothed my bum... the wraps helped me feel toned and slim. I have NEVER felt better about myself!!!! The staff at La Bella is so friendly and they made me feel like part of their warm, happy family. I will be a client for LIFE! xoxo -Dani more

I'm Kirsten Harris, daughter of Betty Harris the owner. She had me at 18 years old and still went to school and pursued her dreams. She is captivating and charismatic and I wouldn't trade her for anything! She likes to start projects from the ground up and and take them all the way to the top. She does everything 110 % and she is the hardest worker that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her clients are her number one priority (right after her family of course) and her business is incredibly successul. I'm immensly proud of her and anyone who is fortunate enough to receive services from La Bella e Famosa should consider themselves lucky!!!! I recently visited La Bella e Famosa salon for a massage and was blown away by the quality and and dedication of the staff. Their main concern was that I was as comfortable as possible even while waiting for my appointment to start. I arrived a few minutes early and was told I could wait in their "relaxation room" while I was waiting to start, which is a WAY better way to start than any other spa that I have been to. The massage was by far the best that I have ever had and I have recieved several over the past couple years. All my massage therapist cared about was that I was comfortable and that I left feeling 100% better than I did when I arrived. The location is very convenient and easy to get to. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a massage or a day to relax, be treated like royalty, and go home feeling like a new person! Pros: Great atmosphere, Excellent massage therapists Cons: None! more

I drive from out of town to go to this Spa! It is that wonderful. I would NOT go anywhere else. They have great prices for the services offered. I have never not seen a smile on the faces of customers and staff. Everyone is very pleasant and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Consultations are FREE!!! Which is one of the reasons I started going to this spa from out of town. They gave me a reason to drive a few hours, for great service. You can't get that anywhere. I have been doing the Cellusleek treatments my last 4 visits. IT IS WONDERFUL! I would NEVER do a body wrap over this! You don't get half the results from a bodywrap in the time frame you do from Cellusleek! If you are unhappy with the cellulite treatments you should try working out and doing the treatments. Only going to the spa isnt going to get you in shape! So the money spent is totally worth it!!! This is a upper end spa and you get upper end care. I would not go anywhere else and I will continue to drive from out of town to visit my spa specialist ASHLEY!!! She is so kind and I always recommend all my clients and friends to her! I couldnt be more happy with Ashley and La Bella Spa and Salon!!! I will always be faithful to you!!!! Pros: great customer service and extrememly friendly staff! Cons: none! more

This is a very high end spa. All of the staff try their hardest to meet everyones needs as best as they can. There aren't any charges for the consultations at ALLL!!! Which is really nice because you never get to completely try something for free now -a-days.. The skin care, Issima, is beautifully wrapped as well as makes your face feel incredible afterwards. Their new machine, the Cellusleek, is a wonder. People don't understand that cellulite is NOT going to go away after one treatment... THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!! Let's be real folks; Cellulite is treated by subdermal therapy and there are very few machines that target cellulite. The staff is very professional and thoroughly explains everything they do. Betty Harris is an AMAZING woman who tries her hardest to meet her client's goals. She truly cares about people and can remember her clients all the way back from a decade ago. Yes, it is a pricey treatment but my consultant very clearly laid out the pricing before I agreed to anything. She was very sweet, understanding, patient and thorough. I always felt confident that I was in the best of hands, getting excellent care, and certainly never being pushed into anything. I couldn’t have had a worst experience. I should have read the reviews listed here before I considered going to this spa. My intention was to have a body wrap but when I saw in their website about the cellusleek it definitely call my attention. It's the Rolls Royce of any body contouring available!!! Yeah! what they don’t put in their website is that you will need many of the $250 treatments. IT IS NOT A ONE TIME TREATMENT LIKE A BODY WRAP. When I got there for my consultation, I was told I will need 10 treatments for my stage 1-2 cellulite but that she will give a deal and work with me. Fool of me that I considered for a moment to spend $2,000 when I only went for a one time treatment of $250. Only when she was done, she told me I would need to pay the $2,000 at front to get the deal of the $200 instead of the $250. What a deal???.. What a rip off!!!.. Not only that I didn’t get the results I wanted for a one time experience but also I lost $250.. As the majority of these reviews, I would not recommend this spa to ANYONE!!.. They definitely kept their promise on their website.. La Bella e Famosa Spa will assist you in getting results or we promise to give your old body back! My name is Mandy Thomas-Sumerall and I am Director of Product Development and Business Practice Consultation for The Spa Group. We are two seperate intities. Unfortunately, this disasterous client belongs to us, and is in no way associated with La Bella Salon and Spa. This review will be removed within three to five buisness days, per City Search. It was suppose to be removed last week, however, there was a system crash, and therefore they were unable to do so at the time. It is sad and we feel remorse on behalf of Miss Tisdale that she cannot stay in business. We feel this is primarily due to her lack of social awareness in common business practices, as you can see above. She has in her posession, a machine that we, The Spa Group, sold to her on "faith". She has generated plentiful revenue with this machine, but has yet to pay for it! We have simply requested either the return of the machine, or the pay off. Neither of which, have been satisfied. We have been forced to take legal action against Miss Tisdale, since she has no recourse of correcting her mal payment. She has resorted to means such as these. We feel if she would spend this energy promoting her business, she would not be in the state she is in. We wish Miss Tisdale the best of luck Pros: Credit Card Complaint Reply Cons: None more

I felt like I should have been watching out for paparazzi when I got to the spa. It is so seclusive, I felt like I was a celebrity; getting that special treatment that everyone wants to know about. Well I just could not keep it my little secret for long! It is absolutley AMAZING! I had to find some way to let people know about the AAAAMAZING results that I had. I though that I was going to be stuck with cellulite for ever. Can I just say I want to wear shorts in the winter now!? Searously, I am buying one of those machines My face? I thought my acne would never go away but the owner herself sat down with me analyzed my skin, and completely rescued my complection with her wonderful products.
